It’s strange bc yes this season felt shorter than season 2, but two episodes of this season were actually double length, so it was technically longer than season 2 lol. I personally don’t know when the next season comes out, but I hope it’s soon. And yes it’s true we are very close to the end now.

Glad you both enjoyed this season! It's always so disheartening for me when people disregard this arc when it's one of my favorite arcs. Mugen Train and the Entertainment District do kind of feel more conclusive, but that's because the Hashira that were showcased in those arcs are no longer necessarily part of the battle against demons. Rengoku is dead and Tengen is retired, and the two were given a proper send off. Muichirou and Mitsuri are still alive and well, meaning they will still continue to fight in the battle against demons. It's also worth mentioning that Tanjirou didn't really use Thunder Breathing like Zenitsu does. Remember, all breathing techniques are derived from Sun Breathing, which theoretically means that Tanjirou, a Sun Breather, could take the traits of these offshoot breathing techniques. Breathing styles are all connected via Sun Breathing and Tanjirou is able to combine whatever necessary to use to his advantage as long as he has an understanding on what each Breathing style focuses on. As for what Muichirou say about the sword, I take it to be more symbolic. The guy that originally wielded that sword is the first ever Breath user and slayers have one mission - to annihilate demons. His will to destroy demons with his blade passes on to future slayers and their own blades. That sword was just the beginning of a long line of slayers carrying out his will. The start of a long and ongoing battle. Also, it's not quite clear, but the scene with all those slayers are most likely to be Hashira from the past. We see Rengoku's father, Urokodaki, and even Jigoro (the former Hashira that trained Zenitsu), then we see the current line-up of Hashira, and then Tanjirou's Final Selection crew and Nezuko. While Tanjirou and his gang of friends aren't Hashira, they are most definitely a group of catalysts as Upper Ranks started to die with them being the slayers involved with the fights. The next arc is the Hashira Training arc, which is roughly estimated to be aired some time in 2024. In the manga, this is an extremely short arc; it's also the calm before the storm - the beginning of the end. After this arc, please have tissues prepared just in case. Seriously, you have been warned. There are seven active Hashira, the five slayers from Tanjirou’s Final Selection group, and Nezuko. All of them still have a chance to die at the hands of Muzan and the remaining Upper Moons. I repeat, they all still have a chance to die.

I'M SO SORRY!! I HAD TO WARN YOU BOTH IN ADVANCE ON WHAT COULD POTENTIALLY COME!! WHETHER OR NOT SOMETHING HAPPENS, REMEMBER THAT THERE'S ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY!! I'm not kidding when I say the Hashira Training arc is the calm before the storm. You will get serious whiplash when the final battle starts. In the meantime, celebrate Uzui's birthday! Of course, his birthday's flashily on Halloween!

Listen I was crying so hard during the nezuko scene in the manga, and so I thought I’d be prepared for the anime version BUT NOPE!!! The voice acting heartbreaking, the animation beautifully sad, the SONG WITH A CHILDRENS CHOIR IS JUST CHEATING + A FLASHBACK EVEN THO I KNEW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN I STILL TEARED UP DAMN

As someone who read the manga in one go across a few days I feel like there a lot of details about the master and his family’s connection to Muzan that I didn’t hang onto, like does the Muzan dying before his 20th bday warning connect to the health condition of the masters family where it was like the same thing?? SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS HELP ME

There’s been no info about Season 4 of demon slayer yet, yes the manga is finished but it’s more like there’s 1.5 arcs after this season so I think they’ll have to plan this out carefully, I think the best course of action would be to have just a longer season and split it into parts —but I could see how tiring production will be like the amount of content needs to be at least 50 episodes

One thing I will point out in that I always found interesting is the Japanese word that has always been used for this show for what the demons are is “oni” which if you know of their mythology Muzan’s origin story makes more sense than if you think the creatures are just “demons” like just creatures that are made in hell from some evil being. Oni are evil spirits that are believed to originally be human but specifically are evil humans that die and are sent to hell and transformed into onis. Also the reason why Nezuko has one horn is because usually Onis are depicted as like ogres with horns. So to me it makes sense why the demons of this show rather than what you probably have been thinking of as demons

they're not the same thing. it was explained in chapter 137 if u want to reread that again :)

Muzan was from the Heian Era (794–1185), I think most wealthy houses started to look like that during that era, with more focus of the nature. so you will often see a garden with pond and stuff in the middle of the household

ufotable chooses amazing project every single time. They delivered again and again. This episode feels like a movie. I watched it three to four times now and i cry like it's my first time.

The only thing I have a problem with regarding this episode is Tanjiro “realizing how to use thunder breathing at the right moment”. I mean… if there was showed in the flashback that he trained that, but no it was just explained to him how to do that and that was it… And if he is so talented to learn it on his own with any practice, why didn’t he use it much sooner? Like… it would have been so useful during that fight many times… But to add something positive. I don’t want to sound like I didn’t like this show, but let’s say I wasn’t that much amazed by it as others. First season got really repetitive for me and although with the second season I started to get into (maybe mainly because of Tengen Uzui and the festive opening), it still wasn’t like I would be looking forward to watch the next episode as it is for me with Hunter x Hunter and Shingeki no Kyojin for example. But after this season ended, I am kind of really curious of what is waiting for us in the next season!!
