Pausing in July, have to take a break and minor Patreon changes (Patreon)

Hey everyone,
The last several updates (since October 2020) have been delayed many times because my burnout has gotten really bad, mostly amplified by prolonged pandemic fatigue.

My assistants have been helping tremendously (thanks to you guys here), but I'm still handling the majority of the work that can't be outsourced. I was planning many extra goodies and behind-the-scenes stuff, but don't have the energy to follow through. I think that's a sign to take a break for a month or two.

I'm pausing Patreon again in July. No charge for existing patrons, unless anyone pledges up.

Many of you have been so kindly supportive for so many years, so I don't want to abuse your trust by charging you every month when I'm still unsure about when I'll get over this burnout. Patreon will continue as usual when I'm more certain about what I can post here.

I know it seemed like I took multiple breaks already, but I was still squeezing out drawings while dealing with random life crap during quarantine, so none of it was ever a real break.

I'm well aware that long breaks can make people forget, but if I rushed the next update, it will be half-assed, and I don't want t do that just to collect your money. Especially since the remaining chapters are crucial to the story as a whole.

Each Patreon update is written like one chapter in a novel and it takes multiple rounds of editing before it's ready to post here.

Minor change to Patreon

The $1 will be inaccessible to new patrons, but everyone who's already in it (mostly you guys have been very supportive for years) will always maintain the same perks.

Patreon has been discouraging creators to have a $1 tier by slapping more fees if I gain more patrons on this tier. This tier also got a few frauds earlier this year, so it makes more sense to remove it since I'm not charging during hiatus (for now).

To replace it, I'll make a free email newsletter and will update on Webtoons after sorting out the ban that happened last April. I just haven't got the time and energy to deal with it yet. It's on my to do  list.

There  are also very mild NSFW panels in some story chapters, which I don't think need censoring cos it just creates extra work for me. To simplify my workload here, I'll just filter out anyone who may be offended by such mild things. If I think something is really NSFW, then it will only be visible to NoRa's fleet and above.

If there was no pandemic fatigue, I wouldn't be taking breaks. The speed of making comics is highly affected by the state of my mental health, which has been deep fried by 1+ years of quarantine.

I hope you understand why I'm taking this one month at a time, and I will let you know what's up next month.
