For the stuff on the phone, isn't is "just" AR (Augmented Reality) ? For what I know it's not really common on the album cover but it's quite a popular form for photocards. It exist around 2019 or something like that : you scan the photocard and the idol move. From what I know some album like Exo or Blackpink will show an MV if you scan them too but I don't remember an album being having an AR animation like this one yet (in kpop I mean ^^)

Hip Hop team had a lot of vocal parts in this album and it was absolutely amazing! I've always had a soft spot for Mingyu's vocals, and I feel like Vernon was able to show how much his vocals has improved through this album. I was so happy to hear him sing more! Also really cannot wait for you to get to Bittersweet, Wonwoo and Mingyu sound amazing in that!! And yes to the comments above - live stage for Anyone is so good!

I attributed it to Enhypen being young as it's faster to improve when you're young but you may be right! Now that I hear Seventeen's improvements, it might be the HYBE team.

It's actually not AR. So where as VR you put on a headset right? It takes you to a "virtual reality" a reality that's 100% a synthetic space. AR is Augmented Reality which means it TURNS real life physical things into animated property. An example of AR would be Pokemon Go, how Pokemon appear in our "real world".

I believe you were talking about Don’t Listen In Secret from their Going Seventeen album. It’s one of my few faves from the VU too since I’m not the biggest fan of their ballads. Plus, the only reason it grew on me was because of the Vampire themed version of Dont Listen In Secret from Diamond Edge

Not sure why PD's surprised by the rap ling getting more vocal parts...? I've been a fan since debut, too, and I can't imagine I watch more SVT content than PD, but I'm fully aware that they're great singers & it seems natural that they don't rap all the time. "Some groups don't get a full studio album til year 4 or 5." *COUGHYoumeanlikeNCTDream?COUGH* Is it just me, or would Gam3 Bo1 sound totally at home on a Ravi album?? I had that thought the very first time I heard it; if you just switched the voices & told me Ravi made the song, I'd 100% believe it. Boyz II Men would be so proud of SDSMSN. 😄 Also: SDSMSN Dreams Come True 🤝

I've had Anyone on repeat the most out of all the songs on the album. The performances too!! Idk what it is but something about shua's opening line and the line right before the chorus hits (mingyu/wonwoo/jun's line) just pulled me in and won't let me go 😂

I think that in contrast to the title track not being a typical seventeen/woozi produced sound, the rest of the album fully makes up for it. The rest of the album has the sounds and fingerprints of woozi and the usual production team, especially Heaven's Cloud imo. Like, the song just sounds like rose quartz and serenity ya know? Also for everyone in the comments saying that PD is always so surprised by rap line vocals, to me it came off more as them being surprised about the techniques that they were executing on the tracks rather than just their vocal sound/quality. They were doing runs and parts that normally the vocal team gets so like yeah it is surprising and wonderful to hear! Btw once u got to the vocal unit song, it hit me that it sounds a lot like TxT's updated version of Fairy of Shampoo, same late 80's/early 90's pop and r&b vibes. And tbh after watching both this and the TxT listening parties, @ HYBE give us the collab of the decade pls!!!! For this album, Heaven's Cloud and Anyone are my top 2 picks but this whole album is so strong and well constructed that I can listen to it on repeat (and I have lmao).

Thank you for this!!! I was waiting for it xD I’m surprised that you liked GAM3 BO1 that much, I really struggled to enjoy the way their voices were “modified” in that track. When it comes to my favorite I would say it’s Anyone, there’s something emo and dark about it that I like a lot, specially on the pre-chorus section (that Wonwoo part omg!!! his voice is perfect for it)

PD, this was straight serotonin to my brain 😁, thanks for posting. I’m living for the Gam3 Boi love. It’s not my favorite, since I’m already struggling to choose between Anyone and Wave for that spot haha, but Gam3 Boi is up there as well. I agree with you so much that this album must have been a huge learning experience and all songs are 10s or 9s for me, Ready to love deserved less slander. Also, what you said about Anyone being a great song to do in English, they played the guide/demo version in a fansign, and it was all Woozi, and all English as well, and it sounded freaking good 🤌

My rankings match yours almost exactly, just switch Anyone and Heaven’s Cloud lol. I’ve been getting into Seventeen more and more lately, I’m currently watching Going Seventeen through your reactions and trying to learn more about all the members and stuff. I loved this entire album and although I haven’t listened to their older stuff as much I can still see that all of them as a group have changed and improved in many ways with this album! Thank you for the listening party, I always appreciate hearing your thoughts and insights on everything 🥰

You're not crazy, PD. What you were talking about with the songs not sounding like sub-unit songs - for me, my experience listening to this album for the first time was feeling super overwhelmed because each song literally sounded like its own masterpiece and that they could each all stand on their own... to the point where I had to process each song separately and had a really hard time listening to the whole album straight through lol. They really put so much effort and care into each song to make it something that could totally be promoted on its own like a full group song!! And the way that the members all use their voice in new and different ways on every single one of the songs too is so impressive. Like in addition to the ones you already mentioned in the reaction, Anyone's second pre-chorus and chorus is carried by The8, Dino, Wonwoo, Jun, Vernon - all members that used to not get a lot of lines or only get a specific type of line because they were relatively weak singers. And Vernon and The8 both shifting between real voice/belting and falsettos in Anyone and Wave is something neither of them have tried before, Joshua's high note in Same x3, the way Jeonghan uses his voice in Anyone and Same x3, Cheol's rapping in Heaven's Cloud, Ready to Love, AND Gam3 Bo1 are all different from how he's rapped before in albums... It's just so crazy how much they've grown even in just this past year and this album really shows it. Thank you for this reaction and the care you put into noticing all of these little things :))

it doesn't even matter if a seventeen title track is a hit or miss to some people, their bsides are always on another level, seventeen always comes ready to play
