Something that I forgot to mention in our previous post is the possibility of ANIME CLUB.

This is an idea we've been toying with for a while because I notoriously NEVER watch anime and I recently watched a little My Hero and gotta admit, kinda loved it. I watch so little anime that I think I can name all the anime I've watched, in full, on one hand.

I don't hate anime, mind you. But I've generally not had time the past 10 years and stuck to reading manga because I can usually finish that a lot quicker. But the last time I was a religious anime watcher was the Bounto arc in BLEACH so it turned me off it. Like a lot. And I think anyone who watched that season will understand.

But our idea with anime club is to perhaps add it to our Autumn tier. If we added it to our current summer tier, well, it would just cause the same problems we're encountering now. My hope is that perhaps if we introduce Anime Club to the Autumn tier, perhaps enough people will move over to cover the costs of our bandwidth issues and we won't have to raise prices at all!

We will be sampling out Anime club this month, Anime club will be available for SUMMER tier Patrons for this month. If we decide to continue Anime Club it will be moved to the Autumn tier!

In the mean time, we'll take suggestions for anime! I somehow both know A LOT about anime and also nothing at the same time. So here's a list of anime I've completed and anime I'm aware is "hot" at the moment.

ANIME I'VE FINISHED

  • Kill La Kill
  • FMA: Brotherhood
  • Elfen Lied (I regret everything about this one)
  • Love Hina
  • Gurren Lagann

ANIME PEOPLE WON'T STOP TALKING ABOUT BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN IT

  • HUNTER X HUNTER
  • Jujutsu Kaisen? (idk if I spelled this right)
  • One Punch Man
  • Demon Slayer
  • One Piece
  • Black Clover
  • Soul Eater
  • Kakeguri
  • Haikyu
  • Not a show but technically it's anime: All Studio Ghibli

ANIME I WATCHED THEN STOPPED

  • Ore Monogatari!!
  • Naruto
  • BLEACH
  • Eyeshield 21
  • Promised Neverland
  • Future Diary
  • Attack on Titan (half or all of Season 1)

I SAW A TRAILER ONCE

  • SPY X FAMILY
  • FIRE FORCE

Feel free to leave your suggestions! I'm also open to rewatching stuff I've finished because it's been a while :)

neon genesis evangelion is what i consider to be the best anime and one of the best tv shows ever made! i absolutely recommend it!

Anne

One piece has a lot of episode but it’s good. However, if you want the short one Haikyuu and One Punch Man is the best.

Yolonda Hughes

Ooo check out Assassination Classroom! That one took me by surprise. Like at the beginning I thought it was so ridiculous but by the end I was sobbing and I never cry over anime or TV shows.

mist

attack on titan is airing its final eps rn so that might be a good option, hxh is really good & one punch man is also great

arianna guzman

You should watch erased! It’s on Netflix! It’s not very long and it touches certain topics that are important! It’s not much of a comedy by it is so entertaining!

Napes

Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon slayer are a must to watch, masterpiece both of them

Moonown

Not Autumn tier but, Code Geass is an all time anime. Super brainy stuff

Kevin Cervera

You should totally watch Tokyo Ghoul, Parasite, Blue Exorcist, Sword Art Online and The time I got reincarnated as a slime. These are really good and hopefully you'll get to watch them some day. This is so exciting!

Anonymous

I agree erased is super amazing the live action is just as good too

formoftherapy

I have no idea what this series is about but all I know is there's a weird yellow guy and he may have tentacles

Thilde

This would be awesome! A little sad you've already seen Brotherhood tho, because as soon as I saw the title it was 100% gonna be the first thing I recommended haha

beannieswife

OMFG PD, THIS IS LIKE MY 2 WORLDS COLLIDING, lol I totally recommend you to watch hunter x hunter or jujutsu kaisen, I feel like you would love it!, and for a different genre, I recommend you fruits basket or lovely complex!, for lgbtq+ animes, I recommend you given!, not the movie tho :/, but the anime is really good

formoftherapy

I don't understand the watching order for Neon Genesis because it seems SUPER confusing.

mistywolf the dragon rider

Haha well that's my bleach recommendation out the window! I still highly recommend Inuyasha, Blue Exorcist and Noragami, especially Noragami cause it has some of the best opening osts I have heard in an anime and I just love the animation

Anonymous

A thousand times yes! I NEED to see you react to Naruto (Canon only ofc)

M.C.

I'm so down for anime club!!! If you started watching Hunter X Hunter I'd have to sign up for autumn tier. It's my all-time favorite anime given I haven't watched as much as other people or recently. Mob Psycho 100 is also great and the last season has been announced.

Merlin

Will the schedule be out before the new month, just wondering if the ones who are unsure should end the subscription now and wait for the schedule to be posted later in the week, to see what’s coming

Lex

CODE GEASS!!!! ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM!!!!!

Claire

Ao no exorcist. I also enjoyed kimi ni todoke but idk if that's your kind of thing 😊

Marcel Wannieck

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a must. I just watched it on Netflix recently and let me tell you, I was not prepared. This show is insane.

formoftherapy

OH! I've seen Netflix ads for the live action then! I didn't know it was based on an anime

Anonymous

You should totally continue attack on titan, it’s been AMAZING. As well as jujutsu kaisen and demon slayer i know you’re gonna love!

Anonymous

Oh snap this would be super exciting. I can say that your list on "Anime People Won't Stop Talking About" is a VERY Full plate lol but all are very solid choices. I recently started getting into the manga, and I can say that it is amazing knowing what is gonna happen in the anime, but the visual representation just can't be matched sometimes. I would be down to join you on this venture. One Piece is the most recent anime that I decided to catch up on and it is my favorite w/ Demon Slayer coming in second so far lol Lemme know if you'd like any more input. I could go on forever lol

Anonymous

Hunter x Hunter is really a masterpiece!!! Something that is not an anime but that is perfect is Arcane, really something to watch!!

Shayla Lackey

Watch Fruits basket. It’ll have you in your feels but there is so many life lessons in it. It made me feel grateful for what I have and those around me.

jamwam

i HIGHLY reccomend demon slayer, it has some of the most beautiful animation i've ever seen in anime. it's a wonderful emotional thrilling story and i couldnt reccomend anything more

btob bleb

You HAVE to watch Haikyuu! A lot of people doubt it at first because 1. it’s a sports anime and 2. you wouldn’t think one about volleyball would be really good. But they end up loving it so much. It’s funny, action-packed, and even heartwarming, it would be great if you watched it.

Anonymous

Great idea!! I would definitely recommend attack on titan!!

lindvre

You could also do a watchalong for the anime film "A silence voice" ! I'd love to see your reaction

Kiwi Space

Blue Exorcist is my top pick! Classic: Oran High School Host Club Vampire Knight Special A Black Blutler (highly recommend)

Anonymous

I recommend Assassination Classroom, Fairy Tail, Kuroko no Basket, and Reborn

Wanda Melendez

I also haven’t watched a lot of Anime but the three I have watched and like a lot are: Demon Slayer (storyline and animation so good!) Attack on Titan (storyline/twists are watch captivated me + it right now on final season) Banana Fish (deep and emotional journey but so good)

jamwam

plus its not very long !! i havent watched anime of the new episodes but the first season is only about 20 episodes long, super fun to binge

formoftherapy

I have heard bad things about SAO. It seems that everyone who loves SAO only loves the first season and then hates everything else after. And also thanks for the slime suggestion because I remember seeing a random trailer for that once but forgot about it!

Victoria

Attack On Titan (I definitely think you should give it a second chance! The last episodes of the series are airing rn so its completely done in a few weeks!), Demon Slayer, Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note and Jujutsu Kaisen!

Winter

If you want a fantasy like anime, I suggest Fairytail! It’s really good!

Amanda Bernström

I really like re-main, I watched it because I knew Enhypen did the OST for it hehe

Thilde

"A Place Further than the Universe" or "Sora yori mo Tooi Basho" is my favorite anime of all time. Definitely one I recommend highly. I don't expect many others to bring it up, but its absolutely amazing and did get a lot of deserved praise when it was airing a couple of years ago. If you want an experience that can be genuinely life changing (it was for me anyway) its a nice place to start ^^

Yolonda Hughes

Yes it is about a weird yellow guy with tentacles lol. But the weirdness catches you off guard so you end up surprised at how emotional it makes you later on.

Aegiey

Haikyuu please! There's also several idol anime but those can be harder to stomach sometimes... I'd suggest Detective Conan but idk if that's your cup of tea

Anonymous

Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer are what i am currently watching and I love them a lot from an animation and action perspective. Haikyuu is my go too feel good anime. Given is one of my favorites and its LGBT friendly. It features a male/male romance without most of the toxic stereotypes and it is a great music anime. I am not sure if I can afford to upgrade to an autumn tier right now, it would depend on how active you post anime reactions, but I would definitely be interested in watching in the future!

Anonymous

Banana fish is a rollercoaster of emotions but such a top tier anime imo

Gabby

Rurouni Kenshin!!! The anime from the 90s is really good but id only watch seasons 1 and 2 cuz season 3 is really just filler before they canceled it i think. It was on netflix years ago but idk if its still there i havent checked. There are LOADS of live action adaptations and specials/movies but i havent seen any ive only read the manga and watched the anime years after. The manga is really good too if you ever wanna read it!

Calida

Jujutsu Kaiden is literally a must! The hype about it is very much deserved. (I prefer subbed version but it’s what you’re comfortable with.)

formoftherapy

Oh! So I watched a Silent Voice and I really didn't like it (at the time). I read the original one shot it was based on and I didn't like it changing the main character from the girl to the guy. I thought it ruined the original twist of the one shot. Maybe rewatching it I'll have a different opinion...

Catrin

Interesting.... I'd love to see you react to some Ghibli. I watched all of the Ghibli films over lockdown with my flatmate, I really enjoyed the experience!

sadie peltz

I just finished Fruits Basket and I loved it! It’s a drama/comedy/romance that id really recommend, it has its serious moments while still being hilarious. I know it’s not like a lot of your recommendations, though.

Anonymous

i would say fairy tail but i’m not sure if you could since the anime is long

formoftherapy

Is there a new one? I feel like I've been hearing about Fruits Basket my entire life but I saw it on a streaming site recently saying it was 2019?

RobotoMon

Tokyo Revenger, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, 86 Eighty Six, and Steins;gate first season are all really good

Gabby

Also i gotta recommend Soul Eater its always been my favorite

Via

i highly recommend demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen!

Luft

This isn’t a series but a film, A Silent Voice. Without giving off too much detail, there’s a girl with impaired hearing getting bullied in school. A series I personally liked, Banana Fish. There are a few trigger warnings for this (SA, CP, ED etc.). Lastly, Erased & Ass Class as some of the commenters above have mentioned!

formoftherapy

The schedule will be posted either tonight or tomorrow! I'm working on it as we speak. I'll do my best to have it up tonight for you!

formoftherapy

I would rewatch BLEACH just for how epic the soul society arc is. And also I heard it's coming back!!

firstwoii

I recommend Parasyte The Maxim with all of my heart

Y

kicho wa maid sama. ookami shoujo to kuro ouji assasination classroom special A oran Highschool Host club Death note

fruityfairytale

I’m ENTHUSIASTICALLY supporting Haikyuu here. One of the best action animes but also just really heartfelt and moving in its entirety. It’s also a great introduction to sports animes.

Anonymous

ANOHANA definitely is a must! and also Code Geass, Reborn and definitely Erased!

Luft

WAIT OKAY I just saw you haven’t watched HxH, it’s pretty long but I’d say you kinda get attached to the characters after a while and next thing you know you’re almost finishing the show :”)

Theia

- Soul Eater was the first anime I ever watched. Oh the nostalgia... - Haikyuu is like your typical sports anime but also not. Probably everyone loves the side characters more than the two main characters and the overall dynamics between the people are super interesting. So I would be really excited to see which fan club you would join. - Noragami!!! One of the best animes of all time! F*cking character development that makes sense. Something a lot of animes are missing nowadays. I cried so much while watching episode 6. - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. If you like stuff like Leverage this could be something for you. I also recommend Danganronpa, Hamatora, Kakegurui und Psycho Pass. The main characters are just too clever for this world. - K-Project. When you're asking yourself for 13 episodes straight, if the main character is an innocent guy that was in the wrong place at the wrong time by accident or if he is actually a psychopathic mastermind and killer...

Amanda Araujo

i highly recommend jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer and tokyo revengers!! they're my favorite at the moment and i think you would love them PD, not all people are into anime sports but if you're down to it i recommend kuroko no basket its one of my favorites of ALL TIME and also would recommend the god of high school and haikyuu

Anna Banana

Tokyo ghoul, parasyte, blue exorcist, death note, and attack on titan are good animes!

Daphne Karavas

I TOTALLY get why you got turned off of Bleach but I'd LOVE to see you react to it especially since its FINALLY coming back. (that's more personal taste due to nostalgia though) Anime I'd actually recommend though: One Piece, Fruits Basket, Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, Jujitsu Kaisen, Tower of God, Ouran High School Host Club, Sword Art Online, .Hack//* I'd offer descriptions but this comment is already kinda long. *The one thing with this series is that it spans across multiple titles and multiple mediums. The entire story isn't told in the animes. To get the full picture you have to include the video games. You can watch the animes without them but it would make more sense with them. (For the record .Hack//Sign is my favourite)

Anonymous

Why not keep watching Boku No Hero? Maybe you don't want to have to rewatch the few episodes you already watched, which is understandable, but I think people could also just watch them on their own. I think that show is in keeping with the "therapeutic" positive vibe of your content, and also has the right mix of humor and action to be excellent reaction content. Plus, if you started now, you'd likely be somewhat on schedule with the production of the last 2-3 seasons, assuming you did one episode a week. People knock MHA a lot, but it's truly a remarkable series once you invest in it. Barring that, I'd recommend Tokyo Revengers or Tower of God (based on a Korean manhwa, SKZ did the opening and ending themes), which are both newer, or Ouran High School Host Club, which is far and away the funniest anime I've ever seen (it looks ridiculous, but give it a try).

GloomyBear

You HAVE to get back into Attack On Titan - that anime hands down has the most intense plot twist crazy moments. It’s so shocking, seriously jaw dropping moments that make your head go 🤯 boom! But be careful of spoilers - people can’t help but spoil the heck out of that anime, it’s that good 😓 It’s also the most streamed anime of this year (along with Demon Slayer), so there that lol

Anonymous

The anime I would recommend are : Asobi Asobase, the rising of shield hero, Kiznaiver, Charlotte, mob psycho 100, space dandy, black clover, and noragami

billie27

There is no way you haven’t watch Death Note

CreatureSoul446

I'd love to see you react to the first season of Psyco-Pass, fair warning though it does touch on some adult themes like sexual assault and it can get pretty gory. I'll tell you though I've never been more conflicted about who is right between a "hero" and a "villain" before. The premise is that Japan now lives under something called the Sibyl System which has a lot of control over people's lives. The Sibyl system can scan people's minds and assign them psycho-passes that show how clear their mental state is, and crime coefficients, which show how likely they are to commit a crime. Someone with a high crime coefficient can get arrested or even executed even if they haven't actually committed a crime yet. The series follows a new inspector, someone who is given handle over criminals called enforcers who are used to catch other criminals and her journey of trying to do her job while also starting to wonder whether living under the Sibyl System is the right way to live. It's ultimately a show that makes you think about the value of comfort versus free will. The first season is 22 episodes long.

Cristine

Oehhh I'm down for all the previously mentioned options. But here also some other animes I haven't seen suggested yet: - Danganronpa (3 parts) - Death parade (12 ep) - Great pretender ( 23 ep) - Tower of God (13 ep) - Orange (13 ep) - Psycho Pass (a lot 😅) - Re-life ( 13 ep) Kept it "light hearted" since I'm sure most people would suggest all the well known ones.

Haya

I would recommend Hunter X Hunter and Attack on Titan 👍🏼

Anonymous

Mob Psycho 100 Attack on titan ( I say definitely give it another go) The rising of the shield hero Demon slayer Death note Cowboy bebop Steins Gate Tokyo ghoul Re zero Parasyte Your name (not a anime series but a really! Good movie)

Layman's Outlook

I would recommend Baccano! With a really unique story telling technique. Also Steins gate these both have an amazing dubbed version as well.

breanna

Highly highly highly suggest (in this order of faves) 1. Hunter x Hunter, 2. Haikyuu, 3. Jujutsu Kaisen

WiseSmellyLegs

Bounto Arc in Bleach did the same to me, feel you bro… One Piece is definitely worth it, but watching it on Patreon would take many years… and also at one point, the anime adaptation gets really slower, in the way that they adapt really a few chapters of manga into one episode… so it is better to read the manga instead. About Black Clover… no hate to anyone here, but that would be the only anime from this list, I would not like to watch… Promised Neverland has good only the first season, the second one skipped whole story right to the end, so again I would recommend manga instead. Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack On Titan)!! I know you said you spoiled the whole thing to yourself, but even if the whole thing was the end of the story, there are so many mind blowing things to happen during the whole story before the end, so I would say it is okay to watch it anyway! I mean… there are so many political and life questionable thoughts, I am pretty sure you would love it! If I can recommend one, it would definitely be Death Note! Pure masterpiece 👌🏾🙏🏽

Elise Green

My Hero Academia is super good including all three movies. Also Death Note

GraceH

Studio Ghibli enthusiast here! All my email and laptop backgrounds are houses and/or landscapes from Ghibli movies! Miyazaki has such a love for nature and it comes through in the most beautiful ways (coming from a very much not outdoorsy person)! My personal favorites are Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle (expect for Christian Bale's oddly seductive voicing of Howl in the English version bc wtf was that). I also love My Neighbor Totoro (just because it's heartwarming, there isn't much plot) and Kiki's Delivery Service (it's been forever since I've seen it but my grandma had it on VHS tape when I was growing up)

Emily L.

I'm all for an Anime Club! Here's the general list of the almost 100 that I've watched, though I do need to update at some point since I've watched more: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jh9M7-Nky21nkKj5pMyEXgnOKEU02Vmw9te4LDy6t9w/edit?usp=sharing It's kind of split into sections dependent on its content? Highlighted ones I especially love, though I did enjoy most of them!

everett

if you wanna see the most breathtaking animation with an incredibly heartwarming and simultaneously heartbreaking story, i really recommend A Place Further Than The Universe! i highly doubt it'll be a popular pick but its my favorite anime of all time. its incredible and really changed the way i view my life and my goals/aspirations. even if i can get one person to watch this show from fellow patrons here i'll be a happy camper lol. but for more "popular" shows, mob psycho 100 is also absolutely incredible with great animation and story! my second fav anime lol :'-) i really don't check out much "mainstream" anime anymore tho so regardless of which tier i'll probably switch so i can watch them with you

Julian

I think you would love some angsty shit, so Banana Fish is my pick! Also there are some more chill and beatiful anime like Tsurune or March comes in like a lion todo which are cool. Just trying to give some variety because I do with agree with the comments about Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen, both are great. Oh and also add Given to the angsty (yet wholesome) list. P.S: SK8 the Infinity is just a fun anime with some incredibly unrealistic skating and some really good bromance, love it.

Fatim

YOU HAVE TO WATCH DEMON SLAYER ANS JUJUTSU KAISEN, they are also shorter so it’s not a big commitment one has two seasons and a movie and the other has on season

Chatise Smith

Why is Inuyasha not on this list :P

Anonymous

I would absolutely move to autumn tier cause this sounds like fun. I've also heard a lot about certain animes and want to watch them but then never do lol

everett

omg, i just commented to recommend this show and was scrolling through the comments to see what others had suggested and i'm so glad i found someone else recommending it AHH it seems right up PD's alley too, what an incredible show

Krissywithk

I'm sure you'll LOVE haikyuu!! It's so innocent and refreshing and nothing too serious or complicated like Naruto or Bleach and i have a feeling you'd love the humor and the characters a lot! So if we'd do a voting haikyuu would definitely have my vote haha As for second suggestions or i guess wishes i would recommend hunter x hunter just because i love the world building and overall concept haha but that's one of the "lengthy" animes so something with seasons and less episodes (mind you i have no idea how many haikyuu actually has, but so far it's 4 seasons with 3 out of them having around 20 episodes and one being only 10 episodes long) would fit you better in my opinion. Of course choose just what you like but a lighthearted volleyball anime with energetic characters and loving humor is just right up my alley and seeing as this anime is already super popular i would dare say that also resonates with majority of other anime lovers :)

cynthia li

I feel like Haikyuu is a good place to start! It isn't too long unlike some of the other examples, easy to follow, and is in general a good starter anime for anyone imo

Ghostly

Ghost Hunt!!

Anonymous

OMG YES TO JUJUTSU KAISEN , DEMON SLAYER, HAIKYUU

Anonymous

Jujustu Kaisen is a no brainer! Demon Slayer, the art is fantastic. Cowboy bebop is classic!

pikachu

Out the current list, Hunter X Hunter would be my top pic. The storyline is great, and the action might be one of my favorite. My suggestion would be DEATH NOTE. It's absolutely insane and I believe you would really like it. It's classified as a supernatural crime thriller anime and the protagonist of this series might be the best anti-hero I've seen in an anime. The whole storyline is very thought-provoking, engaging, and dark without being over the top. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who reads this.

Anonymous

Haikyuu is definitely an amazing place to start! It got me into anime and it's so heart warming and makes you root for everyone! I'd definitely move over to the autumn tier if you decided to watch that one :D

everett

i also have to say haikyuu is great! if you wanna go with a more popular show thats a great place to start lol

Western Spy

ATTACK ON TITAN ATTACK ON TITAN ATTACK ON TITAN ATTACK ON TITAN ATTACK ON TITAN SERIOUSLY TRUST ME IT GETS WAY CRAZIER THAN WHAT YOU'VE WATCHED IT'S LITERALLY THE GOAT ANIME

Krissywithk

Ohhhh and forgot to mention but this one gets overlooked when it comes to anime recommendations but noragami is also so good! I love the animation style and humor, oh and how can i forget the characters!!! I have a feeling you would love one of the main characters yato a lot haha he's a fan favorite! The concept and the music are fantastic! One of the things i really loved about bleach is their phenomenal choice in music and that definitely also plays a role in noragami as well, I've been listening to the openings for years now and the atmospheric music they out over intense scenes makes my skin tingle hahaha (in a good way of course) And if going for a popular one (which you most likely will to satisfy majority of your viewers) then I'd recommend demon slayer! Also great animation style and great story. I've only seen the first season but i loved it! And just to promote one of my new favorites i also recommend tower of god. A fairly new one and therefore still pretty short with i believe only 13 episodes but it's based an a Korean manhwa which i absolutely adore (and to promote it even more both the opening and ending songs are by stray kids! You've reacted to them already hahah they're TOP and SLUMP)

Emily L.

I also see you are a person of culture oho, many of us are looking forward to SPY X FAMILY as its scheduled to start airing in April 2022! I like to encourage you watching, from the ones you mentioned: Haikyu, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer! Outside of those, I love sports anime quite a bit, Haikyu is a fave, but I also love Free, Ace of Diamond, and Kuroko no Basuke. My fave of all time is Natsume's Book of Friends which has 6 seasons, some OVA, and films as of now, and it's a slice of life with a twist of the supernatural! It's legitimately also considered a healing anime, if you ever feel the need to go in that direction.

Anonymous

Demon Slayer is visually the best anime to watch right now and the story is not half bad. Hunter x Hunter would be quite slow but it’s one of the best in my opinion. If you want to try sports anime, Haikyu(volleyball) is good, or if you want boxing Hajime no Ippo, or you can go back to classics like Slam Dunk. Talking about classic anime, Yu Yu Hakusho is also good along with flame of Recca.

Anonymous

Not making the following suggestions to influence the react list (since I'm Spring tier and I'm very behind on every content I follow anyway), but I strongly recommend watching Code Geass and Psycho-pass. Those are my top anime along with FMA Brotherhood. Having this said, I haven't watched a lot of anime so far either, so there might be better ones out there, but these two are really interesting (aaand the Bounto arc was also when I stopped watching Bleach, it makes zero sense, lol).

Kim Dang

I would love to see you watch the Studio Ghibli films for the first time! Also, is there a particular genre of anime you would like to get recommendations for? I noticed a lot of Shonen action series listed but would you be open for different genres?

Alex W

Recommending Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer and Attack on titan!!! In particular the attack on titan story gets even more insane and the characters are really humane. Demon slayer is visually gorgeous and the story was very touching for me at times and JJK is a fun ride too Also highlighting Haikyuu as a really good sports anime!! Lighthearted and super inspiring (positive vibes and overcoming hardship)

Anonymous

Haikyuu, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Sword Art Online, Tower Of God & Horimiya for me :)

NINA MESSINA

snow white with the red hair is such a wholesome anime, pretty perfect for spring season

Mabel Lee

demon slayer! I think you'd really like the effects and animation. It's the best in that department right now. toilet bound hanako-kun also has one of the best artstyles I've ever seen, so I'd suggest that! and if you want a easy to watch comedy, monthly girls nozaki-kun is one of the best in my opinion, and it's on netflix

flowerbit

I like this idea. And I would transfer to Autumn tier depending on the shows you’d have going on at the time! (currently summer tier) But, I highly suggest Demon Slayer. It’s not very long at the moment with a 26 ep first season, a movie, and 10(ish) episode 2nd season (meant to be watched in that order). A lot of anime people say it’s “too mainstream” and not really good. But I say they’re mistaken. Its exciting, emotional, and unlike many anime of this genre it really picks up pretty quickly within the first 5-7 episodes. The animation is also crazy. I’m also down to watch Haikyu because I’ve never seen it myself but have heard lots of great things.

Belle Christina

100% Jujutsu kaisen is so good!!

Belle Christina

i would also like to recommend the case study of vanitas, a new anime that is AMAZING

Anonymous

i've never been very interested in anime, but last year i saw haikyuu and i loved it so much! as they said above, i think it would be a good start

Pooge

i loved seeing black clover at least mentioned on the list! it’s my favorite anime of all time! i know for some people that it may get repetitive and it’s a pretty general shounen anime, but something about it, i love. and i won’t disagree with the claims about it being repetitive because i don’t disagree but it’s not enough for me to stop watching. besides black clover, jujutsu kaisen is my favorite. pd, i think you would really like jjk and there’s only one season out with (24?) episodes so it wouldn’t take much time for you to finish. i’m looking forward to anime club!

Isabella N.

i personally LOVE my hero and would rlly enjoy ur reactions to the rest of the series, but i also think you’d like haikyuu for something light hearted and easy to follow. if u want more action, jjk, aot or noragami! and ghibli movies are classics (spirited away or howls moving castle are what i usually recommend ppl start with)

Sofia Serey

I will love it! if is possible this new section, please consider to watch some Studio Ghibli movies! It would be interesting your pov!

lupe

I feel like Demon Slayer would be the best start for Anime Club. Not only is it currently super popular so a majority of patrons who watch anime have probably checked it out but i also think you’d enjoy it since the animation is really good and they use a lot of film like editing. I can def seeing you pausing to just talk about the animation (if you’re at all interested in it to some degree) it’s not the only anime with great animation but its unarguably the best especially s2 which has just ended. and the story is also enjoyable

Jola

My rec is The Disastrous life of Saiki K. It’s a lighthearted comedy that will leave you “???” because of how outlandish some of the things in the show are.

Anonymous

I would love to watch your reaction for Jujutsu Kaisen, One piece, Haikyuu or even attack on titan. honestly, even animes i never watched i would be happy to watch for the first time with you.

idk how much of Promised Neverland you’ve seen but if you’ve seen S1. you don’t need to see S2, they cut a lot of stuff (i think for budgetary reasons). i’m halfway through One Piece and Hunter x Hunter and i love them! i don’t watch much anime, but Demon Slayer and Jujustsu Kaisen are rightfully the hottest shows airing right now. I think you would like all of these.

Maca

mob psycho 100, puella magi madoka magica + the rebellion movie, and haikyuu!!

Nat

I think Death Note would be a good start considering the length it is, it’s not as long as the others

Anonymous

The Misfit of Demon King Academy is something that is just enjoyable to watch imo.

Thomas

i love one piece but its insanely long and i love seven deadly sins and its not nearly as long as any other animes

Anonymous

I watched a lot of anime back in high school. Although I don’t keep up with it anymore if I could only recommend one it would be soul eater. At fifty something episodes there’s plenty of great story to dissect but not so much as to drive you crazy. I love the lore within the show and the found family/team that makes up the heart of the show. It’s always been my favorite and still is almost ten years later.

Floater

Code Geass!!

KD

Demon Slayer is sooo goood. Bleach will get his final Arc in the Anime starting this Oktober. Also i realy love the following : Fairy Tail, Food Wars (Shokugeki no Soma), Date A Live, The Fate Saga (Fate/Zero,Fate/stay night,Stay night unlimited bladeworks and Stay night/heavensfeel). I think i would change to the autumn plan from the summer one,if you consider starting the Anime Club ;)

Anonymous

I definitely recommend Demon Slayer and Haikyuu! Neither are completed though, so if you want to watch completed shows you could start with others

Anonymous

If you are going to watch Ghibli movies, my favorites are Kiki's Delivery Service and Ponyo. Definitely some of my comfort movies lol

RaeVe

Fairy Tail is just a must, such a good anime with friendships bonds and superation stories. Mi fav of all time. Long but worth it.

Angel

Kakegurui or Attack on Titan

star_eternity

My recommendation are Sword art online and fruits basket

ThatPatreonThough

Ranking of Kings! It’s a new anime for this season and it’s SO underappreciated!

Kiah Elsie

Yuru camp is sooo relaxing and chill and just so wholesome. I’d definitely recommend watching if you want some comfort warm anime. Also idk if y’all know but there’s horrible floods happening in Australia right now and where I live the flood waters gotten up to my front door, and we’re currently stuck here with no way out. Your videos help me take my mind off of everything that’s happening right now, thanks so much PD. Stay safe everyone, 💛

Alvena

Oh! I would love to rewatch Haikyuu! with you and maybe a recommendation is Noragami as it is actually one of my fav... if you would like a lighthearted comedy, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K would be a fun one too

itsadeeky

Death Note is soo good to start off with! I love the plot it has dark thriller theme and it’s got a good number of episodes for a easy watch.

Di

I also only read manga but based on the story, I'd recommend Demon slayer. From my friends who both read and watched the anime, they said the anime was good.

Di

Jujusta Kaisen manga is also good but not complete, so I imagine the anime isn't either.

ThatPatreonThough

SUGGESTION: Some anime are fairly short while some are VERY long. I’m not sure how many Anime you’d be planning on watching at once, but if it’s going to be one at a time, don’t do Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, etc. Basically don’t do anything with more than 24 episodes if it’s 1 at a time. If you’re going to do more than 1 anime at a time. Have 1 be a long, like Black Clover, BNHA, Naruto, etc. and any other anime being shorter ones. That way, you have something consistent and something that ends and you can move through quickly.

Anonymous

I highly recommend ERASED! It is sooo good!! They even made a live action drama based on it! It’s super underrated in my opinion but a hidden gem. Also DEATH NOTE is great it was one of the first animes I watched and was super interesting.

jennielvr_

bungou stray dogs is a must

yayasiimsx

Demon slayer & spy x family

Saolam Nguyen

I will never shut up about Hunter x Hunter and I truly think PD will like it! It's one of my absolute favorite anime of all time, right next to FMA Brotherhood - even though both are actually very different. But HxH is on the longer side (and a full time commitment). If you're looking for something short, I would suggest Death Note or Kakegurui

채채즈

demon slayer & black clover is lit, also haikyuu is cool too. Also there are some amazing ost for those 3 anime and if I'm not wrong txt also do 1 ost for black clover and haikyuu

Alison Renaud

Death Note is my favorite anime of all time!!! Its super dark but the story line and voice acting are PHENOMENAL!!!! Ryuk is the best character ever created! The psychological behind the characters is mind blowing too if you love psychological thrillers. It is super dark though. Im currently rewatching Soul Eater since its my second favorite of all time. The characters are beautiful both inside and out and the fighting is insane!! Not to mention the characters TURN INTO WEAPONS!!!! Its freaking awesome!!!! Others Ive watched and love and are on my list to rewatch since its also been ages for me: Gundam Wing Cowboy Beebop (classic if not THE most classic anime of all time) DEFINITELY A MUST Code Geas Naruto Shippudden (I havent even started it yet) also Sasuke is the love of my life! Trigun (also classic) RWBY (also another one with amazing fighting!!!) Im very much into old school anime since Ive been into it since early 2000s. Im so excited for you to see some of these!!!! Cant wait!!! Thank you!!!!

Bwbble

Idk what youre looking for specifically (my taste is really sad stuff lmao) but Tower of Good is really good!

Bwbble

Ooo Erased is so good I think PD would like it

CinMin

omg I'm so excited for this!!! As somone who recently got back into anime this is really cool, I cant wait!! Out of the ones you've mentioned Haikyu is probably my all time fav anime but Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer are also very good starters! The latter two are shorter episodes wise since they came out more recently but for something on the long run Haikyu is def the way to go with 4 seasons! Other shows that I highly recommend: 1. 86 - a mecha(?) war type anime, very sci-fi but in a really good way, deals with a lot of human emotions and values, especially racism/colorism/classism but in its own dystopian type world (1 seasons split in 2 parts but part 2 hasnt finished due to production issues they will continue in march/april I believe) 2. Dr. Stone - very very different type of anime in which the protagonist uses sciences to fight his battles, the premise and story is super interesting and the science concept is really cool too (2 seasons, 3rd was announced for next year) 3. Fruits Basket - a classic but also not so classic shoujo romance anime, I watched it without knowing anything and it is definitely not your typical romance anime but in the best ways, lots of explorations of characters and their relationships and bonds (3 seasons) 4. Tokyo Revengers - also a newer show that is about a time leaper who gets the chance to travel into the past and change the future, very engaging storyline as well (1 season so far) 5. Given - a romance anime about two boys, a band and some tragic backstories... One of the best BL anime's out there imo, its also very short! (1 season, 11 episodes and 1 movie) There's a bunch more I can think of but I tried to list a bit of a variety^^ Super excited for this to start next week!! Thank you!!!

Jola

Something that is entirely different than anything that’s been recommended so far: Cardcaptor Sakura. Or any magical girl series! Tokyo Mew Mew is wonderful as well. I heard there’s a remake of the 2002 version coming out this year! I would recommend Banana Fish as well. Warning: you will be left emotionally damaged.

M

If you want to play it safe, I’d go for demon slayer. It’s really good (it’s popular for a reason). The animation is also A++! Kakegurui is a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s insane and the animation gets weird in the best way. I also binged the Promised Neverland in one day and I loved it! But dear god do not watch season 2 lmao

Anonymous

Damn so many good options, demon slayer is a really nice start and daaamn, Jujutsu kaisen is also very good, one of my favorites is Haikyuu tho, I love it, it's nice and so heartwarming. Animes I would suggest: -your lie in april (Music and sadness) -Monster (VERY good and makes you think about life, it's old so IDK, but great -Erased (GREAT GREAT, also on netflix( -cowboy beepop (CLASSIC) -Card Captor Sakura (favorite magical girl anime) -VIOLET EVERGARDEN Take care!

sakeofblake

i am also notorious for reading manga all the time but rarely watching anime ;-; i might use anime club as an excuse to venture out lol. I will say, Soul Eater is an awesome series but i have my gripes. it is a good stand alone anime series if you never read the manga BUT if you find yourself unsatisfied with the anime or feel something was missing/lacking i highly recommend the manga afterwards if you watch the show! it's one of my favorites of all time and i own all the physical copies of each volume

laura

I think it would be good for you to start off with shorter animes like Erased, Banana Fish, Re:Zero, Steins Gate

Deniz Ak

Damn you gotta watch death note PD

winterkrash

I recommend Assassination Classroom and Violet Evergarden

Anonymous

I recommend mushoku tensei and ousama ranking. They are two of the beste anime of last year.

Anonymous

...that's exactly where I stopped bleach too... Jujutsu kaisen is a really good show, but it has some serious pacing issues (this is apparently a problem in the manga as well). If you look past that you'll have a great time. It's a mix of shounen and a smidge of horror. Disastrous like of saiki k - psychic boy trying to have a normal life but failing. Each episode is divided into segments Someone mentioned violet evergarden and that's worth watching, but you WILL cry. I can't remember if youve ever said if you like high school dramas (probably not?) But I feel like K-ON! may be something you'd like- it's just some highschool girls trying to form a functional band in their music club. Kyoto animation used to do some great animes in general. Kyoukai no kanata- girl can manipulate her blood to fight demons, great fight scenes. Shirobako- friends trying to make an anime if I remember correctly

CRAYON weiwen

I suggest One Punch Man for short episodes and fun to watch, no stress and you can laugh a lots.

Cypher J

I'm echoing a lot of other people here but my top recommendations would be Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Code Geass, Fruits Basket, and Mob Psycho 100. Death Note - a great starter and a cat and mouse game type (since you loved Itaewon Class). NGE - a lot of emotional punch, impactful imagery and stays with you for a long time. Code Geass - also similar to a cat and mouse game but a lot more political. Fruits Basket - emotionally impactful show that focuses on relationships between characters and character growth, very quiet and beautiful. Mob Psycho 100 - if you want to feast your eyes on a unique and breathtaking art-style , endearing characters as well

Cypher J

All of these are personal favorites of mine. For Fruits Basket I would honestly go for the remake (2019), since the original is incredible in it's own right but does not adapt the whole story of the original manga and you might also find the art-style dated depending on your preferences. Also I hope I don't ruffle too many feathers but I would vote against watching Sword Art Online since I feel that there is some very exploitative content later in the show, and also that the premise falls apart rather quickly. I'm personally not a fan of it at all.

Miro

my hero academia is great! I also really recommend Demon Slayer! I watched the first and second season over the course of one weekend because I just couldn't stop watching it and that after I took a very long break from anime! I'm also controlling myself to not read the manga because I think this is a show you have to experience animated.

Yellowie778

Would like to suggest tower of god. Was first introduced to it cause of stray kids ost, but got hooked aft watching the series and ended up binging the whole manga.

kelly

PLEASEE WATCH DEMON SLAYER ITS SO GOOD AND S2 JUST FINISHED

SyrupEatingPancake

Demon Slayer is such a good anime I hope you can check it out :)

Sunny

I would love your reactions to anime series. Don't know if u will only react to one show or more at the same time, but I can really recommend Demon Slayer, the artwork is phenomenal. Esp now in season 2....u shouldn't miss that really. (everyone shouldn't) I don't know if u are or are not more willingly to watch this series, but really hands down one of the greatest anime ; esp storyline wise but ofc the animation too; is Attack on titan. Yeah there are brutal scenes (esp in s1 and s2....but it also get less for a time and u really shouldnt miss out on the story telling. And lastly what i can recommend maybe for some laugh or more lighthearted moments maybe one punch man ? Bec these other too are dark and also makes you think more or feel more for the characters. One punch i think is a good way to ease up lol. animes i can also recommend : 1. Jujutsu Kaisen 2. tokyo ghoul (but is def has his brutal moments, but its a lot about dilemma and chracter developemnt great anime to make u question urselve what u would do.

emotionless bot

HUNTER X HUNTER and ONE PIECE have such a LOYAL AND DEDICATED FANBASE,, and it's amazing to boot! if you like MHA, you'll like the two 100% BUT if you like something for the detective brain, try DEATH NOTE.

Yedi

My all time favorite anime is hunter x hunter so it would be very fun if you would check that out!!

SpacedOut Vy

I’d pay so much money to watch Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer with you!!

Julianne

Gintama! And if you don’t mind Chinese content, Link Click!

Jannelle

Oooooooo I love! Demon Slayer is amazing, so is jujitsu Kaisen. I would also like to recommend Mob Psycho 100.

Zenah

Attack on titan! I joined your Patreon because I loved your in-depth discussion and opinions and I would love to see you talk about attack on titan ( because there is a lot to discuss in this show especially the later seasons when we get answers to s1 questions). I have seen almost every anime on list above and I think aot is the best among them it is going to be a classic anime once it is finished this year. It is really good in its writing, plot, animation and cinematography (plus the soundtrack 😍) I really recommend you continue watching it because s1 was just setting the mystery and the world after that is a roller coaster

Zenah

I am telling you it is going to be classic I am convincing everyone I know to watch it cuz I can’t handle this overwhelming show by myself and I don’t want them to miss on the show. 😳

Zenah

I like how every plot point comes full circle not a single shot in this anime goes to waste every thing has a meaning (quite literally)

Brianna

I know it’s technically not an anime it’s a Chinese donghua but heaven official’s blessings is good and it’s on Netflix

Lavine Lee

Attack on Titan please, its a whole new different league!

Anonymous

I defitinely recommend Demon Slayer and another anime I love as well is the Seven deadly sins

Melody

Nana, Naoki Urasawas Monster, Erased, Black Butler, or Death Note. I love others but they’re a lot longer.

Haruka

OK, if you're gonna start watching anime, Ghibli movies are the safest choice from the list. And i can recommend a few more that i think you would LOVE: "Hotarubi no Mori e", "Boku Dake ga inai Machi", "Noragami", "Yuri on Ice", "Zetsuen no Tempest", "Kiseijuu". If you dont mind the long ride "Durarara!!" series are MIND BLOWING. Hunter x Hunter 2011 is so long, but it's a really good anime like top 10 for sure. Soul Eater's anime is not as good as its manga unfortunately. Black Clover and One Piece is REALLY long like longer than HxH. Haikyuu, One Punch Man and Kakegurui are fun to watch. Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer are the newest shounens we have as popular ones atm. Demon Slayer's animation is top tier but both of them are ongoing series as of now, so.. i wouldnt recommend.

Anonymous

hunter x hunter and jujutsu kaisen are both really good, I think you'd enjoy both of them

Anonymous

Honestly, I'd like to see and hear your opinions on the movie 'A silent voice'. It is a movie that deals with quite 'heavy' topics but, I think there is quite a lot to nit pick an appreciate especially from your knowledge and passion as a director.

jstndcsn

Jujutsu no kaisen is good for opening :D

Julia

Naruto and Attack on Titan PLEASEEE 😭😩

Betânia Camille Backes

My ultimate favorites are Code Geass and Steins; Gate. They're not everyone's cup of tea, but from these, I believe Code Geass could lead to some very interesting discussions. A more popular suggestion is Attack on Titan, definitely worth watching, some very well written characters and an engaging narrative

Gigi

hunter x hunter and jujutsu kaisen!!!!!!!

SD

I recommend Mob Psycho 100 (it's just two seasons and it is really good!)

The K-Nerd

Jujutsu kaisen please😭the animation is so well done and the characters are so interesting

daniel

pd, you BETTER watch kakegurui

daniel

kakegurui compulsive gambler seems so much like your cup of tea

daniel

is it normal that the military color scheme of aot hurts my eyes? 😭😭

babymetalic

highly recommend death note or kakegurui

holls

i feel like you would love death note pd!! kakegurui is also a personal fave of mine

ThatPatreonThough

Just noticed the Schedule lists you’ll be doing Ep 1 of 3 different anime. So I’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND having 1 of them being a longer anime and the other 2 be anime with shorter runs. IMO, you should watch: My Hero Academia as the long anime. Ranking of Kings and Jujutsu Kaisen as the “shorter” ones.

Mac

Oh, I haven’t watched anime in years, but this club might get me back into it. I second any Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Haikyuu suggestion. My two suggestions not mentioned in your post are Run with the Wind, and A Place Further than the Universe. Both are shorter and a good palate cleanser if you are going to be watching action heavy anime, and are just beautiful and special.

s3nsi

Well I watched hundreds of Anime and I can confidently say that nothing beats Hunter x Hunter (2011) for me. Even though the first arc might not immediately grab you, it just gets better and better and it’s so well written. But it’s also quite long so there is that. But I really recommend this anime.

Emma Ko

I'm down for a Pokémon watch party hahaa

h.

omg pd demon slayer is literally so good !! the drawing, the story line, the comedy. everything abt it is so good and it’s not popular for no reason. i rly recommend it if you wanna watch something deep and emotional!

Ella

I absolutely recommend Hunter X Hunter

Anonymous

ohh pd you definitely have to keep watching attack on titan. A couple months ago i wasn't very sure of watching it but oh god it's been so good until now, i never imagined i would like it so much but the plot really keeps you on the edge every single episode. I should also add that the openings are AMAZING. Another one i really liked is haikyuu though i've only read the manga, but it's full of hilarious scenes and the game matches are so intense, plus all the characters are so special and interesting that you never get sick of them. Now i'm so hyped for the anime club!!!

ana_uaena

Demon Slayer is like a MUST, it just to good to not watch.

Juliana Ferrari

Demon Slayer is my favorite at the moment, I definitely recommend!

Arriane

Jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer and black clover💚💚💚

danelly

I'd say JJK, Haikyuu!!, Demon Slayer, and MHA are really great to start getting into anime.

sunnyside

haikyuu is a must watch! i feel it's one of those shows where it's harder to NOT connect with the show than the other way around. as much as it is about the sport, the core theme of haikyuu is the bonds we form with other people and how those relationships push us to become better versions of ourselves. incredibly touching, outrageously fun, and just gorgeously animated. also? hype as hell, from music to "action" scenes.

ᴍᴀᴅɪsᴏɴ

I recommend Hunter x Hunter and jujutsu kaisen!!

MoonChild96

Please do Haikyuu :)

Anonymous

Your Lie in April. It’s only one season, it’s about music, it is GORGEOUS. Might be triggering for some, but it highlights this kid’s really complicated relationship with music and with his mother. So visually stunning imo. I know this is a super random opinion. It’s just one of my favs

Marvin John Roldan

Hello PD! Pleaseee react to Billlie's new comeback

Wiktor

ARCANE. thats it. ARCANE is the show you START anime club off with a BANG! change my mind 😩

Anonymous

Haikyuu!!: wholesome volleyball content with great characters and character developement, also amazing animation and story! (one of my comfort shows) Demon Slayer: oh my god the best animation of recent years imo!! SOOO GOOOD!! It's maybe my #1 fav rn along with many others. Just amazing u have to watch this. Jujutsu Kaisen: ALSO RECOMMENDED!! Love the plot and animation, action and characters a lot. i'd recommend u to start with either Haikyuu or Demon Slayer, depending on what kind of vibe and story u want! Maybe u can watch the trailers + do a poll then decide?

8Makes1Atiny

I would like to recommend Haikyuu, Black clover and Jujutsu kaisen

Aiz

I'd recommend Jujutsu kaisen and demon slayer as more action based anime, one punch man for the humour and then..haikyuu! for soothing content

Georgina Simon

I would recommend Hunter x Hunter!! It's my favorite anime, and the way the story progresses keeps you engaged the whole time. It's fairly lengthy, but not too much so. Otherwise I would suggest Demon Slayer, the animation is top tier and the plot is so intense yet enjoyable at the same time. I think either one of those would be a good one to check out

alec

I recommend BACCANO!!

kung lao

PD, u gotta watch Attack on titan because the plot is actually insane! I think you will enjoy, I have to agree that season 1 and 2 are the most boring seasons but I am 100% sure you will enjoy it from late s2 until the end, its an anime that makes u think further then what u see and question human society and psychology.

Anonymous

I recommend Haikyu because its light hearted, entertaining and its the classic story of an underdog who works hard to overcome their limitations

Chi T.

Really hope PD would consider picking up Attack on Titan again, the series gets better and even after knowing spoilers, it's worth watching for the philosophical discussion!

Josue Hernandez

Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer would be the first ones I’d like to see you watch! The story in Attack in Titan blows my mind, and Demon Slayer has the best animation I’ve ver seen

Yereida Gallardo

TO YOUR ETERNITY! really great show - great premise and amazing characters that you really become attached to. Also recommend mushishi and mob psycho 100

Anonymous

Would recommend Hunter X Hunter ;)

Petra Kamali

I personally love One Punch Man + The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Saiki K is a comedy and kinda meta?? Similar in vibe to One Punch Man! I have rewatched it so many times that even though I speak 0 Japanese, I know what scene is playing without looking at the screen :'D

Petra Kamali

Side note: If you would ever end up watching Saiki K, it's on Netflix as 20ish min episodes that consist of 4? smaller bits. Netflix combined these smaller bits into full episodes, so they're easier to consume I guess

anejelly

I suddenly remembered how much you've talked about Studio Ghibli fils during the livestream for Your name hahaha. If you ever decided to watch it'll be fun. On the anime you have mentioned I would love to see your reaction on Jujutsu Kaisen just because it only has one season right now and we will not have to wait much on your reactions haha. Personally one of my favorites has to be Bungo Stray Dogs and I would love it if you decided to react to it. I also really love Haikyuu but I think it depends on someone's preference.

Anonymous

If you want to watch something that is emotional and has a lot of impact with music, I would recommend watching your lie in April. It's one of my all time favorite anime.

Anonymous

My personal favorite is Bungo Stray Dogs and I would really like to see your reactions to it. Also Jujutsu Kaisen is another really good one so I recommend that you could watch that first.

Anonymous

I also don't watch that much anime but I really enjoyed boku no hero academia and Jujutsu Kaisen! Would definitley recommend! And when it comes to sport animes Haikyuu is the one to watch. Of course it is just a sports anime so it depends on whether you like the genre or not. But from what I've noticed, even people not interested in volleyball at all really enjoy it, that's probably why it's so loved. The last season is weak but all the others are AMAZING in my opinion. Also, If you add it to the autumn tier I would definitley upgrade from summer to autumn so that seems like a good idea.

Emi R.

1 vote for Soul Eater

Gigi

HUNTER X HUNTER

Gigi

HUNTER. X. HUNTER.

leinie

my personal favourite is noragami! i would love to watch it a 9th time to see your reaction as i think its one of the funniest anime out there

TTTT

banana fish!!

Anonymous

YES to DEMON SLAYER, JUJUTSU KAISEN and HAIKYU!!, but also RUN WITH THE WIND (23 ep). An underrated show and a true gem. Not anime, but ARCANE (9 ep) is a must-watch masterpiece. It's easily up there with AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER. I'd love to watch it again with you and hear your thoughts and opinions.

Emma Rösler

Naruto is a classic but would need a LOT of dedication since there are so many episodes, but if you decide to start watching it (on here or just on your own) you should definitely start with Naruto Classic – not with Shippuden (like I did) because that will be pretty confusing. I would absolutely love you see react to Haikyu! I've just finished it recently after finally deciding to give it a try. I've always heard about how good it is but didn't think it would be for me because... an anime about volleyball? what... but let me tell you it's SO GOOD. I get why people like volleyball now another one I'd definitely recommend is Fate/Stay night! The whole fate universe is kind of confusing because it's based on a video game and has multiple alternative story lines but this is one you can watch without having seen any of the other fate animes! It has a brilliant story line and is suuuper pretty too. If you like fantasy i would definitely recommend this!

Emma Rösler

Just realized that Tokyo Ghoul is not on your list... that's definitely a must watch too (could be a bit disturbing if you've never seen something in this genre but there are worse shows haha) oh and if you like horror: there's an anime called another that's really dope!

CJoan Rodriguez

Just wanted to say that I love anime and can't wait for when anime watching/reaction starts. So cool!

a k

I don't know if PD is the type that likes comedy, but I personally suggest watching Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. Just hilarious all the way until the end, and pokes fun through subversion of popular tropes.

kimi

Demon slayer is freaking amazing

Savannah

Hunter x Hunter, Demon Slayer, and anything Ghibli have my vote completely!

Coco Liu

finish attack on titan, death note, violet evergarden,

Leon Hockenberger

My recomendations would be: Angel Beats, Re:Zero, Kuroko no Basket

Mali

death note

Anonymous

you should finish attack on titan! its on the last season right now so you will be able to finish it all if you start now

Sami Casingal

Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

Wendalla

PD, when you said you watched a little of My Hero, how much of it do you mean? Do you plan on watching that for Anime Club?

jennielvr_

pd, u gotta watch banana fish. it does have sensitive topics but it’s probably one of the best anime’s imo

EtoileDuMatin

If you don't know them, you absolutely need to see all Miyazaki movies, they all are just so freaking amazing !

TheFashionBarbie

One in don't see recommended enough is youjo senki it's technically told from the point of view of a "villain"

Anonymous

If you don't want to dedicate time to a whole series. I highly recommend the Makoto Shinkai films. Especially Your Name and Weathering with You. Gorgeous visuals and sentimental OST with great story telling

Marie Maeker

Jujutsu Kaisen is definitely a great anime !!! 100% would recommend + it's only one season (24 episodes) for now, so it's pretty nice to start with

Josie

I highly recommend Twin Star Exorcists. It's my favorite anime! It has supernatural powers and romance.
