I just want to let you guys know that although the episodes and the animation have been great so far, this is all due to the efforts of the animation team and staff and NOT Mappa Studio. Around 4 days ago, JJK animators had a collective meltdown on Twitter about the poor working conditions and overworked to exhaustion. Episodes are being completed mere hours before their release. The staff requested a delay for the episodes but were denied by the production committee. There is more info about this on Twitter and Reddit (TW: some posts on Twitter contain triggering topics).

Yeah, the entire situation is such a mess but I'm happy that the animators are standing up for themselves. I don't care if I have to wait another 6 months for the rest of episodes as long as they were made in good working conditions. I believe someone on the team said with the most recent episode, (S2 EP17) they were only able to showcase about 30% of their intended vision?? And mind you that episode was straight fire.

Its a shitshow. I have no problems with them delaying the show or going on haitus so they can try and negotiate for better working conditions, but it's not just Mappa it's a lot of studios. I hope the execs get a good smack in the face tbh...

I agree. Mappa is getting high on their horses thinking they could just do this to the animators. They are also getting ahead of themselves by taking all these popular shows when they can't handle the workload at all.

2023-12-10 18:47:30 The animations are absolutely amazing this season but MAPPA is just a fucking disgrace of a company. The working conditions are just absolutely HORRIBLE. The schedule is so tight that the animation team isn't even physically able to finish the episodes in time. The episodes are "done"" not even hours before it's OFFICIAL RELEASE. Some of the most recent episodes have been hands down the best animated episodes of all JJK but you can clearly see that some scenes and cuts are just barely done due to sheer lack of time. (The recent episode from this week, the most hype and BEST episode we got so far only translates into 30% of their intended vision...) If you think about what could have been with a proper working environment and healthy schedule... (For reference the entirety of the JJK 0 Movie has been done in less than 4 months. THATS LIKE NOTHING). JJK S2 deserves so much better because all these incredibly talented animators are working their ass off to present an phenomenal experience for the viewers and fans yet are not satisfied with their work at all. And even with all these circumstances they are still able to deliver absolute masterpieces of episodes, the animators are just THAT GOOD.
