Dear patrons!

Time for a release!
Thank you so much for being part of our humble adventure, we're ever so grateful for your support and kind words.
We hope you and your players will enjoy these new assets as much as we did enjoy creating them!

Contents of this release

Vines

By learning some techniques with Geometry nodes in Blender, we've created some interesting results with vines.
Not quite the full-rigged animations yet but they should hopefully fill in some of the gaps in the meantime.
We're still quite a ways from making a convincing Thorn Whip animation but we're making progress!
We've made a few variations of these with a flower head, a big eye or a spike-tail or a simpler verion without a head, each variant with or without thorns/eyes.
And a new version of Entangle
When we posted the sneak-peek for these, it was requested that we removed the earth mounds if possible.
We think we have a good idea that should still look acceptable and we will add these variations next month.
If you can think of a variation you'd like to see colour-wise or just an idea of texture or model for the head, feel free to suggest it in the comments or in our Discord server.

Note : We have only created looped versions and complete animations (intro-loop-outro), as Sequencer will allow for "internal loops" when the effect is persisted.
This feature has been fixed in the latest test version of Sequencer.
Please install via manifest to test all the new features and give Wasp some feedback and bug report (with a quick explanation, a video if possible and steps to reproduce the bug, please!)

The timings have been added to the database for the vines, the new entangle, as well as for the chain markers. Complete versions of the Shield spell animations are coming soon™

Water Splashes

We've been looking for a way to make a 'water fountain' type animation.
A couple of Blender tutorials inspired us and we managed to find a way to seamlessly loop these animations, using a nice procedural shader that almost looks like a hand-drawn animation.
The cone version works pretty well to make it look like a small waterfall too which is nice!

Is there anyway you can add a snake head to Thorn Whip? Then the mage equivalent in the Yuan-ti can use it, and it will be thematic

When we get around to it, we can maybe give it a try but it's quite challenging, no promises! 😅

It would be awesome if you could though. No time frame in mind as it will be a few months before my party are heading to Amn and the desert region to face off against the Yuan-ti slave Lords based there
