I've only seen your reaction to 2x3 when writing this so I may go back to edit it if you mention it later. But for the confusion on why Nate is going back to Maddy, think about what it is that Maddy has in her possession. Maddy has something that Nate wants and can probably only get back from being close to her.

I think that Nate is such a great manipulator of people that he could get it from Maddy without trying to “rekindle” their relationship for it. Maybe that’s what he’s using to justify jumping between multiple women? IDK some things that this character does you just can’t explain.

Yeah, I definitely think there are multiple reasons. He definitely likes Maddy to some extent, but I feel like the comfortability is one of the many reason they are both grasping at the last pieces of the relationship.

I also think that it's important to remember the beginning of episode 3 when talking about Jules, or anyone on the show, not realizing Rue is on drugs. She admits to gaslighting and lying to them, like when Gia tries to question her, Rue immediately starts threatening to harm herself. Maybe Jules did know, deep down, but she was just trying to trust Rue and believe what Rue was telling her because she loves her. From the audience's point-of-view it's hard to see it that way because we know everything going on, but we have to remember that they are teenagers and going through their first relationships and such, they don't have the best sense of judgement. And also, we already know how much guilt Jules feels about their relationship in general, she was probably avoiding trying to question her or anything to try to make everything seem 'perfect'.

Something not a lot of people picked up on is that Jules self-harmed after finding out about Rue. Jules' mindset is very confusing here, as she worried Rue wasn't attracted to her, then got told she can't stand her, then found out she had been secretly doing drugs behind her back the entire time they were together. People give Jules such a hard time for her actions in this episode, but I think it's important to remember that she is a character rooted in needing love. When she wasn't getting it from Rue, she found it in Elliot, who was genuinely complimenting her and giving her the love/attention Rue wasn't.

I get everything everyone is saying about Jules and why she did what she did.....but like it still doesn't make it okay and that's why people are so hard on her for it. If you're not getting something you need from your current relationship, then leave it. Cheating whether it's emotional or physical isn't okay no matter what the situation is.

I was really into the 90's soundtrack for Ep. 3. Not one, but two INXS songs! And then one more INXS song in Ep. 4. Cal's musical taste may be his only redeeming quality. The "so real" movie Fezco was watching was "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" with Donald Sutherland.

Cheating definitely isn’t okay. But people making out Jules to be the “evil” one or any type of villain is very strange to me. In my opinion, I think Rue’s actions towards everyone throughout this season and last are worst than Jules cheating.

You really have to check out Dominic fikes don’t forget about me demos. It’s like an album or ep or sum but they’re demos bc he made them on house arrest and released them when he was in jail. Also Joshua Bassetts sister was one of the girls auditioning for lexis play.
