Happy Nezuko [Illustration + PSD] (Patreon)

On of my recent sepia artworks I'm proud of. Although the planning of the composition was quite simple the result looks pleasant enough. I am especially satisfied with Nezuko's expression.

There is not much about the workflow to say. You can see in the PSD hierarchy that most of the layers are technically lineart only while the color sections has the same basis canvas, namely the background as main texture.

The other interesting aspect is the edge around Nezuko's body. You can clearly see the lighter lines next to the outlines which helps to flesh out Nezuko's apperance a bit more so that she won't go down under the dark colors of the bamboo fence. You can see something similar on my recent Pokémon illustration.
