I'm pretty sure that what Bart didn't remember at that time had to do with, IDK... maybe the fact that Ruth's daughter Laura was coming back that same night and Ruth was supposed to pick her up from the airport? Or who knows, maybe he forgot to flush the toilet?

Although I'm pretty sure it has to do with the first option, haha.
