Update, because I always forget something 7ILLIN & FILL IT UP will be added to the schedule for the 25th. My bad. I am doing it now.

I also forgot to explain the DRAMA CLUB & ANIME CLUB HIATUS.

I'm going to take a hiatus from Demon Slayer & Spy x Family for ANIME CLUB, and same for LAWLESS LAWYER. Blaire will be back in about 2 months and I personally do not want to film these at all without her.

We will finish Demon Slayer in one go when Blaire returns, and SPY X FAMILY will resume then as well.

In the mean time I will be soloing new shows and will be taking suggestions for ANIME CLUB in this post.

Same for LAWLESS LAWYER. (I would prefer the drama replacing this be 16 episodes or less with episodes clocked at approx an hour. I am planning to binge this all within two months while Blaire is away so that we finish and jump right back into LAWLESS LAWYER).

For drama club either the glory or extraordinary attorney woo

tamkan

for anime: 1. KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World (I will forever suggest this anime to everyone. it's so great and humorous) 2. Haikyuu (my all time favs) 3. 86 (amazing story I have rewatched it so many times!!!!) 4. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (this is also very hilarious and it has made me go read the actual novel after the first season)

For drama, if you want something dark and deals with the topic of school bullies, violence or revenge, I suggest The Glory, Weak Hero Class 1 (Park Ji Hoon of Wanna One is in this drama) or Revenge of Others (Su Hyeok from All of Us are Dead is here). Move to Heaven (10 eps, on Netflix) is also quite good if u want something emotional and heartfelt. If you want something light and funny but still good, Love to Hate You is also a good choice (10 eps, on Netflix). Rowoon's Tomorrow is also good (16 eps, also on Netflix). The main theme of this drama is about suicide, so it can be quite heavy and emotional. But I learn a lot from this drama, it's really amazing.

It's a drama from a few years ago, but if you haven't seen Reply 1997, I recommend it! It's a really fun and touching show. And it's the most famous show of PD Shin Won-ho from Prison Playbook.

juls

Hi PD i was wondering have you watched Key’s Killer MV yet? I remember reading a comment way back, you replied to someone saying that you were gonna react to it!

Mabel Lee

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun! Really light and fun romcom, though it's more comedy than romance. Short and sweet, and the character interactions are all super fun. The main trope is that the characters are shoujo manga stereotypes but gender switched!

For anime as much as I would love you to check out Fruits Basket (2019) or Kaguya-sama: Love is War, I think it might be better to wait for Blaire for those as I think she’d enjoy them as well and I’d love to also see her reactions. I also agree with branching outside of shounen to other demographics. I want to suggest Carole & Tuesday (based on music, has lgbt themes), Kids on the slope (a shorter anime, only 12 eps. Also about music and coming of age). If you want something different there’s also The Promised Neverland (one season 1 though. S2 is in the running for the worst anime adaptation ever. S1 is 12 eps, a thriller and ends in a way that you don’t actually need S2).

I don’t know if you be ready to watch a more emotional anime but i feel like watching VIOLET EVERGARDEN would be so good because not only does it dissect human emotions but also has such a great screenplay and it’s made my KyoAni that always creates the most breathtaking anime. Violet Evergarden is about a young woman Violet who was trained as a child soldier for the war but ever since it is over and she lost both her purpose and someone dear to her, she is know trying to find what she lives for and also what love is while working as an auto memory doll (people who write letters for others) and it has an overarching main plot but each episode has its own finished story, so it really works even if you have to take a break in between which means it is basically a short stories collection with the narrator going through their own emotional character development. It is available on Netflix (i think in Korea as well since AKMU‘s Suhyun was talking about it recently) Here is a trailer if you like: https://youtu.be/_grmduuECm4 (it is based of a light novel)

If you wanna know how sad it is: there is an video essay with an ex-soldier who talked about how much it hit him and reminded him of his time in the army, also everyone who watches it cries (especially at episode 10)

For Anime “Gangsta” This one is sexy and thrilling!!

Idkmybffki

For Dramas my suggestions would be - Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Tomorrow, Mystic Pop-up Bar I really want to suggest the Glory or Alchemy of Souls because I've been wanting to re-watch these with ya'll. But idk, I think Blaire would really love these too, so maybe wait.

Amanda Araujo

for drama club i recommend Extraordinary You, Tomorrow, Extracurricular, The Glory and Move to Heaven and for anime club i recommend Tokyo Revengers and Blue Lock

Sami Casingal

For drama, I suggest Extraordinary You. Rowoon from the kpop boy group SF9 is on of the main characters. Also, people may have mentioned this before, but are you going to continue reacting to HxH? If so, It might be better to continue it yourself since there are so many seasons.

Layman's Outlook

Extracurricular hits Hard and is only 10 episodes.

Tesa

Weak Hero Class 1 would be amazing because I was too scared to finish it by myself lol Watching it here would be much more fun :D

Aurayaya

I'd like to suggest Weak Hero Class 1 aswell. For a drama with 8 episodes it has great pacing imo! Now that I think about it it's my nr. 1 suggestion rn, I'd love a reaction to it!!

Priscilla Amador

I highly recommend The Glory. I'm interested to see how u react to this thriller drama. Also it's so good. Also Tomorrow is a really good watch as well.

Maimona Mendy

For a drama I would recommend Taxi Driver (16 eps), it's both funny, action-filled and emotional. The cast is great and I found it to be a great watch. Just an FYI, it makes more sense to watch it 2 episodes a time storyline wise, but that is of course up to you if you choose to watch it.

for anime club i would like to recommend parasyte and To Your Eternity

Shancii

For drama, i recommend Uncanny Counter. It's from Studio Dragon and Kim Sejeong is one of the leads.

Mvtiny8

revenge of others or the glory

Mac

If you want suggestions for a drama to watch on your own while Lawless Lawyer is on hiatus: Law School (16 eps; starring two of the actors from Starship Game Caterers), Extraordinary Attorney Woo (16 eps), Ghost Doctor (16 eps; Studio Dragon show; starring Rain, Kim Bum from Starship Game Caterers and Na-eun from Apink), or Reborn Rich (16 eps, starring Song Joong-Ki from Vincenzo)

Mac

I'm not sure if you also have an episode limit for anime club suggestions? If not, some recommendations: Mob Psycho 100, Kuroko's Basketball, Food Wars.

Soffpotatis

Regarding suggestion for a new anime while Spy × Family is on hiatus I would propose releasing more episodes of HxH or AoT instead and wait with adding a new anime until spy x family is completed before adding another. Otherwise I would recommend a shorter anime for example Sakamichi no Apollon (12ep), Chainsaw man (12ep atm), Zankyou no Terror (11ep) or Given (11ep)

Gnomeo

I just mentioned this in a comment on the schedule post, so sorry for repeating, but if you have time in the future Arcane is an amazing show, and only 9 Episodes, but ig its an animated show and not an anime, although i tend to lump it in with anime.

Jericho

Ranking of King or Haikyuu would be great anime to watch

Q

Drama: Tomorrow, Extracurricular, Glory, Beloved Summer Anime: Haikyuu

Bree

for Drama I highly suggest “Our Beloved Summer”.. It’s a feel good drama and has been a comfort series for me. In my opinion the story was well written and the cinematography is good. It’s a Love story Slice of life quirky drama but it was well balanced in my opinion. For Anime, as many suggests.. you can’t go wrong with Haikyuu. It’s a sports anime so if you’re not much into sports it can be intimidating to start. But it’s an inspiring anime and surely is one of the best sports anime out there.

Petra Kamali

The Glory gets a recommendation from me as a drama to check out at some point. It's about a school violence victim conconting a plan to get revenge on her perpretrators and getting back at them 18 years later. Obviously dark themes in it, but it all pays off as it was all in all an extremely satisying show and almost a cathartic experience in a way?

beannieswife

For a kdrama suggestion: “weak hero” and I just realized that you’ve never watched GOBLIN OMFG, please watch it! (doesn’t matter if u react to it) Is so good🏃 For anime suggestions🏃🏃🏃🏃: - mob psycho (it’s a little long [37 eps] but the show is done so u don’t have to wait for more seasons! And it’s such a heartwarming story. Keywords: introspection, growing up, inner child, emotions, healing, reality, acceptance) - haikyuu!! (HELLA LONG AND THE SHOW IS NOT DONE YET💀 but sooo healing and worth it! Based on volleyball soo don’t expect a big complex plot but that is what makes it healing<3. Keywords: enthusiasm, dreams, overcoming, bonds, healthy rivalry, obsession [in a good way], so queer but no one dares to say it LMAO) - banana fish (24 eps, this is a good anime to dive in knowing absolutely nothing about it! But you do have to know some trigger warnings because is a little heavy :(. TW: r4pe, abuse, su!cide thoughts, bl00d. Idk if I missed one but these came to mind, there’s also canon queer characters! Keywords: tragedy, fate, crime, love, war) - yuri on ice (another sports anime! [12 eps] One of the bests too, this one is ice skating themed, is healing too but a little more directed in platonic love with gay/queer characters <3 keywords: obsession, overcoming, beauty, inspiration, love, platonic, bond, admiration) I have more suggestions but it’ll get long so I’ll stop hereㅠㅠ

daniel

hopefully im not to late, i think for an anime "kakegurui" is the best option. its extremely popular, very iconic, and so different and thrilling from anything you've reacted to. it may seem like just another anime about gambling, but it is fun, dark and exhilarating. i genuinely believe it is REALLY your cup of tea based on ur reviews on drama club and anime club.

Natasha Gillespie

I’d recommend 구미호뎐 it’s 16 episodes long and has Lee dong-wook from strangers from hell in it and is about to come out with a second series
