I think the setup for Je Ni might have been what happened last episode when the Hera kids were ostracized by the other students after their parents were arrested/taken in and Ro Na stood up for them

Basically what I thought when I first watched it: 1. Wtf just happened, no way Suryeon is dead. Wait... she's dead??? 2. I felt bad for Rona because her mother didn't even look at her (for 6 months!!). 3. Are we supposed to like Je Ni now?? 4. Poor Seokyoung, the least thing she said to her mum was that she hates her and doesn't need her. The way she handles her death made me cry. Every "I hate you, how could you leave me?" was a "I love you, please don't leave me." It was the first time I really felt bad for her. 5. Wth was the scene with Logan kidnapping Yun-Hee. How could they not prevent a murderer from escaping. Why are there only like three cops? 💀 6. I hate everyone on this show. 7. Fck this show. 8. Let's goooo season twooo

I'm so excited for season 2, probably my favorite season for spoilery reasons I can't explain. Damn, imagine if this show didn't have a second season and this is how it ended, the rage that would induce.

Started watching this with PD and Blair thinking that it had to be the dumbest drama ive ever watched but i had nothing to do while on christmas vacation so i finished this season and went on to season 2… then three and Let me tell yall…. This show made me so angry then it totally destroyed me in the end .my manz Seokhoon and my main girl Jenny… God.. that is what i call character development. I hope yall hurry up and finish watching this thing because i do not want to suffer alone.

Someone already mentioned it before, but I think the Jenni thing maybe connected to Rona defending them against the other students after they got their priviliges removed last episode. Even though that's not nearly enough to indicate such a sudden change of character to the audience, that's probably the moment that made Jenni rethink her behaviour.

Damn, I wanna say so many things about this episode & your thoughts on it, but gotta hold back to not spoil anything. Season 2 will blow your mind, I don't know in which way, but it definely will blow your mind.

i hope you could watch the next season immediately so you don't forget what happened. plus season 2 has shorter episodes compared to s1 and a really good season in my opinion so much happenings in the next season!!

tbh, i felt like season 1, the writers were just very ambitious. Had alot of big ideas going on for this drama. I felt like they were trying too hard to come up with ways on how they could top their previous episodes as they go along which made it very unrealistic. and then when it got to s2 and 3, it progressively got worse in a sense, like it just got too nonsensical. like the writers had a "burnout" i guess from being too ambitious from the s1 that they were running out of ideas. If they had spaced out their timeline, i guess it would have gone better. But all in all, i still felt s2 was muchhhhhh better compared to s1 and s3. it had proper explanations as well as the storyline was written in a much smoother way. it wasn't too ambitious but good enough to keep you on your toes but yes, still had some very unrealistic scenes, but i guess thats why it called a makjang. s3 was just.......... but i hope you will still continue watching it because it gives a "proper ending???" i guess you could call it. still, by far, one of the most entertaining dramas i have watched in 2021. does it make my blood boil?yes. but the cast are what makes you stick around and their character developments are just amazing. but if you ask me, its my no.1 drama to recommend to people right now hahah

tbh it's not like they didn't have great ideas bc they presented, even in small dialogue parts, some reallyy interesting things that they could have brought back later and if they delved into it further, it would have been great! but instead... also completely agree about the cast, they are fantastic and why I stuck around. not only perfect for their roles but all the variety content they did really showed how they are such good people.
