Wow, watching this show back is insane. I remember when this first aired I would watch with my sister and friend and we would literally fight so much because all of us had different opinions on who the murderer was. It's insane because in one episode you'd be so sure it's a certain person and then in the next episode some intricate storyline would be revealed that points to a different person. It's fun watching you guys' reactions lol

I also find it funny how in every episode PD claims a favourite character and then they just go on and disappoint him the next episode haha. All these characters have big flaws but you grow to love the drama they bring even though they're huge assholes. After watching three seasons of this I have to say that Seojin, Dr. Ha and Eunbyul have all become my favs even though they're terrible people. Like I wish for everyone's demise including them lmao

this is the curse of penthouse, you can't help but to watch the other episode immediately after.... and without realizing you're on Season 3 already LMAO the writers are crazy,,, and the layers of the story are only just getting started

Have never seen the show and honestly prob wouldn't if not for you guys, but I'm sooo rooting for Seol Ah's mom... Su Ryeon? But I'm worried the show will like, reveal her to be like an evil bitch later or something. Literally her (and Seol Ah pre-death) were the only likable ppl on the show for me so far. Even the underdogs... I found Ro Na to be really really typical self-entitled (like, normal, not psychotic) teenager who's actually pretty rude and mean to her mom bc she grew up confident in her mom's love for her. She was quite annoying. Ro Na's mom... honestly was pretty ridiculous too. She had a huuuge stick up her ass about the "best voice" thing even before her final competition and the drama with the throat slashing. She was... clearly set up to be a protagonist but I just didn't really like the underdogs either. The ONLY ppl I'd even care to spend time with were Su Ryeon and Seol Ah. And honestly so far, even though I PERSONALLY suspect Eun Byul (hot bitch's daughter) to be the killer, I actually don't hate her out of all the kids. I think she's quite traumatized. She has an absentee father and a crazy mother who screams at her for always being wrong and useless and lacking. She doesn't have a brother to stand up for her (like the twins -- they at least had each other). She's honestly a nerve wreck and frankly looks like she's about to lose it. But she legit feels like a direct product of her upbringing. The twin sister you can argue maybe turned into satan's spawn bc of her upbringing, but Eun Byul... honestly is a twitching nerve about to lose it. She's scared alll the time. She's a nervous wreck and I actually feel really bad for her, even if she's the killer.

Eun Byul literally has no sense of self worth or esteem, it feels like. Like the twin sister is also abused (if not physically bc of her brother's protection, def mentally/emotionally), but she's got it hammered into her that she's better than everyone else. That she's fucking Ju Dan Tae's daughter and she's got gold in her veins (she just "doesn't listen"). Eun Byul has basically been fed "wow you're my daughter but why do you fucking suck so much -- I'm going to get you into your school bc I can but wow you're incapable of it yourself". I honestly think she'll NEVER be good at singing NOT bc of lack of talent but bc at this point singing is like a freaking trigger for her. She's terrified, frankly.

Fun fact, the actress playing Eunbyeol (hot singer and doctor’s daughter) has only acted in 1 or 2 minor roles before! it’s basically her first lead role and she’s so great. I honestly feel for her even though I’m sure most people hate her. the scenes where she was singing and her mom was scolding her really resonated with me as someone who grew up as an only child in a household of toxic parents. i can just tell that her mental health is fucked up so even tho i hate her behavior, i dont really hate her lol
