The Glory was based on a real incident that happened in 2006 in Korea and another real incident in Japan.

YES! Looking forward to rewatching this in the original Korean with subs. I watched it with my mom English dubbed and English is her 2nd language so she can’t do English subtitles and most every place doesn’t have subs in her 1st language.

The show just gets better after this!! As another commenter mentioned the bullying incident is an actual incident that happened where the victim has burn marks on her body. The victim went on a show to talk about it I just don’t know which one. Also side note, not necessarily a spoiler, but lee do hyun and lim ji-yeon (the actress for older park yeonjin) are dating in real life. They started dating around the filming of the show so do what you want with that piece of information while we progress with the story and the characters they each portray.

in case you did not know lee do hyun and the actress who play Yeo-Jin Lim ji Yeon of present day are dating in real life right now.

2023-09-30 14:52:44 When you talked about Moon Donggeun describing her bullies in such a creepy beautiful way, Park Yeonjin in particular, it again made me think about the line she said to her daughter: "some hatred resembles longing"

If you like Lee Do Hyun, Youth of May and The Good Bad Mother are absolutely necessary to watch!!! Spectacular shows and he obviously acts incredibly in both.

I have to say, PD's impersonation of Joe was really good and on point.

Yesssss literally the first kdrama I watched fully since My Mister

I don’t think Moon Dongeun would have ever been satisfied or capable of healing and taking the better path - there was no way to make sense of a reality where your life gets trashed so thoroughly and the villains will never even get a slap on the wrist, will get their happy ever after. I think she felt like she was better off dying right then and there than to accept that as reality. And so committing herself to obsessive revenge was the only way for her to keep living and being motivated to not just lie down and pass on.
