Hello Patrons,

This months download is a little delayed due to some personal circumstances, but the download should be ready in a few days time.

For Drop Troops : Force Recon, we have created lighter armoured and equipped versions of the originals, designed for rapid recon and intelligence gathering missions.

Here is everything you get in one image!

Six fully modular infantry equipped with a selection of light weapons, and one big one!

The Rail Rifle (above) is based on our resin specialist weapon arms, and the top section is removable and interchangeable.

Bang.

Any of our prior "Pistol Grip" style rifles (either digital or resin) are fully compatible with these arms.

Here are all the separate parts:

Poches and similar small elements are separate, removable shells.

Providing some serious fire support is a new version of the Ogre with lighter armour, (including the option to remove armour plates from the arms) and a larger version of the Rail Rifle.

There are also some canopy options and two leg and arm poses.

Most of the components are compatible/interchangeable with the original Ogre from the first Drop Troops set.

The Jetpack can be replaced with a stowage module.

Above is the advancing pose, showcasing the arms with armour plates removed.

Below are all the separate components.

Leading your troops we have three character models.

The Pilot:

The Sniper, with Rail Rifle and adaptive camouflage netting:

compatible with our resin specialist weapons if desired.

The Wall Runner, with slung rifle and wrist harpoon gun (supplied with wall elements, or will also work without the wall using an alternate hand):

Finally, bring your battlefield to life with a set of fully modular Concrete barricade walls and wrecked Ogre Mech!

We hope you like this months content! Download link coming soon!

Thanks,

Team Anvil

I'm in love with this pack! Think it might even be better than the first one!

These are incredible thank you.

CycyX

Wonderful! Take your time, there is no rush...

Praise for your work, these are just fantastic and I love the modern style.

John Hammer

These are excellent. Really excited to print some

*gates from the 6-4* pilot, prepare for titanfall

Ooh! what is that power armor-looking torso in the rubble on the last pick?

Anonymous

These are really stunning. The original run of drop troops was just a little too busy for what I had in mind, though a lot of the individual parts saw use in things, but these guys are absolutely what I need for some Five Parsecs and near-future milsec stuff. :D

Can't wait to make a Stargrave kill team with these and other anvil bits!

A wrecked Ogre mech is what it says.. Will make nice KT board bits fosho

Love them, gonna use this mixed with the post apocalyptic release to make some closer to Russian special forces unit.

Thanks Mr Sledgehammer for introducing me to this wonderful group of people that are Anvil Digital Forge, would never have known about them if it wasn't for you.

I wasn’t planning on picking up more patreons but you had me at the mech and wall running soldier ❤️🦾 hope to see more of these drop troopers!

This second release is so cool. I am happy to see some more attention put back into some of these themes. What kit do we find more STL's for the specialist weapons that you can trade out like it shows with the sniper?

anvildigitalforge

None currently. We may do digital Specialist weapons in future, but for now its just an option for a hybrid resin/print.

Im new to Anvil Industries Patreon and the idea of fully modular, customizable sets. I noticed you mentioned the ability to customize the torsos and the arms on the OGRE. Is this something we need to manually do inside of Blender or similar 3D program?

anvildigitalforge

Thats correct. Blender is easiest but other free CAD programs offer similar functionality. The "kitbashing" section of our Light Mech how to covers the basics - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yubc0k_wlcE It is quite quick and easy once you have done it a few times.
