Augusts APC: Every option included with our largest ever kit! (Patreon)
Content
Hello Patrons,
Thanks for your patience while we prepared this months model. As the largest and most technically ambitious model we have ever created, we wanted to take the time to ensure a great user experience for you.
The model has been optimised since the start for easy 3D printing on a standard 5.5” LCD resin printer, and we have test printed each component multiple times, on three different printers, and at both 50um and 100um layer heights. There is no need to be concerned at the scale of the model - we have put in the hard work and are confident you will have a great experience printing and building it.
Full build instructions and specific printing advice will be made available with the download link.
Here are all the components included with the kit:
Key features:
- Two different Front Hull configurations - WW2 DUKW with full amphibious capabilities, and Modern armoured cabin loosely based on MRAP style vehicles.
- Four different Rear Hull configurations - Fully Armoured with top hatch, Open Topped, Soft Top Or Armoured High Top with rear turret mount.
- Optional main turret with choice of Cyclic Phase Blaster, 75mm Howitzer Cannon or 20mm Chaingun.
- Secondary hull turret with HMG or Reconnaissance Array or Heavy Grenade launcher.
- Rear cabin with full interior detailing.
- Front Wheels, Turrets and larger ramps/hatches are fully poseable.
- Concrete Bunker included which can mount an access hatch or full turret on top.
- Designed and optimised for highly efficient production - taking just 3/4 prints and approx 100ml of resin per vehicle.
A scale shot showing the Sergeant from our D-Day set next to the APC. The model is slightly longer, slightly narrower and (depending on build) slightly taller than a popular plastic APC kit from a much larger manufacturer
Open Topped build showing off the interior detailing. HMG and Howitzer turret.
An unarmed DUKW transport variant, with soft top rear section, recon array, and a hatch placed directly in the turret ring.
Interior detailing: The rear ramp remains attached in the upright position, or can be opened and removed. There are separate ramps for the fully armoured and soft/open topped hulls.
DUKW front with HMG hull turret and soft top rear hull.
Above: The same soft top rear hull but combined with the Recon array and modern front section.
The Modern Front with armoured rear hull section.
The rear ramp and hatches can be modelled in an open position if desired.
The Armoured High Top Rear hull option gives the vehicle a bulkier profile and incorporates vision/shooting slots in the sides. You can mount a turret or just a hatch (as shown above) in the rear hull.
It was not our intention during the design stage, but you can also mount 2 turrets if you really need a lot of fire power! Shown below with 2 x20mm chain gun and a hull turret HMG.
Here are some renders showing groups of differently configured vehicles:
And finally, we sent an advance copy of the STL’s to Patron SonicSledgehammer, who very kindly printed and assembled a kit (with no instructions supplied, so it’s user friendly!) to help us check it all works. Here is his finished model (From an Elgoo Mars 2)and we look forward to seeing it painted soon!

Look out for the download link and full printing and assembly instructions, coming soon!
Thanks,
