I got curious after your comment about how Anya Taylor-Joy prepared for her role, and found this interview from Entertainment weekly where she said that because of the complexity of the games, she had to memorize the moves like choreography before each scene. I believe she comes from dance so she said it was like a dance for her hands

this is not queens gambit related (i am very much enjoying watching with you) but you should consider reacting to the new caroline polachek album "desire, i want to turn into you" it is definitely one of my fave albums of this year and i would love to know what you think of it!
