The Carter 3 hasn't even been out ten years and y'all want to call it a classic? Hip hop fans have no patience. Then again, I guess that should have been apparent when MBDTF won the poll SEVEN years after it came out.

I feel like Tha Carter 3 is only seen as a classic because people don't wanna say Wayne didn't have a classic. He for sure had an era where he was the biggest artist in the game and had dope verses on everyone tracks but he never put out anything close to a masterpiece IMO.

Ik dilla ain't gonna win but I really hope one day they get to one of his projects one day. Dilla embodied hip hop and that's apparent in all of his production especially on the slum village albums and donuts. Dilla, Elliott smith, and Kurt cobain are my favourite artists of all time 🤘🏿

I can understand if the album just came out to hold judgement if it’s a classic or not. But if it’s been years and the sound of landscape of the music is different, I don’t see the issue with looking back and saying if the album is classic or not. There’s not set time requirements (besides it not being immediately).

CARTER 3 - Legendary album with much story and hype building up to it. One of the few albums I can play start to finish every day of the week. Mr Carter, A Milli, Dr Carter, Shoot Me Down, Mrs Officer, Comfortable.... so many well-made complete songs

Can we do a separate poll for people over 30? It's basically gotten to the point that any rapper or rap group from the 80s or early 90s has no chance because of the average voter's age. Geto Boys getting blown out by Wayne is a fucking disgrace.

You should just do some of these where Ken gets to pick with no vote. There are too many young viewers and it really skews these polls towards less deserving albums just because they’re newer or more popular.

Let's be honest here if they review the Black Star album it's not going to be so entertaining. They're all going to praise it and say it was a dope album, which it was. The Carter 3 was a hit or miss with a lot of people. I know these guys liked the album. But I want to know what was their first initial reaction listening to the album. What tracks did they like or truly despised?Do they consider it a classic? It was the hottest album of the late 00s. The Carter 3 review will open up a better and more interesting discussion imo.

Just a few suggestions, guys: When you talk about these classic albums, could you please state your favourite tracks in the album and what personally makes the album stand out to you: content, lyrics, production, and highlight/quote them? I am saying this because I felt that I wanted to know more about these in your Food and Liquor review. You guys do a great job contextualizing the impact of the album, I feel the above suggestions could help further add to the videos. Thank you for reading, and keep up the good work!
