I think this song is specifically about all the hate they got for Sneakers. In Yuna's shots when she slows down and looks worried is when she is looking around at her images from Sneakers. I think she in particular got the most hate during Sneakers and is worried about her how other people see her, seeing as her images are plastered evreywhere on the trian for the public to see.

I know very little about ITZY, have only heard a song or two, but I loved this song and video. There is something about it that is just so simple and charming, but the MV itself feels quite relatable, and the lyrics are deep. Excited to see more of this from them.

Made me CRY as a long time midzy I just got so emotional, the song is so encouraging + MV was beautiful but just the way they sang it so emotional I was so PROUD this song proves why I bet on itzy and their capabilities

What I took from the MV was that Yeji bc she’s the leader, isn’t allowed to slow down like burdened to take that mantle where she cant allow herself to stop, like she goes through stuff even off the edge of a cliff but she has to be the one to keep pushing bc she has that responsibility towards the team

Also, not sure if you noticed or not, but Lia has herself in a box. It is only when she opens it that she joins the others in the run. I also saw someone mention (which I can't confirm, so take it with grain of salt) that Lia engages in shopping therapy when she's down - the more packages come to the dorm, the worse you know her mood to be. That would make the boxes in her attic rather relevant part of the video. I completely agree with you on Yeji. She has talked before how hard it was for her at to be a leader; once she exploded in tears, and the members told her she doesn't have to do everything by herself, and bear all the responsibility alone. It became better after that.

The thematic approach to this video is so mature, as you noticed, when the gang were cheering yuna up in the train, she did slow down because only they themselves can fully realize what they go through, but yeji as itzy represents how they can support each other by being patient and constant. Yuna's set had the biggest impact to me, the pictures on the walls are previous comebacks and as she is the last one to join them, the mv is screaming at how each comeback floods them with whatever reactions and images the public has of them.

Yeah I think their vocal tones are a bit too high to pull it off unfortunately. This song would've sounded amazing for a group with lower tones.
