I'm glad you enjoyed the episode!! The Blue Hour performance was one of my favorites. Not that they don't all do good, but like you said, their energy and brightness just shined so much on stage. I enjoyed how it made me feel. This is also where I first started to pay attention to EJ and Harua. EJ was down after the interim check but said he wasn't going to bring the team down with him and instead wanted to learn to enjoy the stage as Soma suggested and lead the team well, and I feel like he really did. They all did really great 😊

I love how PD said Nicholas runs the practice room like a frat house without remembering the song concept after the whole aegyo fiasco with the blue hour team lol. I also found it really interesting what you said about Euijoo, because I always got that impression of him too before &team. (rant incoming) Honestly, I think another reason why K stands out so much in &audition is that he's the only one who genuinely seems passionate in every aspect of the ideal idol on paper. While he is super invested in dancing, it's easy to see his appeal with stage presence, charisma, and stable/clear vocals. Like it's easy to point out which trainees lean heavier towards dance and not much on anything else for example. I was really suprised when Euijoo was announced as the leader of &team since it was unexpected amoung fans' speculations, but taking a step back, I can see why. He's expressed that he's a very introverted and shy person, but that also makes him soft hearted and a good listener for the other members. He has his own defined role in &team and I feel like that helps stabilize him and his purpose as an idol. To me, if he were to debut in any other group, I wonder if it'd be difficult for him to really find his place. Scent of You was when I could really feel his confidence reflected in his performance.

Leadership wise, that was something I could feel since this ep for the same reasons you mentioned. But performance wise I agree. I feel like here is when he first started to show more confidence and drive and then that grew with each stage. Their collab performance with Enha for example, even though he didn't have many parts, you could feel his confidence. And of course his tiktoks 😆

Haruka

Fuma was a backdancer for BTS on one of their tours, so it makes sense to me that he knows Korean well and is comfortable talking in Korean when half of his group members are Korean :D

ema

pretty sure fuma did train in korea, he was a back up dancer for bts for awhile so i guess it would make sense if he naturally speaks korean sometimes

umi

when you said you were excited for taki's team I was like yes this is literally the reason I hoped you'd watch &a also fuma said in an interview that he worked as a backup dancer in korea for about 2 and a half years which is probably why he uses korean so much

Regarding how they chose the leader, this video might be helpful for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6bE0EtLM8g

Yes, I’ve seen the video!! &team have mentioned stuff about Euijoo’s leader qualities before in other content as well which is why I mentioned him being a good listener and such

formoftherapy

Ooookay. THAT explains a lot. He wasn’t just good at Korean, he spoke like he’s lived in Korea for more than a year!

I found out Fuma was a trainee under n.CH Entertainment (group Nature comes from there. It was created by one former CEO of SM's sub diary). And as I see, people are mentioning he used to be a back up dancer for BTS

Harua reminds me so much of Im Si Wan. They just both have that soft boi vibe but can totally transform when they want

To be honest Blue Hour solidfied my vote for Fuma when the time had come for single votes.
