I LOVE them, they're so good. Definitely one of the best ggs, that debuted this year😌 BTW...PD you probably missed it...but i don't think, you've done a listening party to P1Harmony's recent album yet...could you maybe check that out, since they're gonna have their next comeback soon (january 2022)? The album was sooo good and is definitely worth checking out!!!

I'm so glad you listened to the rest of the EP, the title track is definitely the most unconventional but the rest of the songs are just straight bangers. Billlie does have a ton of lore which is what the title track is referencing! They released a couple of short films before their debut (Billlage of perception part 1 and 2) if you're interested. But you are correct, the lyrics are talking about a girl named Billlie, who is their missing friend. As someone who loves magical realism/surrealism, it's very interesting! Even their new winter single has is part of their universe lol, though i am sorry you got spoiled by youtube about it! To be vague, this EP/music video was recorded with the original six members, and the new member participated in their recent winter single :)

Flipping a Coin is one of my favourite kpop bsides of the whole year! They also performed it on music shows and the choreo is so so good! I saw that the new member got spoiled for you, and I’ll say that while she didn’t do much with them for this promotion cycle (and she isn’t on the album), I’ll tell you what she’s in so you can see once you’re finished Girls Planet. She’s in one performance of Ring X Ring on MBC Show Champ, a choreo vid for Ring X Ring at 1Million Dance Studio, and a choreo vid for Flipping a Coin at 1Million. Plus you also know she’s in Snowy Night.

Yeah they have an interesting lore and it’s sort of a bit similar to Stranger Things if I were to compare it to a story. They have some videos that came out before the ring x ring mv that sort of show you that!

im so glad you loved this album as much as i did! i would honestly say that this album and aespas savage are my top albums of the year. ive gotten very into billlie recently, and i think you would enjoy their live stages for flipping a coin and ringxring !!! theyve also done some really fun variety content on youtube and i think you would enjoy it!!

I think the distorted lines ("Its Alright' , "We'll be fine") are supposed to represent the girls lying to themselves that everything will be okay because they feel guilty that the Billie character is missing.. beyond that there is some weird ritual stuff behind Billie's disappearance that I still dont quite understand...Its weird lore but I like it, havent been this into a group's lore since LOONA lol.

I loved this album and think it’s one of the best and the most unique album of this year. Every track feels different, flipping a coin is straight banger and is my favorite song but i have the most fun listening to The Rumor. It sounds like they are sitting around telling a story. I cannot wait to see what else they come out with and I’m so glad you gave them a chance and loved the album! Also, in my opinion debuting with a mini album is the way to go. I’m invested in this group because of the bsides and don’t need to wait for the next comeback to see if their overall sound is something i like.

Watching the three teaser films Mystic released right before debut will answer a lot of lore questions. They are listed as B11lie trailer, B11lie chapter one, B11lie chapter two. No spoilers for GP999 in them. On the 11th hour of the 11th day before summer end the girls heard a bell ring 11 times and then magic purple rain started to fall. The next day the girls' friend Billlie Love, daughter of Mr. Love, is missing. Everyone looking to the girls for answers. Their secret we hope to learn. The new member was added and then they released the winter prequel single Snowy Night. Words members or company have used Belllie've = Believe = fandom name Billanghae / 빌랑해 = 사랑해 Bizzaria = a pizzeria such as the one that Tsuki and Sua characters are working at Billlendar = calendar

"are we all Billie or we all become Billie", i have no idea but a few of the members have referenced "all the Billies around the world" during radio shows or during an interview on a music stage. I can't tell if they are playing into the lore, or if they were just saying that because they didn't have a fandom name yet.

even though i appreciate good lyrics, most of the time i don't pay active attention to them. the actual music, beats, all the cool sounds they add to a song, how the singers express themselves make more of an impact on me. so yeah, having a group whose music is full of lore is cool with me! it's creative and as long as it sounds good, i have no objections haha

Okay.... I have a theory: Patreon hates long comments sometimes thinking they are spam. And maybe it's also because I constantly edit them to add more thoughts or fix my sentences? I wanna test it out, so sorry everyone - bear with me reposting my (very heartfelt!) comment again, but split up into smaller posts. (here we go) I haven't gotten so deep into a group like this since Weeekly in 2020. Tbh, Billlie is my rookie of the year. I have been following and waiting for (then) Mystic Rookies to debut since late 2019, when Moon Sua joined the company. I originally knew them because of Moonbin of course, but I quickly grew invested in Sua's story. Her 10 year long trainee history with YG, future2ne1, Unpretty Rapstar, etc -- eventho she actually isn't my bias lol (I'm ultimately ot7, but Tsuki and Suhyeon are my girlsss 💕) They were originally supposed to debut in 2020 but then well, Covid happened. But tbh, it worked out for the best in the end.

Initially Ring x Ring (btw, it's pronounced "ring by ring" TXT style) wasn't a sound I was super into at first but I quickly grew to love it. But the album as a whole is so amazing, so cohesive - esp. in the lyrics since pretty much all the songs relate to their lore(in which I join the chorus of people suggesting that you should watch the teaser films). I contend that Everybody's Got a $ecret could have been a worthy debut title track as well - and it works with the cozy/creepy vibe they established with RxR. Since I had to go to work, I'm not done with the listening party yet, but I'll add that Lee Minsu the producer for RxR is actually fairly famous - but more for 2nd gen Kpop. Yes, he is a Mystic producer, but he did a lot of Brown Eyed Girls's songs, Sunny Hill, and a couple big IU tracks.

Billlie has such a great team behind them too! Their overall creative director is Han Jungsu, who was previously GWSN's creative director. He left after their 4th mini album iirc - not confirmed why but I bet because of all the money troubles and weird label shenanigans of Kiwi/MILES/Wave/whatevertheyrecallednow. I see a decent amount of GWSN producers in the credits of Billlie's album(notably lyricist LLANO) so he still works with some of the same crew even now. But obviously with songs tailor made for Billlie. I'm just so excited for their future! Even tho Snowy Night, which is their follow up digital single released for the Christmas season(promoted like a regular comeback), was given SO much thought and care. Mystic said the next comeback with the full 7 members is already in the works too! I expect early next year, maybe February or March.

I love the whole mini album! I know you did already get spoiled (rip) but the new member was not on this album. I would really recommend checking out their predebut trailers because they have to do with their lore! I also am excited for you to check out Snowy Night eventually. :)

In terms of the whole story line it would be amazing for you to react to the short films that acted like teasers before this debut! The entire story line is so highkey insane and it makes the title track make a lot more sense too!

Yeah the reason why i quit listen to pop songs because most of it are just all sexual. And then i listen to kpop at first because i don't understand the lyrics and the song structure suits me well. Then there's day6, that all their music touch me so much especially ZOMBIE.
