APRIL SCHEDULE (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone, welcome to the April Schedule! It's your favorite reactor JAEHYUK PD and we've got a lot to cover.
In the month of April we are rolling out our new plan to take FORM OF THERAPY into a reaction empire. We will work on "pretty schedules" and branding LATER when I am AHEAD on content.
For details on our changes refer to this post and watch our detailed video.
*EDIT: I also made a personal TikTok because Patreon deleted by Patreon account I created for personal updates D: I've been trying to recover it but having issues. Instead I made a personal TikTok for anyone who wants to follow my personal life @imjaehyukpd
Disclaimer: We are only posting a week later this month because I have to move AirBnBs and I'm alone and moving like 10 suitcases worth of stuff on foot and don't know my Internet situation yet T_T
We will be posting all 4 weeks, EVERY TUESDAY starting May. Like seriously, even if it's only one or two videos, every Tuesday, no matter what.
Yes, these videos will all drop as SEPARATE posts so I encourage you all to TURN OFF YOUR NOTIFICATIONS both for the app or e-mail. Going forward you can trust that all content will release only on Tuesdays at 00:00 UTC.
I am consolidating all to one day, and once I get ahead, I want free time for other things like my own productions + live-streaming.
Quarter of WEEK 1 is already filmed. I will have no issues getting the rest done by release time.
Disclaimer 2: DRAMA & ANIME CLUB temporary show hiatus//replacing with new shows.
I'm going to take a hiatus from Demon Slayer & Spy x Family for ANIME CLUB, and same for LAWLESS LAWYER. Blaire will be back in about 2 months and I personally do not want to film these at all without her.
We will finish Demon Slayer in one go when Blaire returns and keep ATOT going, and SPY X FAMILY will resume then as well.
In the mean time I will be soloing new shows and will be taking suggestions for ANIME CLUB in this post.
Same for LAWLESS LAWYER. (I would prefer the drama replacing this be 16 episodes or less with episodes clocked at approx an hour. I am planning to binge this all within two months while Blaire is away so that we finish and jump right back into LAWLESS LAWYER).
One potential change: (testing in April)
This is roughly the same amount of videos released every month but we will reducing Variety content going forward to two RELEASES (not episode count) per month (two releases, so if it's a continuation, we will release like EP 30 + 31, EP 32 + 33). The reason for this is purely time.
I know that this change might be reason enough for people to leave our Patreon as some people might be here for only one or two shows. So please take a look at the schedule and decide for yourself: Is this content "worth" $10/$20 to you? If it's a no, then I understand. No need to apologize. Don't ever apologize. It's your money!
But something to keep in mind: While some may be here only for one or two groups, I'm still the person in front of the camera that has to film for 5,000+ viewers. And I do not have 5,000 people watching any "one show", everything is split across hundreds, so unfortunately I cannot increase the amount for one artist or I have to do it for every artist. Which is physically impossible for me.
However, going forward (this only applies to groups that have ongoing shows): When an artist has a "comeback" I will go a little "harder" and sometimes pause their variety series to make room for their comeback shows.
For example: I paused RUN BTS this month but put a lot more JIMIN content this month. Next month I'll pause GOSE, but do a ton of their promotional material and any other "long requested" reactions related to SEVENTEEN. RUN BTS will resume in May while GOSE pauses. Make sense?
For now think of the Variety content like this:
2 releases (double episodes included) of an idol ongoing series (GOSE, TO DO TXT, etc) + 1 bonus drop variety MINIMUM (MMTG, 4cutlive etc)
I have to reduce at least one week of variety shows in order to check out the OTHER fun YT variety stuff. Does that make sense?
In exchange, once in a while, I'd like to do a long variety guest feature too.
For example: We pause TO DO TXT, but instead we do a long episode like KNOWING BROS or WEEKLY IDOL, etc. and a few bonus drops. Does that make sense?
I'm sure you guys want to see reactions to all the other appearance and not just ONE series. In a perfect world we can watch everything! But it's physically not possible for us to have it both ways. Sorry :(
I'll still post more but it won't be guaranteed anymore:
For example, there's only two weeks of TO DO TXT variety, but I'd like to do TXT bonus drops from Sugar Rush Ride. I just don't know if I'll have time or when I'll even film it/have time. And so if I don't put them out this month, they will become "guaranteed" bonus drops for May.
This way I'm not tired the hell out, but also you can save money and pause your patronage and just come back the month after. And even if I DO wind up posting those bonus drops--they'll still be up anyway next month. I'm also going to be posting a "bonus drops you may have missed last month...." post starting next month which is a compilation of any "unplanned videos" that I wound up posting.
Another example: I just found out about JISOO. Oh come on you KNOW I'm gonna do that Jason bonus drops this month but, I don't want the pressure/I cannot guarantee a date. It'll be out when it's out. If it's not, it'll definitely be on the schedule for next month.
So just ask yourself: Is the guaranteed schedule worth it?
I will no longer overwork myself out of fear of losing a ton of Patrons. I will deal with everything as they come and go.
I love and trust you all. I always saw Patrons leaving as "no longer liking me and they will never come back" but I trust you all. Being honest about who I am and what I want has been truly freeing.
I've talked to a lot of reactors and a lot of their dreams and goals are outside of reacting. They all hope to quit one day or just treat like a hobby.
I think I might be the only reactor on the planet who does this forever. I'm no longer embarrassed to admit that I've always wanted to be an idol and to me, inspiring others or giving people a place of comfort with my reactions, is as close to living like one as possible.
I only want to do bigger and crazier projects--just so I can be filthy rich so I can make reactions permanently free.
That's my 10 year plan:
I want everything I react to on Patreon to eventually become free on YouTube (obviously not super copyright restricted stuff like survival shows, tv broadcast, etc.) and Patreon to cost only $2 ~ $5 for upkeep.
So for now, I'll be working hard to get to that point someday but I've been thinking about making reactions free for years. But only now have I figured out how to take the first steps toward that path.
You all have your own lives to live and perhaps $10/$20 is just not possible this or that month. I understand, do not feel sorry or guilty. I'll survive. I've been through hell and back so I'll stop living in fear and have faith in my own abilities to survive.
It's OK if you leave this month, next month, or whatever month.
I know you'll be back. Who the tf else are you gonna go to ;) ?
