honestly, Jongwoo in this ep just read as freaking terrified. Moonjo is waking up parts of him and i think THAT is actually what he's terrified. This is my theory, even having finished the series so no spoilers, just a theory, but I feel Jongwoo has always been prone to violence. He's kinda a judgemental character is the feeling I get from him--and i actually love that? You don't get a character like Jongwoo very often as a main character. I also just find it so funny the differences. Me watching I'm 100% rooting for Moonjo so when you're like "why is this creepy guy following him!" i just have to laugh cuz my thoughts are like "He's not creepy, he's jongwoo's soulmate and he knows it"--meanwhile I don't think Jieun is that good of a girlfriend. Her completely ignoring Jongwoo's feelings in early episodes and now only showing concern when he's turned to violence really bugs the hell out of me. If she had just *listened* and taken him seriously, I feel like things could've been different. I do have thoughts that I can say now since we got that flashback about Kihyuk. I actually read this in a post but I thought it's interesting and very likely. Cuz you guys mentioned in one of the early eps before we really found out what Moonjo's endgame with Jongwoo was, if Jongwoo could maybe be a "replacement" for Kihyuk. I actually think it's the other way around. It's the line that Moonjo says in episode 2; "I knew you were a failure". Moonjo probably knew Kihyuk wouldn't work out in the long-run so he was just a temporary piece of artwork, a sketch that had flaws but couldn't be fixed, meanwhile I think he thinks that Jongwoo i THE one. He's the permanent in place of the temporary that Moonjo used to keep. Now whether or not that pans out... remains to be discovered. Another thing, as far as Seokyoon goes, I've also read a few things there and rewatching it, I almost just think Seokyoon was using it as an excuse? even tho Strangers From Hell isn't a full on BL, it is very clearly got homoerotic undertones to it (and i've HEARD that Moonjo straight up says he loves jongwoo in the webtoon but I don't know if that's true or not) and Seokyoon's attitude around Jongwoo to me just screams young man with a crush. Asked for his charger to say hi, invited him out, got to know him, and rewatching this time, the lines that stuck out to me, and i think it was in ep 7, Seokyoon mentions he can take care of Jongwoo? So I think it was just hinted that Seokyoon is interested (also can i PLEASE mention the rainbow stairs leading up to Eden... that was def a purposeful choice on production's part lol) and then ofc there's Moonjo who clearly can see this. And he's claimed Jongwoo. He shows in this ep just HOW possessive he is of him. he's moving like a possessive boyfriend so I def think he always planned to get at Seokyoon. At this point, I think Moonjo doesn't really care about turning more ppl into murderers, or even the others at Eden, he has Jongwoo and that feels like enough for him. Also I must say, it is VERY Hannibal-esque and that's what drew me to it as my favorite series ever is Hannibal (was happy with the ending but I'm hopeful for another season. cast and crew is all on board, just waiting for someone to pick up). Strangers From Hell is definitely now at the top of my list with Hannibal.

Tbh to me Jongwoo being weird reads as some sort of psychosis? He's so traumatised already by the goshiwon that even in the motel/hotel he's paranoid and like he said in narration, it didn't even matter that he physically got out of there. There's all the exhaustion he must be feeling just in general since to me it seems line he didn't sleep at all the night after he got ambushed by the high schoolers . The guy is really going through it this whole show. Funny thing is, Seokyoon (the kid) immediately takes a liking to the meat that Jongwoo didn't like, and he said to Moonjo that he must be an artist when in episode two Moonjo told his previous "target" that what he does isn't simple murder, but art.

I’m also rooting for moonjo lmao and btw about the webtoon thing, it is confusing because someone said Lee dong Wook’s character is a show created character and that he doesn’t exist in the webtoon but if I remember correctly at the ending credits of episode 10, every character is shown next to the actor side by side and Lee dong Wook also had a character he was playing so at this point idk what’s the truth.
