yuqi has been in china for months, that's why it´s mijoo now (unless the concept is a different idol each season)

Yuqi was scheduled to go to China in march which is why the first season ended. Yuqi was originally supposed to return to Korea in august but I guess because of the Soojin scandal and a lot of opportunities in China, she's currently still there.

I like Mijoo. I may even find her to be quite a charming person, and though I haven’t seen her episodes yet and I’m sure she’ll do well, I really love Yuqi’s energy. I’ll comment more when I get to her season but based on what I know about Mijoo I suspect some possible core differences and that’s why I hope Yuqi comes back.

I´ve been enjoying all the episodes with Mijoo so far, but IMO you´re right, there´s a big difference between Mijoo´s and Yuqi´s approach to the show. Personally I hope that when Yuqi gets back that there is at least one episode where both of them host and compete with each other - that would be epic

Tbh if there was ANYONE who could match up to Yuqi it would be Mijoo. That being said yea their styles are definitely different. Mijoo has done great so far tho. Still very much looking forward to Yuqi coming back. Like the comment above said I really hope they do atleast a few episodes together next season!

Also because of the ongoing pandemic situation. Things were looking good in March, but then delta hit the world and everything's a mess. It's probably the best if Yuqi returns to SK when its vaccination rate hits 70% or 80%. That will be in November or December. That will be the perfect time for her to join the group, because gidle will be able to perform in front of a LIVE audience for their next comeback.
