STORE STUFF: BD stuff arrives Wednesday, Petzl + Fixe + Edelrid + LS3 is on the shelf/website.  VP of N.A. Mammut comes over to my house next week since they don't sell to "online-only" retailers.  Trying to convince him otherwise.  Beal stuff will get ordered next week.  It's very exciting to see all this gear and I'm learning A TON.  The videos will get better because of this store.

I'm hiring a store manager and that could really cease up the engine if everyone DM'd me so we created a Google form that communicated clearly what I needed and then what the job entailed and that narrowed 1000 interested people down to the 18 applicants which only 4 even sorta qualified for.  If you live in WA, are interested, or just bored and want to see it, https://forms.gle/WmKp2HvhaqRFQRqx8

We've done about 10 orders in August and ironed out many (not all) kinks. Even figured out this international shipping thing though there is a lot more to learn about it.

I put out a bolting bible, drop tower, and a whole bunch of episodes as I went taking people along for the journey.  HOWEVER, I want the store to be GREAT when I say "it's open" so I'm going to wait another week before give you the link or password.  BUT if you need anything you can think of from Petzl, Fixe, Edelrid, Beal, or LS3 in the next week at 25% off just email me at ryan@slackline.com and I'll hook you up.  Otherwise, I'll see if we can officially soft open up the store next Saturday to patrons!

What about selling at climbing oder slackline events. Or does it literally have to be a brick and mortar store for BD?

BD is being cool. Mammut needs convincing. They want a real brick and mortar because it so "seriousness, commitment and legitimacy". After working with EG I can understand that but interviewing people who work for brick-and-mortar climbing stores, brick and mortar doesn't mean "quality". All the subscriptions to run a store including Shopify costs more than commercial retail rent.
