Hi guys,

Just a minor thing that I'll drop in the video somewhere but is a nice update!

I usually just use nihilahk oxide over nuln oil'ed copper or bronze, and rub off the excess, but that doesn't quite get the effect I want on smooth areas, and also doesn't leave a great deal of texture.

So, I did the first random patchy dabbed layer using geek gaming super fine black sand (the volcanic stuff) mixed with the oxide. The results were really nice and quite quick to achieve.

The sand is far thinner than the stuff in typhus corrosion it seems, so it's superior to scale than using that stuff (and cheaper too gram for gram).

I did something extra here that really helped compared to my past efforts with dabbing corrosion - I got the bare minimum of oxide in my brush and brushed over wherever the corrosion met shiny metal and blended the two so the contrast wasn't so jarring. I really like the results!

Can't wait to try it on the larger pieces too 😁
