I actually couldn't disagree with you more PD :p For most Teume it felt like they were showing everyone watching MAMA that they are still TREASURE eventhough they are now with 10 people. Their concerts and their award show performances really cemented that for me. tbh I was worried I would miss MashiDam so much that I couldn't watch Treasure's content or listen to their songs anymore. That didn't happen because Treasure OT10 has worked so hard to show us that they are still the same group we fell in love with. The Japan tour really helped a lot of Teume to overcome their worries and sadness I think (TWorldMap also really helped :p)

Thank you again for this PD, really can't wait for the other award show reaction. Fun fact, LSRF was supposed to have snow in their performance but they cancel it cause it was slippery and they didn't want it to hinder their performance. PD needs to check out LSRF dance practice to realize how little MAMA shows the dance break and more of the stage lol. I really think LSRF has that 'BTS award show vibe' when they performing also in MMA and MAMA they look more like a mega crew mission than just an idol performance. The mega crew is the mission in SWF and SMF where the dance crew brought a bunch of dancers and create a dance performance with dozens of dancers. I think so since LSRF dance is not like regular idol performances and how they utilize their dancers too. The girl group collab is honestly underwhelmed for me since MAMA hyped the collab so much and people expect more than just a dance relay, but can we just talk about how Kazuha really suits Mina's part in Cheer Up and Chaewon really suits Hype Boy. My favorite in MAMA this year is Treasure and Jhope, I feel really hyped and immersed in their performance and Treasure did something that I hope would happen in whoever performance, which is going to the artist zone.

with treasure's performance i think also theyre doing award shows in between their concert tour too. they literally had 2 days to practice for MaMa. although i can sense definitely a hole somewhere.

Treasure is in the middle of their tour that time, they rehearsed it for two days only and to think that in their Japan tour they are doing 2 shows per day. Still, they are the best for me, atleast they sing live, hyped the crowd and not just stick to dance to their choreo.

treasure are in the middle of their tour & their schedule is crazy rn (yg never know a thing called balance huh?) so i can see where sometimes they seem a bit off or their energy drains in parts of their performances, but mad respect to them for still managing to hype up the crowd despite it all. they're one of the only artists who are actually interacting with the crowd and not just sticking to dancing on stage,

Just so you know, there was viral clip of SKZ going around for this MAMA performance because of how tired they were at the end waiting for ending fairy to end. You could tell how exhausted they were and I.N was literally going to collapse but withheld it until the end. Luckily Bang Chan noticed he wasn’t okay then caught him right then. Hyunjin & Lee Know wasn’t looking so great either at the end. As much as love SKZ’s hard work and performances this year, they truly deserve a break after their tour. They came out with ODDINARY earlier this year and announced their tour, THEN had another comeback, (MAXIDENT) CASE 143, to promote while in the middle of tour and preparing for these award shows. They’re so overworked, I hope they deserve the rest they need after all of this. Same goes to ITZY too.

I know what you mean when you were like ‘wait was Oddinary this year!’ So many songs and they just released their digital album SKZ-Replay with a large number of their skz record and skz player tracks from their YouTube channel plus 8 new solo songs! (I highly recommend the solo songs like wow!) no doubt they’ll post another vid about their plan for 2023 just like they did at the beginning of this year.

Rather than being off, I feel like some treasure members were so nervous so they're trying not to commit any mistake since they only had 2 days of practice while in the middle of an extremely hectic tour schedule. This was also their first award show with audience and all so yeah, I don't think it's bcos of the departure since they've been performing as 10 since June this year.

Shoutout to Stray Kids and Treasure for being the only groups to sing/rap live!!! (honourable mention goes to Yeonjun's Lonely Boy) Every group had a super cool performance and did very well, but those live vocals and extra effort really go a long way for me! The way Treasure's rap line was able to hype up the crowd was insane! Some of the other members just looked a bit tired, but nothing felt super off to me. Also, idk about anyone else, but I think the camera work here was mostly horrible!!! Cutting away to wide shots at important points of the choreo (i.e SKZ) or showing a member when it's not their part (i.e NMIXX). The entire NMIXX performance was such a disappointment camera-wise. And IVE ofc was also super weird.. :(

Definitely excited for you to see the TXT dance practice, there were so many things that the camera missed (also just an fyi the MAMA dance practice only includes Lonely Boy, GBGB and the dance breaks - you mentioned wanting to see the choreography for Opening Sequence in full so maybe you could check out the official dance practice for it at the same time because it’s one of my fav choreography’s from them!)

they really made it feel like the audience was part of the performance. they’re one of the few groups where you can see the crowd actually super hyped up, and the fact that they gained so much attention (& new fans) after this performance is a perfect testament to just how much of a good time it must have been

Treasure is on their JAPAN tour during this MAMA awards. If i'm not mistaken during this time they have to go back and forth Korea and Japan. And they only have 2 days to practice for this. We cannot deny that the departure has some effect but more than that they are tired as well. Junghwan has to take exam when they went back Korea and then went to airport after to go to Japan. And ohh i remember in between the Japan tour and MAMA they fly to Indonesia for a show as well.

Stray Kids were the closing act for the first day of MAMA and I'm just so incredibly proud of them. In the fancams, you could see several of the members immediately collapse on the stage after the performance. They worked so hard for it.

I love how they zoomed into Han giving Soyeon a thumbs up after her diss to MAMA. Since the two have now separately dissed MAMA, I'm going to need them to come together and make a diss track talking shit.

Lee Jung was a leader of YGX female dance crew, which participated in Street Woman Fughter. Guys who performed with her also participated in Street Man Fighter. Both shows are competitions between dance crews, I highly recommend both of them. People on those shows literally sometimes have no filter ahahhaha

jo1's performance was SO good. ive never listened to them or watched any of their content so i didnt know what to expect, but it was one of my fav mama performances,, i think you should check it out!

The BIBI and Hyolyn Collaboration was nice and you missed all the other stuff BIBI did (the album and for each song an MV and they are like movies 😅👌) maybe some day 😁

I feel you about Karas performance making you emotional. Something about groups coming back together after a long time and what most would've called disbandbment gets me emotional. Also they have a lot of fun together. Youngji even got her wish fulfilled of them going to the airport while holding hands as a group which resulted in a massive smile. They also had a lot of fun on Knowing Bros. Also they never miss to include Hara in their group pictures and even in the MV if you look. Lee Jung is a famous choreographer for a lot of K-Pop dances and leader of the dance groups YGX even though she is still very young. She got a lot more focus through Street Women Fighter. And the one thing with that first performance that annoyed me a little was that some songs (it was the 20 nominees of the fan voted category) got some time while at the end multiple songs were only "mentioned" in the bottom right. At least the songs that were performed could've been a little less prominent and all the other songs getting some more time

The singer at the end of gidle's stage that you didnt know is from the band Jaurim, Miyeon and Minnie had a collab stage with them earlier but I think you skipped it. Would be cool if you check it out individually

God the camerawork during MAMA this year annoyed me so much. It's great you have a huge crowd, mnet, but trust me when I say you we don't need to see wide shots every other minute

I agree with you about treasure! Still one of my favourite performances from MAMA, and they were clearly giving it their all, but something was a little off. I assume they’re exhausted physically too with all the travel between Japan and Korea considering their tour, but they clearly must be mentally exhausted too, and I can’t blame them. Loosing 2 members is difficult, and performing your biggest hit without them at the biggest award show must be a strange feeling. Despite all of that their performance was one of the best for me, which just goes to show how good they are generally I guess.

treasure left a big impression with this perf,non fans even bought tickets to their concert after watching them and were amazed by their live singing and stage presence abilities calling MAMA their concert lol...but yeah they only had 2 days to practice this in the middle of their Japan tour ,they didnt even have backup dancers cuz there were no time to match with the....they have a very hectic schedule going back and forth between japan and korea and performing 2 concerts per day must be exhausting..also this is their first award show without yedam and mashi:(

Thank you for reacting to this!! Please check our le sserafim’s MAMA dance practice. MAMA kept zooming out at so many amazing parts, but with the dance practice you can actually see how great the choreo is and how much the girls killed it!

Thank you for checking out KARA's performance! I was afraid you'd skip it because there might not be too many older generation Kpop fans among your patrons. This stage makes me tear up every time, they are my OG favorite girl group. And I really hope you'll check out their comeback and maybe their Killing Voice video too! They released a full-length album for this comeback, but I won't even dare to hope for a listening party haha. Also, please check out the comeback stage for TXT's Opening Sequence sometime! I saw that you were very impressed with the choreo, but the full version is even better and it has center Taehyun that you've been talking about for a long time!

About TXT: Soobin was supposed to be blindfolded too, but he couldn't tie the blindfold, so he put it in his mouth last second. Talk about reflexes 😂 I would love you to check their dance practice for this performance because the camerawork really butchered their choreography. It's still amazing to me how hard they worked for this. They were in LA filming for 'New Year's Rockin' Eve', so their dancers had to fly there to learn the choreo with them because they had no time. And when the members were back in Korea they used 3 days that were supposed to be free to rehearse this and their MMA choreo!

I'll never get over this Stray Kids performance!! Literally the SICKEST performance EVER in all of my 10 plus years watching kpop! Changbin gives me chills everytime his part in Venom comes up. Hyunjin was freaking INSANE as the spider throughout this whole performance!! Hearing all their live vocals so clearly on such a huge stage is unreal. The spider on top is so freaking cool! By far my fav performance of the year!
