YESSSSS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!

jaeminono

thank you for the reaction PD and Blaire!! also, will we be getting the bonus drops for treasure and nct dream this week?

Gabrielle Renae

I will say the only issue I had was the camera work. It was driving me crazy but I've seen camera work like that back in the day on music programs and of course, most award shows. Other than that, it was great. I was joining in from my room and they did great. The energy was amazing and they looked like they were having so much fun.

Jay

hi PD and blaire! I've been waiting for this reaction and enjoyed it again with the two of you! when you both have time i hope you guys react to blackpink's week 2 coachella headlining performance too!

wendy

The growth that txt has done from last year to present, all of them have worked hard to bring better stages and they how they feel more comfortable on stage, I do hope pd reacts to their Disney + our lost summer doc, it brought up a lot of ways they work with each other and how they felt about Lolla last year.

Tema

Long comment ahead I’m sorry 😅 I was writing it while watching lol This was such a life changing performance. I was there near the front/center in the rain all day and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I’m so so proud and happy for them. They pulled off an amazing performance. I can’t explain how bad I want a live album. I’ve been wanting one since their first Act: Boy concert but after this years lolla I NEED it. The whole performance not just some of the songs. The live band was insaneeeeeee. You couldn’t see it on stream but they did have their names above what instrument they were playing. They also did the same with the dancers! Blue Spring was composed by Beomgyu and written by all the members as a surprise for MOA for this last tour. I’m not the best at explaining the Hangul meaning but they said if you combine blue and spring it also means youth. As in MOA are TXT’s youth 🥰 it’s similar to their song Sweat as it is not released on any streaming platforms except for a performance video on their YouTube channel. They actually raised the capacity this for lolla from 100k to 115k this year and it was PACKED. I got so emotional when I saw the crowd shots during Blue Spring. It’s hard to tell but that stage was at the bottom of a hill so if you were close you couldn’t see past the peak of the hill so I had no idea just how many people were there until I noticed all the lights during that song. It was magical. I feel like a couple of us have been preaching in your comments about center Taehyun moments and we finally got a chance to show it to you with this lol. I might be biased since he’s my bias but Taehyun shines sooo much on stage. You can tell all the members were having the time of their life but Taehyun’s energy really stood out to me 🥰 Taehyun does work out the most in the group. He is the gym junkie. While the other members work out because they are idols- Taehyun works out for fun. He even works out AFTER their concerts- I can’t even like HOW. Their stamina was crazy. They just kept on coming out with more and more dance breaks with little to no actual breaks. I couldn’t believe how much they packed into their performance. I thought their stamina for their concerts were crazy but this was another level. It’s sooo hard to pick out a favorite performance. Loser Lover is my favorite song but I’ve been manifesting seeing the Magic dance break in person for years now and I had given up hope that unless I went to Korea I wouldn’t get to see it. So that will forever hold a special place in my heart. Being the first to see Do It Like That was also special. It’s really rare for an American audience to see a song before Korean fans get too. Do you have plans to check out Kai and Yeonjun’s mix and max performance or the TXT documentary on Disney plus? I think you would really enjoy both of them 🥰

Estrella

Loved the reaction ! I just love how we as fans can tell that they poured their all into this show. We can definitely see the improvement and stability they have established throughout the years. So proud of them !! 🥰🥰 ps- some of the txt content is unavailable and I would love to watch your reactions. If you can please fix the links, I’m sure many of us would appreciate it ! Thank you !!

Seung Yoon

You guys should watch coachella blackpink killed it there.

This was such a joy rewatching this with you guys, thank you ♡ Honestly, I am just so overwhelmingly proud of TXT (which is why this comment is probably going to be so long, so I apologize in advance). As Blaire said at the end, TXT really has ‘leveled up.’ While they are by no means a ‘new group’, you have to remember that most of their career has been during covid so their performance experience, especially in front of large crowds, is actually quite limited, yet the way they interact and hype up the crowd is similar to veterans in the game – you can literally feel the energy through the screen. I think TXT has always been great performers, but their two tours over the past year have absolutely catapulted them to a whole new level, and I’m so excited to see how much further they are going to go. They were giving 100% from the start but not once did I see their energy slip and both their dance and vocals were AMAZING. One thing I’ve noticed about TXT that I don’t feel with a lot of other groups is that whenever a new person comes into center they don’t feel out of place, they hold it as their own, each offering something unique but still powerful and captivating. Before the performance, TXT said they built their set around two main themes: rock and youth, and I’d say the setlist absolutely achieved that. The two themes appear so different and yet the setlist felt so harmonious, but I suppose that’s TXT’s specialty: doing anything and everything but somehow making it make sense. That’s what I love about their concept, each album builds upon a new chapter of life so they are not restricted by sound or style; life is a mixture of everything so they can make music that reflects that. I mean who would’ve thought that we’d go from Crown to Good Boy Gone Bad, but in the context of their albums it makes complete sense. TXT said that last year’s Lollapalooza felt like a turning point for them personally (and I think the effects of that are very much evident in this performance), but I think this year’s Lollapalooza performance will be a turning point for them career-wise because, while they obviously are a very popular group, I think a lot of people continue to underrate them purely based on them being “BTS’ little brothers,” but no one can deny that this performance wasn’t short of incredible and that doesn’t come from the position you debut from, that comes from hard work and passion for what you do. When PD said “bless the live band” I felt that hard. I have been begging Big Hit since 2021 for the rock version of CYSM and am still yet to get that – I need a whole live album NOW. I honestly think it should be a requirement for TXT to perform with a live band because it just elevates their performances to a whole new level. Yes, Beomgyu is such an underrated performer! There is just something about him that is so incredibly captivating. While I LOVE long-haired Beomgyu, I do sometimes wish his hair was a little shorter because then his facial expressions would be more obvious (I think that’s why he shone so much during GBGB era, because his hair was just that little bit shorter) Dance wise, for me, he shines the most in choreographies where he utilizes his hands because he is very intentional with the details and his placement, so his dance lines are always enhanced because of that. I hope one day TXT will do a more elegant, sensual kind of concept because I think Beomgyu’s facials and dance lines would really be highlighted in that type of concept. With Yeonjun, you almost just expect him to be good, but he still managed to surpass my expectations (I swear the American air does something to him though, for the sake of my sanity I need him to calm down!) He really was made to perform on stage, and you can tell that he loves it too. His professionalism in this performance was amazing – I can’t believe he managed to perfectly rap, dance, and sing during Lonely Boy without his in ears! Also, that vocal run PD liked at the end of Blue Hour was Yeonjun. A lot of people like to classify Yeonjun as just a dancer and rapper, but he is such an amazing vocalist as well, plus the color of his voice is something I haven’t really heard in K-pop before. Over the past few years with all their concerts and tours, Taehyun has become my favorite member to watch on stage because he just absolutely comes to life when he performs, like he just suddenly has this magical aura around him. His passion and joy for the stage is so evident not only in the way he performs but also the way he approaches performances. In their recent Disney+ documentary (which I strongly recommend checking out), Soobin said that he thinks Taehyun loves their team the most and I think that becomes so evident when Taehyun performs, it’s like he’s trying to prove to everybody what he and his members are capable of. While Taehyun has become my favorite performer, Soobin has become my favorite vocalist. I initially fell in love with his tone but now that I’ve heard how clear and stable it is live, I think I’ve fallen even more in love. I think Soobin has gained a lot of confidence in his vocals over the past few years and that’s really evident. I remember in live streams and encores a few years ago Soobin always seemed quite shy when singing his parts, but now he approaches them with confidence and finesse and that’s wonderful to see, especially when you remember that he actually wanted to continue as a trainee for a little longer because he didn’t feel ready to debut yet. And finally, Hueningkai... I personally think he is the most underrated member in TXT. This boy honestly has SO much talent it’s hard to believe, not only is he an amazing singer and dancer, but aside from Yeonjun he is the member that raps the most in the group. Not only that but he’s an amazing performer, he can play guitar, piano, and drums, he’s got perfect pitch, he can write and produce songs… PD is 100% right, Kai has definitely not reached his full potential yet. I don’t think there is much he isn’t capable of if he puts his mind to it. When Kai joined Big Hit, he joined to become a singer-songwriter and they suggested that he ‘try’ dancing, and now he is an absolutely incredible dancer (his new Mix and Max performance with Yeonjun is insane!). I think he is born with musicality in his veins, and I really hope Big Hit is able to utilize and promote Kai more because he really is a gem. Honestly, this was such a long comment so I do apologize, but ever since this performance I have been so in my feels about TXT I can’t help it. I am so excited for their future and everything they will do and achieve. They really feel like such a special group, they each bring something special to the group, you can tell they love each other and love what they do and that’s ultimately a recipe for success. I think I’ll be a part of this ‘TXT cult’ as PD so wonderfully put it, for a long time.

aylin

welcome to the txt cult 😁 we have been waiting for what feels like so long for you guys to react to this so thank you so much!! i really enjoyed rewatching it as well as it really is such a legendary performance. i hadnt realised how many of these songs you guys havent seen being performed before!!! i think some txt bonus drops are desperately needed for all of us, including you two..... especially performances or dance practices of songs from their latest album (devil by the window, tinnitus; farewell neverland also has a choreo !!!) fans were already familiar with the rock version of cant you see me, the good boy gone bad dance break and the magic dance break because thats how txt usually performs those songs on their tour!! (during their insane 3 hour long concerts) it was crazy to see those performances on such a big scale and i knew you would love them too. well, what a stage to see so many new choreos and performances being displayed! watching you guys react so enthusiastically made me super excited and happy as well. blue spring is a fan song similar to moa diary or sweat, if you are familiar with that one. its not on any streaming platforms, theyve only been performing it during their latest tour. its very emotional and dear to our hearts 🫶 also yes, all the members are getting better and better at english, during their tour all the ments are in english as well!! and we can all confirm that taehyun is the gym rat of the group (maybe too much so) - theres so many taehyun at the gym flexing his muscles pics that im sure you would enjoy........ in all seriousness, i loved this reaction it was so much fun. recently there has been a lot of new txt content that i believe you guys should check out: -their 'invitation' cover they performed at weverse con -the do it like that mv -their disney+ documentary -yeonjun and kai's studio choom mix and max performance -and theres still two idol human theater episodes you havent seen yet also streets are saying that a txt comeback is happening very soon 🤭

JJ

HAVE YOU GUYS NOT SEEN THE DEVIL BY THE WINDOW PERFORMANCE VIDEO OMG sorry for screaming but now that you have seen the choreo here, I think you also have to watch it with better camera work (it's similar to the frost performance video, which I am pretty sure (or at least I hope) you have seen): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u50XFKHJKY

Serena

will u reagt to the do it like that collab mv?? i dont think yall ever watched that

MioneTwin (my-oh-nee Twin)

"Taehyun bulking up" yup he already start showing this since Blue Hour era. He already showing his abs muscle since then & proud of it. He really work out doesnt matter in gym or just while waiting for their turn during music show. He even posted pic of he abs on weverse & saying "under indoor light" just after Bighit posted their The Name Chapter Temptation - Daydream version. I feel like Huening Kai body frame increase since 2021/2022.. Please react to Studio Choom Mix & Max TXT Yeonjun & Huening Kai.

Sami Casingal

Can someone tell me what the second song was that they did?

Zukhra Talmanova

Thank you for watching this. This is such an amazing performance. AMAZING. There is so much I want to say, but I have no words haha First of all, they were OUTSTANDING. So much energy, such crisp vocals, such sharp moves, it's crazy! They didn't stop for the whole 90 minutes!! I was there right in front of the stage, Kai's hat thrown during Blue Hour landed not so far from me, and I was screaming like it was my last night. There were SO many people, it was packed, and they were die-hard fans! Lighsticks and merch, coming to the gates before opening at 9. Me and my friend stood there for 6 hours, it was raining and it was cold, at some point I was not feeling well, but as soon as TXT came out, I forgot about EVERYTHING hahahah. It truly was the best night of my life. Standing there, I was laughing, singing, and dancing, and yelling, and crying, it was so much. And it went by so fast!!! I honestly didn't even notice how fast it went, one minute they started, and the second, it was over! I felt like they performed 10 songs! And I was shocked when I re-watched a live stream and saw it actually was 20 songs! that's insane! There was so much energy on the stage, from both fans and TXT. Respect and only respect for them pulling it off flawlwssly. I think at some point Beomhyu hurt his shoulder but continued like nothing happened, Yeonjun had issued with ear-piece, but with any little inconvenience they still did amazing.

Zukhra Talmanova

sorry, didn't want that comment to be too long hahaha About what you were mentioning about each member in the video: I think Soobin IS INCREDIBLY STABLE. And the thing is - he always is!! I noticed it some time ago, he has amazing breath control, no matter what move he's doing or what note he has to pull off. I noticed from watching their old concerts, live stages, and comeback performances, that he is always STABLE AND SOUNDS AMAZING. And also he looked really good lol In the documentary about last year Lolla he mentioned that he was not happy with himself and couldn't enjoy it to the fullest - I hope that he did this year. He looked like he had all the fun, and he gave all of himself. BEOMGYU LOOKED LIKE AN ANGEL AND HE WAS FLIRTY AND HE WAS AMAZING AAAA there actually were so many moments where he looked like a fucking god, I caught them on my camera, but Lolla's camera work did not do justice lol hahah Also, his dancing is underrated! He is so sharp and precise about his moves, he is crisp. Also, I feel like he is the type to go even harder whenever he gets tired, or even injured! It's like the harder the choreo gets, the sharper he becomes! Kai was very charming and charismatic, my baby has grown so much what do I do ;;__;; He is becoming a very charming man. And Taehyun IS a very hot mature and handsome man! He is sexy and he is so ready to show it, like he has this tension of wanting to be the best, out there, showing himself off. And off he goes! Switching everyone's biases hahahah he got some moves and some rizz hahah And Yeonjun just shines. He is in his place, where he was meant to be. The way he is such a center, such charisma, his smiles, his moves, his vocals, the flirt, the curse - he was born to be on the stage. I think he is the one who was able to enjoy the stage from the beginning to the very last second without getting exhausted just by being who he is and what he was born to do. What an outstanding performer he is. It's just crazy to think how far they've come, how TALANTED THEY ARE like what the fuck? they were perfect! They had to build some great stamina and presence to pull it off so well. People who were not txt fans were asking me about their stage after Lollapalooza, because it was so big and intense. Coi Leray was super cute and hot, and the interaction was just the sweetest, I loved this collaboration in general! Shame Jonas brothers couldn't come, I was actually very surprised they were not coming because I thought the whole point of putting out this song in July was to bring them to the stage. Not sure what happened, but honestly it's more loss for them than for TXT lol I loved everything about this performance - every song, every dance. Being there I felt a mix of emotions of being proud of them, of just being so so so happy to see them, it was euphoric. I had a strange feeling like I wanted to hug each of them and had this feeling of them being so important to me, so close to me and to my heart like I met my dearest friends after a long wait and was about to go hug them. Had to remind myself that there is no way and they were not coming for a hug lol hahahah Was crying after this shit. Thanks so much, PD and Blare, for the reaction and such a long and thoughtful commentary after. I loved listening to it! Agree with your every word! Please stay healthy and happy! Sorry for long comments TT_TT

Oscar G.

Just one tiiiiiny correction: j-hope was the first Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza, but TXT were actually the first Korean artist to perform there! They had their set the day prior to j-hope's performance as a headliner last year ✨

izzy

omgg loved this! can you also react to skz lollapalooza performance plsss?

MioneTwin (my-oh-nee Twin)

PD, TXT Lollapalooza 2022 video is missing. Is there anywhere we can watch it?

Kpop_Platypus

I'd just like to point out that dancers absolutely do shit on Kpop artists and you'll see it if you watch even just the first episode of Street Woman Fighter. Poor Chaeyeon was pretty much everyone's target in the first battle mission because they saw her as an easy target (and to be fair, the poor lady was). They look down on them because Kpop artists are, generally speaking, not TRUE dancers who do solely that for a living and do battles & immerse themselves in dance culture; rather, they learn commercial choreography, which is just one branch of dance, and don't have what it takes to survive as a "real" dancer. It's the same way Kpop rappers are usually looked down on because they learned to rap from their companies instead of underground hip hop culture. Of course there are exceptions to the rule like Feeldog (though he's not really active as an idol anymore), & maybe Sung Hanbin, who get respect because they did come from a competitive street dance background and then transferred to Kpop, but even the best Kpop dancers - Taeyong, Taemin, Momo, Jimin - don't have any standing in the dance community. Much as I'd love it to be untrue, dancers aren't any more open minded & accepting than any other group when it comes to Kpop artists.

Jodi Wong

oh y’all don’t even know 😭 xiumin told the contestants on the nct show the other day that singing is the most important, if you can’t sing then even if you can dance it won’t look good” and people started getting mad

MioneTwin (my-oh-nee Twin)

I forgot to share this beautiful drone shot during Blue Spring during Lollapalooza. The lights from the stage with those handphone light really make the crowd look they're in a meadow or field of flowers https://twitter.com/Z_clik/status/1688435605686927360

gracecitrus

tysm for this reaction, i really enjoyed rewatching it with you!! fyi txt will be performing at the vmas, it will be a debut performance of a prerelease from the album, and a collab with anitta!! definitely need to see a reaction for that 🙏🙏
