Not sure if you’ll be interested or not, but there are MCountdown stages and Relay Dances for all 4 of these songs. Could be a fun extra thing to watch.

Wiktor

Wen Zhe and RuiQi are actually very close friends. They even got a hotel together during the vacation period. So Wen Zhe speaking to RuiQI and calling her out on her little 'moment' was good to see. She told her friend how it was. Jesus, my love for Wen Zhe throughout this show is so insane 😭 the growth that human has had.

Since you've already reacted to their debut mv I'm glad I can finally talk about this. I understand exactly what you mean about Hikaru being so quiet and yet confident at the same time. It was the very same feeling I felt with Kang Daniel (pd101) and Kim Yohan (pdx101). They are not even trying to get the center position, killing part nor the longest line in every performance and yet they manage to stand out every freaking time which scares me. Like there is no way MNET can rig them out of the show just like what you said. All three of them have that vibes where they are simply chilling at the back while everyone else is fighting for their life to be on the final line up. I just hope we can see more of her in their next comeback. She killed her verse in Wa Da Da but I still need to see more from her!

Fayyezz

They changed the rules in the finale lineup, which was one pick. Which I honestly found really weird cuz the it really changed the lineup. this might be something normal but I havent watched the produce series, so If someone can fill me in on that it would be great. Did they change from 3 pick to 1 pick in the produce series?

RoNNieTP

Yes, the final round has always been 1 pick since the first season of Produce 101.

Cecilia Zhang

One thing that didn’t make sense to me about Snake’s midpoint evaluation was that the mentors commented on how Su Ruiqi sounded boring on her part and how she and Fu Yaning should switch. But Ruiqi still had the same “bam, bam, bam” line after the switch. I feel bad for her because a similar thing happened to her on another program. Ultimately I think the mentors are partly responsible for how the performance came out.

GoldenBoy

The confidence level both of us have in Hikaru is insane the girl just knows how to play the game a while back I believe in the 3 person mission I was convinced Hikaru knew what she was doing on this show she understood the assignment she applied herself to what each mission would be even when critized she took that information and made adjustments to her skills the girl is a performance genius and all the improvised moves she does she takes it and make it into something memorable

Ririka & 3 other contestants of the show will debut in a new group named ILY:1

rockthekazb0t

Pronounced "eye-lee-won", fyi! And they just revealed the last two members, two Korean girls who I'm not familiar with. It's very interesting that it's a 3K/2J/1C lineup

You + Me = Love was probably my favorite performance of the entire show.

intercrus

What I loved about Mashiro is that, throughout the show, we saw how well her leadership skills helped her teams to win. Fiesta, Mafia, and U+Me performances were pretty much flawless in the sense that every member fulfilled their role and made no mistakes, and I think that's something a leader should be credited for. I'm really glad they decided on Kep1er having a leader and co-leader because I think the skills and experience of Yujin and Mashiro combined would allow the other members to comfortably rely on them.

alyce

With U+Me=Love's victory, Mashiro and May won every mission of the show (until this episode). And Mashiro led each team to victory :)

Bahiyyih is 17. Her facial expressions were definitly a ongoing discussion during the whole show. I personally think it's a combination of the excessive hate and her just not doing that well with cute concepts. You can see her losing confidence over time and it definitly shows in the performances. However, she's proved herself and shown she has incredible expressions when it comes to more neutral/mature concepts. So i have full faith in her owning every concept soon enough!

This episode was the same for me. It helped a lot of the girls catch my eye in ways that they just hadn't previously. I never disliked May or Xiaoting but it was these performances that really sold me for the two of them. I always knew that Xiaoting was super talented but never understood the hype until the Snake performance. That look in her eyes just gets to me EVERY. TIME.

excellen

Your opinion about Xingqiao was the same as mine after this episode. I loved her voice and I was voting for her since the Fiesta performance but I saw that she was still struggling a lot with dancing. She had ZERO experience with dancing before the show since she is a ballad singer in China so it was normal that she wasn't the best dancer but she wasn't improving as fast as the show required. My reason to let go of her on my top 9 was that the final group would debut really fast (And they would have debuted in a little over a month after the end of the show if it wasn't for covid) and she would not have the time to improve to not be criticized for her dance every single performance....I really didn't want to see that since she already had really low confidence and self-esteem. And seeing how the debut went she would have definitely struggled with Wa Da Da's choreo. Also agreed that this was May's best performance...shame that it came too late in the game to affect her rankings. And Mashiro is always praised, rightfully so, for her leadership but people forget how consistent she also is as a performer. She was always around vocal 2-vocal 4 in missions (excluding that final mission) but everytime her voice always made an great impression on me.

B

This is the episode where I really understood why Xiaoting was so popular. Honestly, I didn’t understand the hype before, but the Snake performance changed everything for me. She has the “it factor” for sure

Anonymous

even though may isn't usually the member to stand out, she has won every single stage. she is STABLE and, even if she doesn't stand out you will never see her fail at something. that's something great but its also kind of something she should work on (?) like trying to stand out more despite the position she is given. may is also a very talented dancer and i feel like that could've been exploited more. also cai bing my beloved. i really want her to debut, it's jaw dropping how good she looks on her instagram account. i was rooting for her since episode 1.

1. This episode made me so mad, the judges need to make sense, first they want the snake team to switch the main vocal part, they were practicing the song about a week by that time, my girl fu yaning literally had less than 2 days to practice a freaking high note and a new position in the dance, also the main vocal part in snake is super long in contrast to other main vocal parts in the other songs that are just a high note in the bridge, snake has like a minute part for the main vocak and she constantly had to be dancing plus less than 2 days to memorize the whole thing was obviously not going to go well (she is a great singer btw, there is a video of her doing the highnote after the end of the show and she did it well) and then after the judges literally told them to switch parts, they had the AUDACITY to say she was being too greedy, when the poor girl didn't get enough time to pull off that high note. I was so mad when they called her greedy like yo make it make sense. 2. I wasn't a bahiyyih fan during the whole show, but i'm super mad that the poor girl gets hate because she "doesn't sing" and because she has no expressions, when is obvious that she sings, not a main vocal type of vocalist but very stable for someone who hasn't trained before, and she has good expresions, mnet just likes to make her dirty, they are always focusing on a weird angle of her and makes her look expresionless, i really don't know how to put it but you get it, if you watch her individual fancams from fiesta, ice cream and shoot, you can crealy see her making good expresions and dancing very well, but this is mnet, you really cant expect much. 3. In this show i really didn't like that much the original songs, i like snake a lot, but the other 3 were not really my type. I prefer the produce 48 songs much more.

duster8up

LOL... Wait a minute you think Myah's introductory song was a cute sound???? WOW that's the first time ever heard 4minute's Crazy refered to as cute.

Thuy aka EroSennin

Yay! Finally got my Shen Xiao Ting squeals from PD hehe. She's been my fav queen since the first ep.

St4rkill3r

to this day i still listen to the studio version of Snake on spotify at least like 5 times per day, maaan the song is so good and Yaning sounds amazing, too bad she messed up during the live performance

Anonymous

Glad that PD pointed out my one qualm about Bahiyyih in Shoot!. Don't get me wrong guys, I love Bahiyyih and her energy but it didn't seem to translate well on camera. Maybe the eye charisma works well in person but not on film.

Western Spy

Haven't watched the video yet but man this episode frustrated me a lot with the snake team. In my opinion they were really ruined by the judges and the editing at least by what we were shown, especially Ruiqi and Yaning. The parts that were shown Ruiqi sounded completely fine and then they make her change anyway to a part that has the same part they were critiquing anyway? Then, they edit her to make her look disrespectful and bored while they were practicing when she was just yawning? And then during the rehearsal when they said she was too fast(or slow can't remember) viewers literally analysed the clip compared to the song down to the milisecond and she wasn't off at all? Overall, I do agree that U+Me was the best performance of the night, however I did feel let down by how the Snake team was treated. Also another thing, people noted how Tiffany has been gradually edited out of the episodes to the point where some people forgot she was even in the show, and that the parts they DO show of her have her giving actually good critiques and help, which makes me a bit suspicious that they didn't like how she was actually helping instead of being all drama.

Anonymous

Ririka was always in my top 3 so I'm glad she got the opportunity to debut so quickly

Western Spy

For a lot of people, this episode basically solidified how much Mnet was not on the side of the Cgirls (except for Xiaoting basically). As well as the whole Cai Bing leader issue in the past few episodes, Fu Yaning revealed after the show that the whole "We go up but you don't" thing was completely scripted from the producers end, which idk if you're aware but caused IMMENSE controversy for her and it took a lot for people to get back on her side again.

Anonymous

i stopped watching gp999 after doah was eliminated, but now that i got back on it i feel emotionally attached to xiaoting and hikaru, they're just so good !!

Anonymous

When I first started watching the show (because of Yujin) and found out that Hiyyih is Kai's sister I was ready to root for her if I liked her performances. In the beginning, she wasn't as polished, but she improved fast and Ice Cream nearly won me over, it just wasn't enough to get her into my top 9 because of her facial expressions, well not her facial expressions but her eyes. It's exactly what you pointed out In this episode. However, her fancam from the O.O.O mission showed great improvement in that area IMO... also, she suits mature concepts better than cute ones, where she doesn't have to smile as much, she pulls out a cooler look so much better.

Anonymous

Also, Youngeun is my girl, I rooted for her and voted for her right from the very beginning, seeing her being appreciated is everything, she's an ace, an all-rounder, a killer. she just kills it every time.

Anonymous

You should def watch the mcountdown stages! they r so much better!

duster8up

Yep.. I think we're all in agreement.. Hikaru is a living cheat code!!!

ggoom

My top picks at this time of the show were Dayeon, Yeseo, and Mashiro. I was very neutral on Hikaru and Xiaoting, however, the 'Snake' performance caused them to shoot up my personal ranking. For Hikaru, her introduction in the show was focused on her highlighting her rap skills, so I was disappointed when she didn't go for a rap position in the Combination mission. The rap performance she gave in 'Snake' is what I waiting for before I could commit to supporting her. For Xiaoting, I felt she underperformed in 'How You Like That', and Yeseo was star of 'Fate' for me. However, Xiaoting's performance with the killing part of 'Snake' really demonstrated her center potential in the final group.

onyx.

vouching for vicky's comment, you should totally watch the mcountdown stages, for some reason all of them performed way better.

Anonymous

shen xiaoting in snake was the highlight of this entire show for me i am 🧎🏻‍♀️

Emily L.

I think they all performed better since it was filmed after the following eliminations had taken place, so the girls didn't have to feel pressured waiting for those results anymore!

Benjamin Gonzales

After watching a couple of times, you realize those who are mathematically cannot win end up being edited out. Those who are in low spots who all of a sudden jump up might get some positive edits, but unless it translates into continuous rise in votes the edit will not change

valeria castillo

I’m sooo happy Mashiro made it to Kepler. She is amazing. At the beginning I didn’t notice her, but she was always on top 9 voting; so I started to pay attention to her. And she is amazing. Always do good.

Diana

Echoing everyone in the comments above :P I definitely think you should watch the Mcountdown stages. Everyone did so much better. You see that, for example, Yanning can definitely pull off that high note, as recorded on the studio version and their back-up track for that stage.

Anonymous

Oh I would just like to say that maybe I am a little biased towards the C-girls because I am Chinese myself, but I am not just supporting the C-girls just because of nationality, in fact, it is because that they are doing so much better than I thought they will before the show. And I have actually come as a Sone and Cheshire to support Yujin and watch some Tiff content in a while. And as much as I love Xiaoting, she is such an amazing performer and literally star on the stage. Ruiqi for me has overall showcase more stable live and vocal technique, ever since snapping, which I think was one of the most impressive first impression stages. Seeing Ruiqi in this episode really made me sad, cuz where is my confident girl? I mean we know that this is her third audition program and she was so close to debuting last time. Having the experiences I think Ruiqi was very confident at the beginning of the show, yet I think the factor that affects her the most is not only parts switching but also the general dislike from K-netizens and that I think she couldn't really see herself making it to the final line-up and debuting in Korea at this point. (and even she does, it wouldn't be in a good situation anyway) Very similar to Fu Yaning, which I am not a fan of at the beginning of the show (it was quite disrespectful for me) but her vocal tone and facial expressions really caught my eyes in the Mafia performance, and I think she is really quite an all-rounder. However, she lost a lot of her confidence as well and I think she isn't really mentally well because of the hatred she was getting. Not to mention Cai Bing having as PD said no presence in this ep after she knew how much her ranking dropped and in this case Ciabing was no longer focused on MNET cuz she couldn't move for the next round anyway.

Anonymous

My frustration for the Snake team in this episode: 1: the mentors have only listened to how Fu Yaning sang vocal Part 2, while not making her try the high notes in the mid-interim to actually evaluate whether she could hit the notes that the main vocal have. And yes, as PD mentioned, the girls should have test whether Yaning can hit the notes before switching the parts, they should have taken the responsibilities as well. Yet the mentors are supposed to help and the girls choose to just believe the mentors, and they feel the pressure to swap parts quickly. 2: Ruiqi has the Bam Bam Bam part anyway and instead of giving her advice on how she can nail those notes, they just suggest swapping parts?? I don't understand why can't vocal maters actually just gives her some advice on improvements. 3: MNET not showing how Ruiqi did on her high notes in the interim, cuz if she has messed up, they will definitely show it, so she probably did pretty well. 4: Not a fan of Ruiqi yarning cut as well.

Julia

I'm also on the same boat about these performances being such an eye opener.. SHEN XIAOTING !! It's not that I dislike her or didn't see any potential in her, I just felt like everyone liked her cause of her visual (DONT SLASH ME ON THIS, I think she's freaking beautiful also) and I needed more from her on performance wise cause I felt like she could do so much more compared to her previous ones. THIS PERFORMANCE was literally what I was looking for from her; she showed so much charisma that it literally made me go WOWWW so many times.

Anonymous

Me too, I was like she is good but she did excellently in SNAKE, I have watched her snake fancam non-stop, after watching this performance

serenity

I would actually disagree with your thoughts on Youngeun's performance this episode because her vocals made her go viral on twitter and finally got her into TOP9 bc everyone started voting for her (thank god)

Wendalla

The comment about Bahiyyih's facial expression when performing makes so much sense to me now. She is not as expressive with her eyes, or rather in cute/cheerful songs like shoot and ice cream, when she smiles, the smile doesn't carry over into her eyes because she has an intense look. Maybe that's why she stood out more in the MVSK performance than in wa da da, since mvsk is a more intense, darker, moodier song, her intense gaze fit the song better.

sj onmac

Proud stan of Hikaru and Xioating since the beginning. The 3 original centers were chosen for a reason and you see why as the show progresses. Everyone is really good. I still dont understand the hype for Bahiyy. The blank facial expression does not show confidence and she's hardly ever mentioned. But she has a lot of fans who believe in her so that vote will go her way. Edited to add: I cant believe PD dropped Shana and gave Bahiyy a maybe. Like how is that even possible when you talk about talent? I wish people would be honest and admit that Bayihh wouldnt even be in the conversation if she wasn't someone's sister. Im pretty sure if she was eliminated last round, none of the planet masters would have saved her. But PD really talking about Bahiyy's talent among all these trainees who obvs really have talent? And that she's developing quickly? Blows my mind, PD. I dont get it. Bahiyy is winning because of her brother's fans. I would think any adult can see this.

希文 王

Oh god I was actually around when the Yerin/Kai dance choreo thing happened...I think it probably has to do with girl group choreo having a lot of details; boy groups (I think, not all but a lot) have bigger moves and jumps and stuff, and like PD you also noted in Iz*one's Panorama choreo video that their choreo is like doing ninjutsu for three minutes/however long the song is, plus formations and singing and also facial expressions. For Utopia I think the challenge is making the choreo look pretty and not overly energized but also not lazy or slow, for Yeseo and Bora since they've debuted before and have more experience it's easier, Chaehyun hasn't so she's not as used to it (my guesses!

naia

you talking about Youngeun being an all-rounder makes me so happy. despite the fact she made it into kep1er, I always thought she was so underrated throughout the whole show!! she was the most consistent to me from the very beginning and like you said, showed the most variety out of everyone. I honestly thought she would be within at least the top 5 multiple times but that didn't happen.

jessie

it gets me every time you say sawce

I hope we’ll discuss that OOO mission more later. It was such a weird thing, honestly. Girl with the most liked fancam will get something, not even clear what exactly? The way this mission was evaluated, the misterious advantage, the way they separated girls into groups — it was all very suspicious. Not even touching the fact that the winner was extremely obvious for everyone.

Juliana Ferrari

I was rooting (and voting) so much for Shana thoughout the show, despite knowing her chances were very low, but now I'm super happy with the news of her debuting soon! The only girl that seeing her not winning was NOT AN OPTION for me is Youngeun. Oh my god! If she ended up not winning I would cry myself to sleep for a month straight

naia

maybe spend your time doing something other than hating on a 17 year old girl who is harmlessly living her dream ???

Emmy

Shana is confirmed to be debuting with a multinational girl group under MLD (Momoland’s company) in the near future! She’s had some beautiful song covers posted on their YouTube recently, I’d recommend checking it out. I love Shana & will definitely be supporting her. Yoon Ji A has also been posting amazing dance covers on Youtube! Makes me think she will also be debuting in the near future as well. Nothing is confirmed but clearly her company has plans for her. Re: this episode: first of all, I agree with everyone that you should check out the Mcountdown stages and relay dances for the creation mission songs, they’re a lot of fun. Secondly - I do feel so bad for the C group girls, Mnet did them so dirty. Someone actually looked into the voting and found that if they didn’t split the votes 50-50 with Korean & international votes, Yaning and Ruiqi would’ve made the final lineup. I’m so sad they didn’t, I actually voted for Ruiqi (and Mashiro - very glad she made it). I feel like the masters are to blame for the main vocal debacle here. Also Cai Bing getting no screen time made me so sad! She killed it but got no recognition. The evil editing from earlier episodes sealed her fate, which sucks so much. I also agree with your opinion on Wen Zhe - I don’t know if she was totally ready to debut in the final lineup - but god this episode made me so emotionally attached to her! She’s such a dork & I love her! I’d really love to see her continue to perform in Korea, not sure if that’ll happen but god I love her so much. I’m also so sad Bora didn’t make the final! She’s incredible! A gem! Her singing My Sea with Chaehyun - imagine the two of them together in a group! What we could’ve had! Ugh!! She’s also such a fantastic leader - she literally started learning Chinese to help Xing Qiao! She deserves so much better than what her company (FNC I believe?) can offer her. She’s a star. Justice for Bora.

Lisa H

I'm so glad you brought up Jurina!! She was born to be an idol, like you, I loved her nekkoya performance and it honestly moves me. Tbh I lowkey still have the conspiracy theory that she was taken out purposely for sakura...

hi trying to watch it now but is states that the video does not exist
