Ya I honestly felt like that by these last performances and the last couple of eps, many of the groups just kind of stopped caring about who wins. Ateez I really think wanted to show more about who they are as people rather than being flashy and going all out just for the win. I think many of the groups came to realize that the results are basically already decided simply based on the fandom sizes, and Ateez I think just decided to enjoy it rather than put more pressure on themselves, especially because of the things they were going through at that time too with all the hate, Mingis absence, sans grandfather dying. Totally respect it and I think I loved them more for it. I hope all the groups know though that they deserved more than the rankings and messed up voting system, and know their worth. I think Ateez def deserved to be 1 or 2 though, right up there with SKZ.

I really enjoyed all 6 performances but BTOB and Sf9 really stood out to me here. Espacially BTOB's performance still gives me chills everytime I see it, it just feels so much like a finale song i love it. Going into Kingdom I knew everyone from every group except half of the members of the boyz and I was also familiar with the title tracks of every group. I'm glad i got to know the rest of the boyz and also the group interactions were so amazing. I rooted for Sf9 since the beginning and i'm really proud of how they improved from every stage they did. P.s. I hope you check out sf9's bsides soon PD cause they are incredible👀

Malaki.H

I got to know sf9 and ikon through this show and I fell in love with them

Deniz Ak

Alright, my favourites are: - shadow - midnight road - go back in time - play hard - see you tomorrow - round and round - unlimited - photograph - scold I'm guessing thats what you meant with "Tell me" ^^ I really hope you enjoy them as much as i do and I really enjoy your reactions, love from Germany <3

Deniz Ak

Yeah Ikr, im so happy so many people got to know them through kingdom

Anonymous

I love how they get to interact and make friends through kingdom, esp SKZ X BTOB they are so cute!! Heard that most of the skz members have went to Minhyuk house to play?? Also I think I fell in love with Ateez

St4rkill3r

btw the final ranking for all groups was Skz Tbz Ateez Btob Ikon SF9 they flashed it for like 2 seconds at the end lol I really enjoyed all the performances. If i had to go with most enjoyable it would be ateez, most spectacular probably skz or tbz. Every perforance had it´s highlight tbh.

Like a said on the part 1 post, I fell in love with SF9, I only knew Good guy and this was a nice journey for me to get to know them, this happened to me with RTK that I got to know ONF and now I love them, so that’s why even if I hated parts of the shows or how mnet does things, I’m still glad these kind of shows exist so I can keep finding new groups. For the rest of the groups, I already knew them and liked them but I have to say I rooted for BTOB because for me they gave such a memorables performances and just small moments that I laughed out loud and that made the show even more enjoyable. I still can’t get over their Back Door performance.

Sandy Cai

What a journey this was!! Amazing watching this with you PD. I felt really emotional on this final episode too.

Maureen

I watched Kingdom for SF9, and I fell in love with iKON. From the beginning for me it was obvious that in the end Stray Kids would win. And I'm glad that SF9 got the opportunity to learn and show people what they can do, especially since we never see them perform at the end of the year award shows. And also to remind people that they are singers and not just actors. And my favorite performance were SF9, BtoB and iKON. And I just loved seeing all the interactions between all the groups. And I kinda want a reality show with iKON and SF9. I can't wait for SF9's comeback who will be in the beginning of July, because it's been almost a year, since their last one, and the guys told us that they've been working on it since way before kingdom began, so the expectations are high.

Final Rankings: STRAY KIDS THE BOYZ ATEEZ BTOB IKON SF9

Iris

i think out of all the performances for this finale, i really loved the boyz’s , sf9’s & ateez’s. they were fucking amazing.

Anastasija

Im so proud of Stray Kids and I'm glad they won! But at the end of the day i'm just happy that i got to watch these 6 amazing groups show us their amazing skills but most importantly be able to see them come together and witness the beautiful bond they developed with one another, now THAT personally was the highlight of the show for me. if you wanted to know the final ranking for the show it was: 1. Stray Kids 2. The Boyz 3. Ateez 4. Btob 5. iKON 6. SF9 The one other thing i'm grateful for about this show is it reignited my love for Btob! They were the first kpop group I ever listened to but I fell out of touch, but now i've fallen so deep into the black hole of Btob music and content I can't get out so I guess i'm a fully fledged Melody now haha.

Honestly... the finale of Kingdom's made me realize how tired I am of the same dark intense performances by bgs LMAO so ig there's that bias in my rankings for the final songs because to me a finale should feel like a wrap up or an ending rather than JUST a "let's go all out spectacle-wise" With that being said the only performances that felt like a finale to me were by ATEEZ and BTOB. I feel like it's obvious why BTOB is there, very emotional felt like a perfect wrap up to our journey and imo that's the feeling we needed for the last performance. OR 2nd they should've gone 2nd last because ATEEZ came out with an encore!! Okay when I first watched the ep live the hype it gave kinda died down after watching the rest of the performances so I was very iffy about it. Then when I rewatched all of them... wow just wow it's so much fun no kingdom stage was this much fun and that's when I realized this is literally what I want as kingdom's encore THEY SHOULD'VE PERFORMED LAST THEY WERE ROBBED... (ahem) anyways yeah I can't chose between the two I don't really want to rank the rest of the performances they all had things I liked and things I was eh about. SKZ: Yeah they definitely went all out with the performance and it was very cool but overall the stage felt messy (reminded me of round 1's direction) and... whole time I was just thinking "wow this is so LOUD" which ig is a plus or negative to different people. TBZ: Okay I'm just confused as to why they wouldn't use this heavy use of pre-filmed for the round called NO LIMIT? I think the way they integrated it with their performance was amazing n everything but I feel like that's something that fit the previous round better. iKON again it's iKON yeah scale was small but I enjoyed it it's just a fun iKON stage. SF9 okay first of all, some parts of this performance felt like we were in an mv and that was amazing, though overall some parts felt restricted and... again like I said in the beginning I'm kind of bored of these "safe" stereotypical performances. Imo Kingdom is not only a show to just go all out but to show different sides of you as a group, as a performer. And a lot of groups did try doing that, but if you remember in the beginning a lot of them tried too hard doing something different and the beginning of the show was very iffy. What they were missing was that ur not supposed to show something different like "Hey we can do this too!" instead it's supposed to be "Hey this is another part of us. THIS is who WE are, and we have many different sides that define us that we can show off." It's not just oh we need to do something new, it's this is something that also represents us! With that all being said, I truly believe ATEEZ is the winner of Kingdom. I am genuinely shocked by what they showed us these past few months. I don't wanna type in my whole story in here (I say this after writing a whole essay) but basically for the past 2 years I've been hearing people group ATEEZ in a bubble about how they just do standard noisy edm which is why I myself just didnt bother checking them out until MAMA this year. AND OH MY GOD GUYS ITS RIDICULOUS they are such a versatile group I can't believe people have been stereotyping them without even actually bothering to look into them?? I am such a sucker for incorporating classical pieces in kpop and I can't believe the group that gave me that was ATEEZ!! I have never been more amazed by a group which is crazy considering they only have 2 years of experience. They are the only group that came onto kingdom knowing EXACTLY what they wanted to do. They are not grounded by being stuck to a specific image instead they are performers they PERFORM and they manage to deliver whatever they're given and somehow make it "ATEEZ"??? I don't get how they do it but wow just wow I don't think I've ever felt this strongly for a group since... VIXX (please come back) but yeah thanks kingdom for showcasing ATEEZ's talents like this

Catrin

Before Kingdom I didn't really know anything about BtoB, SF9 or iKON. I now have songs from all 3 groups on my playlist and I'm now a huge fan of iKON and am working my way through their predebut survival shows. I can't wait to rewatch iKON TV with you in July! As frustrating as Kingdom has been, and even though I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as RTK, I'm still really grateful that it introduced me to some great groups I may not have listened to otherwise.

Mai B

During kingdom, I fell in love with all of the groups, especially ATEEZ and BTOB. I already love the boyz and stray kids and I wasn’t familiar with the rest beyond having heard a couple of their songs. Im a little bit in love with wooyoung he’s a perfect combination of funny and weird and cute. Generally just so impressed with ATEEZ and their creativity. I was really happy to see SF9 blossoming and improving so much. They’re amazing performers and they seemed to have gained a stronger confidence during the show. Ikon’s music hasn’t spoken that much to me before but I really appreciated seeing their passion for performing and I gained a lot of respect for them. I’m proud of stray kids for staying strong and performing well when they suddenly couldn’t have hyunjin perform with them. They really perfected the way to make a performance as feral and powerful and raw without it being messy. I already knew that Seungmin could *sing* but I was blown away by his abilities anyways. The boyz did well despite the enormous pressure that they felt after rtk. I’m proud of them for pushing that pressure aside and just focusing on being proud of themselves regardless of the results. My mouth dropped open in shock so many times during these performances, they all put on a overwhelmingly fantastic show. Im a little sad that it’s all over because it feels like they just started interacting properly and I want to watch more of it.

rockthekazb0t

I'll put my overall thoughts later, as I am at work lol. But I wanna comment on something interesting - a Stay account has been doing analytics for the Kingdom points/ranking of the whole run of the show and while who knows how accurate they really are, I saw a chart that was pretty interesting - the overall final rankings WITHOUT the fan influence(votes and video views), only the experts and self evaluations: https://twitter.com/StayAnalytics/status/1400484763455082496?s=19 The jump up for BTOB from 4th to 2nd, jeez. But in the end it still showed Stray Kids would have won, but at a smaller margin. Edit to add: I will forever be bitter BTOB didn't get to perform last. 😅

BaoziBang

Right? How come the biggest Sunbae who's song is literally called FINALE, didn't perform last?!

Alex Lee

Aside from tbz, my babies, completely fall in love with sf9. I think this group really made the biggest progress throughout the show. Like every performance was a huge step better than previous one. And Hwiyoung, man, there's no need to be this attractive.. And big respect to iKON. Really admire them. Personally have love-hate relationship with their discography lol But their personalities are so attractive and relatable to me. And ofc tbz. Really proud of them. 14 amazing stages. Really happy "kingdom come" gets good results even after show. As boyz themselves hope no more survival shows just enjoy music in future lol Big love and respect to btob, skz, atz. Excited for all groups' next comeback. I hope everyone will get attention they deserve. As for finale, love sf9' and tbz' s performances. Hugely because I like their songs more. But also creativity and dynamics of it was amazing

anejelly

This has been a journey. I started watching the show for iKON but I became an Atiny and Fantasy along the way. For the finale without unbiased opinion I really loved TBZ and SF9's song which is probably why I enjoyed their stage a little bit more but anyways whether it was Stray Kids who won or any of the other group I would still be very happy. All the groups work so hard so I think they all deserve the recognition.

Brooklyn

As an ATINY I’m personally glad ATEEZ put on the kinds of performances they did for the last two episodes. I can understand why to some people it seemed like they didn’t go all out, but I see it differently. I see it as them finally doing performances for themselves. ATEEZ are naturally super competitive and I could kind of feel at the beginning of the show that they were stressed and worried about other people, especially with how the fan voting worked (since all the other fandoms intentionally largely left ATEEZ out of the voting strategies to lower their place - we have the second most amount of acc’s on the voting app in reality). But at the end I think they finally kind of accepted the results of the show since I think it was quite clear from the beginning who the winner would be and that ATEEZ probably wouldn’t have been it. And that could sound bad, but to me what resulted was a performance that felt light-hearted, spirited, fun, and like ATEEZ were truly truly enjoying themselves and showing the world and the other groups what their style is. I mean at the end the banners had all the groups on them and a message that basically invited them all to get beef together lol. Also, I am extra proud of San for performing so well, as he dealt with a loss in his family less than a week before the finale. I am also really pleased and kind of surprised ATEEZ ended up getting 3rd overall, and after the show The Real and ATEEZ themselves keep trending on Naver in higher places than they’ve ever trended before the show. They are getting what they came for, which is SK recognition, and I think they are only gonna go up from here. Also, if you enjoyed The Real on the show, go listen to the studio version! They recorded it before Kingdom and Mingi’s hiatus, so Mingi is in the studio version! Also, idk if you caught it but the backing track to The Real was the sound bit that was teased at the end of the Fireworks MV! Overall, I am not at all surprised by the final rankings, and I am happy for SKZ to have won! I am glad this show is over though - the show took itself far too seriously and thus most of the fandoms did as well which just resulted in the show being stressful instead of fun for the most part.

Sakura

I knew all the groups before Kingdom, but this show made me appreciate them a lot more. I must say, this show was really emotionally exhausting for me. The perfromances and interactions made all worth it but every time the voting system came up I felt so angry. I still think it was utterly unfair, especially for 3rd gen groups since their fanbase is not use to mass voting like the zzz groups fandoms may (let it be noticed I am a zzz group stan so don't come for my neck). ANYWAY, as PDnim said, every group got what they wanted form the show and we are left with LEGENDARY stages. At the end of the day, thankful to see these groups showcase their talents and make new friends so they can support each other in the future.

Mariam Toffey

I don't even think the rankings matter. After a while I think these groups were only interested in the experience and exposure. I found a new love for Ateez and BTOB by watching the show.

Holly

i hated this show but loved it at the same time and also got weirdly emotional at the end lol.. congrats to stray kids for the well deserved win! but honestly i will definitely be checking out comebacks from all of these groups in the future, so excited to see where their journey goes from here! they’ve all grown so much and i hope that we can possibly get some post-kingdom interactions too :) it’s been a wild ride watching this with you PD! i loved hearing your opinion and getting to know some new groups alongside you with their personal content as well on this show. thanks for putting out these reactions :D

Doyoungismyult

I read that the Boyz did vcr for some parts because it was filmed prior to members getting injured

Anonymous

I don't think anyone is suprised that stray kids won, i think that was kinda obvious the moment they announced who was gonna participate. but even tho I was rooting for ateez, I am not mad. Stray kids lived up to the standards and they 100% deserved it (not saying that anyone wouldnt deserve it but yk what I mean) They earned that prize and I'm really proud of them. Talking about ateez tho, I think in the last two performances they turned it down and performed once for Atiny and once to just have fun. And ngl I personally felt like ateez were the only ones who genuinely had fun in the last performance. I really sincerely wish that all the members that were missing or couldn't perform , could've been there. Hyunjin, Mingi, Younghoon for a large part sadly, the missing btob members that I forgot the name of. I think that would've been really cool with them. Kingdom in general was exhausting and frustrating but I am so glad that it happened anyways, solely because of the amazing performances and the interaction. Mnet can't and won't make a show that's not about competition and everyone is your enemy but I'm glad that the contestants managed to still make friends. Especially the mayfly team is just very precious to me. Overall there are always things you can improve on and let's be honest, we all knew that mnet is a snake.

K

i really came into kingdom for stray kids but i have a newfound love for sf9 and btob!! i thought i'd dislike the show a lot because of the whole Competition aspect but it didn't feel as intense because the groups were becoming friends or were already friends. growth was so clear throughout the show and im really really proud of that for all groups

LoLo

I only knew Stray Kids and Ateez before watching this show but I'm so happy to have 4 new groups that I know the members of now and can love and support! I really really connected with BTOB and iKON, though I'm super proud of every group - they all worked so hard and grew so much. It's weird that it's all over now but I can't wait to see what each group does in the future!

Anonymous

I was a casual listener of iKon and Btob coming into Kingdom and didn't know much about the newer groups. Everyone grew on me so fast and so quickly, now I've got so many new songs on my playlist! Just like the person above, I ended up rooting so hard for Btob and their journey, as a baby melody, very looking forward to their "2nd chapter" like Minhyuk said. Hoping you can react to their reality shows! Also all 6 groups have released behind the scenes footage/practice videos for their Kingdom performances, so that could be fun as well!

Samantha

I'll post my long ass essay breakdown on this part since it'll be after all the performances and results and whatnot. Okay so here we are, at the end of Kingdom! So sad it's over in terms of your reactions PD and for the great stages we got to see BUT so so so relieved it's done for everyone involved in the shows because damn they all worked hard! From the groups performing on stage to all the behind the stage workers, this one was a hard one. Here's my last essay on this show but I'm excited to see you pick up Imitation later on in the month! Tbh I've been enjoying it a lot so far so I'm excited to see what you and the comments have to say about it! ^_^ Performances: Ateez: (I want to preface this one by saying San is such a strong man because he just lost one of the most important people in his life, his grandfather who practically raised him in his childhood. I just hope he has time to rest and mourn properly now that this is all done.) oh my boys did such a great job for a final stage! They stuck to their own color (which thankfully all of the groups did for this round as well!) and portrayed S.Korea along with their own personal colors as each member had their time at center stage. I love the fact that their main motif was a Korean proverb that they kept at the center of both the lyrics and their actual presentation on stage. Also, the way they just basically said "fuck it, friendship first!" for this performance really warmed my heart 🥰. A few other ppl have commented or just sad in passing about whether or not the groups will do full comebacks with these songs. I'm really interested to see how many of these groups make these songs/performances into actual comebacks because I could see the threads of Ateez's universe in the stage so I have an inkling that this may become at least an official mv at some point, a bit like what Oneus did with their final rtk song. All in all, I felt like they created a fantastic final stage that showcased themselves as performers, showing what they can do as a group along with a finale feel! Overall, 9/10 for me ! Stray Kids: Random thing before I comment on the stage, Changbin having the same shoes as me at the arcade but me being 6ft in them vs him being about my normal height in them makes me wanna just hug him to my heart so hard!!! On to the stage/song: I'm gonna be honest, not my fave skz track. It was a bit to repetitive of a song for me and the concept itself is just not really my thing??? (can u tell I'm a vampire person over werewolves lmaooooooooo the middle school twilight in me just jumped out) Still, this was a fantastic stage!!! I was not really feeling the chorus of just shouting "wolfgang" over and over again, it felt boring to me. On top of that tho, the raps were so much more apparent and made the song a way better stage because their color was stronger and had more thought to it rather than just a powerful choreo section. I think my favorite part of the stage was the diagonal trampolines, I kind of wished they'd been used more! Also, Mr. Bang Chan what the fuck actually. The audacity in men I swear! 😂😳😂 Also, this didn't really feel like a finale stage to me, more so a second round kind of stage, one that wasn't the initial performance but also feels like it needs a continuation of some kind. Overall, this was a 7.5/10 for me. The Boyz: IM SO PROUD OF THEM!!!! Okay now that I got that scream out of me lol, it really is true tho. This stage really felt like a culmination of everything they've been through with rtk, the stealer cb in between the 2 shows, and kingdom itself. I'm fully in love with this song and I defs enjoyed it and this stage more than Checkmate which really did not feel like a finale song to me. I guess in a way that worked out but Kingdom Come really is one of my fave tbz songs now. (og no air stays on top tho!) This stage was just, ah I can't say enough good things about it!!! Artistic, powerful, and yet somehow soft at times. If I had to describe it as anything, I'd call it the end of Act 1 of a musical kind of song. Sangyeon really is pushing his way up my tbz bias list, we'll see if he can overtake Sunwoo or New but for now I doubt it lol. Still, that man for this stage just 😍😍😍😍!!!! The move with Jacob controlling him along with his high note made him just stand out so well. Not to mention Q FINALLY getting his time to shine as their main dancer this stage. Ugh, that choreo where he's center controlling them all, stunning! The only thing I'd say this stage was lacking in was that I actually did not enjoy the vcr cuts. I felt like they pulled me out of the stage and were too polished for a live stage. I wasn't a fan. They were edited and executed well but I just didn't feel like they had a place here. Overall, I gotta give this stage 9/10 for sure! Btob: During this entire performance all I could do was smile so wide and it didn't change rewatching it here with your reaction PD! God, they really just went up there and showed how a 10 year group can fully create a stage and execute it perfectly. It fully felt like a concert that we all just attended and I'm sure the other groups felt that way as well! I would kill for this to be a full comeback, I want to see a mv, live stages at music shows, interviews on it, the whole 9 yards!!! This a triumphant song, that was what it felt like. Overall, I gotta give this one a 9/10 as well. Would have been a 10/10 with just a bit more choreo for me but I understand it's a Btob stage so like I get it! 😊 iKon: I really enjoyed the balance to this stage. While this song isn't really my thing, I have to admit it has a very effective chorus! It really made me pay attention to the contrasts that they all put on stage for this performance. All in all, Kingdom really proved that iKon CANNOT lipsync to save their lives lmaooooooo. It made me really appreciate iKon as performers rather than just a kpop group that leans hiphop more often than not. The other thing I really liked about this stage was that iKon kept up with not only their signature sound, but also their signature performance where they go free for a section of the stage. The way they manage to make their performances feel a bit more like a party or a concert each time really makes me enjoy them more than I typically would because iKon's sound is just not my thing. The one thing I do have to say tho is that this finale stage felt a little bit more chaotic than usual for them so I have to wonder if they did that on purpose with their song choice or if they were just a more keyed up with it being a live finale. Overall, 8/10 for this one! SF9: Okay the staging for this tho!!!!! The use of the hallway/arch along with the choreo really sold me on this. Again, I need their stylist to make me some clothes because god damn those tailored fits!!!! I super enjoyed this stage, I love how almost eerie the song is paired with the graceful choreo that they executed so well. My main point of interest for this performance was definitely Chani and Taeyang's individual choreo moments. I really hope that more ppl came out of Kingdom appreciating SF9 as a performance group because they really are so strong with their complete stages and choreos. I did feel that the chorus got a bit repetitive with this song much like skz, but it was a bit less obvious because it was a softer vocal moment that was repeated so it wasn't as jarring to me. Overall, I'd give this performance a 8.5/10. Personal Final Ranking for this Round Only: 1. The Boyz 2. Ateez 3. Btob 4.SF9 5. Stray Kids/iKon Of course as Ateez are my ults (along with Monsta X and Seventeen bc I'm a major multi stan), I wanted them to win it all but by the end I'm just happy that all 6 teams were getting a chance to explore and grow on stage. It was quite a journey from beginning to end! And if we go back the whole way to the start of Road to Kingdom it's been even longer! All in all, I did enjoy both shows even when I was ready to burn down mnet for their shady shit on the side. By the end of Kingdom my top 3 performances were: Ateez Wonderland, Stray Kids God's Menu/Du-du-du-du-du, and then The Boyz Kingdom Come. (Btob's Back Door is up there as well!) My final thoughts are that I hope mnet never uses whosfan for global voting ever again that piece of shit app is a mess that needs way more server space if they want to continue using it. Love love love the reactions to competition shows PD! Can't wait to see future videos/reactions (or if you'll pick up some older competitions shows like Produce or something) you post next! 💖

So I spent a portion of watching the live finale making a spreadsheet since I’m a nerd 😂 I knew they had already given us the numbers(minus the last 30,000 from live fan votes) so I wanted to see the totals and what the gaps would be like. Here was the rank I calculated(again without the 30,000 from live votes): 1) StrayKids 25574.677 2) BtoB 17607.168 3) TheBoyz 17403.385 4) ATEEZ 17226.908 5) iKON 11922.180 6) SF9 11265.681 Basically I wanted to know if it was mathematically possible for anyone else to win besides StrayKids after they showed the points from the chart ranking and with an ~8000 point lead and a large fan base obviously they were going to win. They put on amazing performances so deserved! It was kind of weird how they’d give us so much data but not show it nice and organized. Which is kind of understandable actually because it’d be too easy to predict. Like if they constantly only showed the overall total like they did on road to kingdom it would be obvious that StrayKids always had a lead(like TheBoyz on RTK). And I think that was one of the criticisms of RTK. So they gave us more data this time but manipulated how they showed it to bring more light to the other groups. I actually preferred this more than RTK so we could focus on the merits of each group for that individual round and not so much on the overall total. Also they constantly had to break up how they revealed the scores because fans couldn’t vote until they saw the performances(RTK they used a tiny amount of fans who watched it live like the experts on Kingdom so they could reveal the full ranking that day of filming). I like the way Kingdom did it better by including more fans and experts to evaluate. I think where they went wrong was the weight/percentage of points distributed for these categories. I would have preferred thirds. So fan votes would have been worth only 22% of the score for that round, views 11%(so fan category is 33% total), self group evaluation 33% and expert evaluation 33%. Anyone else agree or did I fall too far into my maths?

I initially started watching Kingdom because I'm ATINY but I totally and completely fell in love with iKON these past few months. I mean, how can you not love Bobby? The man smiles in every single performance he does and looks like he is having the time of his life. It is beyond endearing. And now getting to know their discography (the rock remix live version of Rhythm Ta is my official hype song) and other content I am HOOKED. When do we get a Hong Joong Bobby collab??

JustCakie

It’s hard to get anything out there on Twitter so if there’s any Atiny and Melody chillin in these comments I want you guys to know you especially deserve a chunk of congrats. That mayfly round lifted stray kids spirit so much and I think the energy and confidence they got from that really helped them nail those last few performances. I’m really grateful to Ateez and BTOB for being such talented, supportive and kind teammates and I’ll be supporting all these groups post kingdom. Oh and also of their final original songs I thought Ikons was the coolest. That little fake slap in the chorus is so badass I loved their final performance the most

Amanda Araujo

i think Stray Kids were the most spectacular performance too so i wasnt even surprised they got 1st and also the fact that they got the bigger international fandom, but for me personally my favorite performances were SF9, BTOB and iKON the others i cant really rank it as well because they were great but these 3 were the most enjoyable on a personal level for me and yeah at this point the ranks and points dont even mattered anymore as long as they were happy with it and i think even for them they werent really caring for it anymore, im just happy everyone made friends, learned something from it and are now free

SanjA1800

Gosh this final round was soo emotional. When I started watching Kingdom I was only here for SKZ and BTOB and now I'm emotionally attached to all the teams (learnt everybody's names and checked out some of the other teams songs). In the end, I felt like all the teams themselves were done with the ranking and points and just wanted to enjoy the stage. Maybe that's why Ateez decided to dial it down a bit for the finale. Their stage was just a big party, the outfits, the part where Hongjoong and Wooyoung were having fun with Skz and Btob etc. There were plenty of fanwars on twitter and trying to figure out the voting/ ranking gave me a headache but away from all that crap I had fun. The round where they got to perform other groups songs (Btob performing a Skz song and vice versa ohhh my fangirl heart), the sports day, unit stages and all that if you take away the ranking aspect of it all the stages were super fun. Plus the interactions we got. It was fun seeing them become less awkward with each other, become friends and drop the formalties. A lot of the members have done vlives where they reacted to other groups performances and spoke warmly of each other (Apparently Skz have been treating Minhyuk's house as their second dorm, according to Minhyuk they go alternatively in groups.... I swear their name Stray Kids suits them so much lol) plus Felix baked around 200 cookies to share with everyone on Kingdom. Regardless of who won all the groups got something out of Kingdom - friendship, exposure, a chance to hone their skills etc and that's all that matters. I'll be eagerly waiting for comebacks from all these groups now that they're finally done with the 'legendary war'.

I think the groups that left the biggest impact on me were SF9 and The Boyz. I was really shocked by SF9's stages each week both musically and visually. This goes for The Boyz as well. What these two groups did for me compared to the others is the music for their stages. While ATEEZ and Stray Kids performances were great and a huge spectacle, it didn't really match my personal taste song wise most of the time. The Stray Kids performance that stuck with me was their BTOB performance because it seemed like a real challenge for them. Overall, my favorite performance for EP 10 though was The Boyz's Kingdom Come, I loved the use of the VCR and the song omg 10/10 for me personally.

The way that you would know that ikon’s song was made by mino even without the shoutout <3 ikons song is probably the one I’ll listen to the most but sf9’s stage was soo cool and I am a stan now

I'm not sure if anybody else has mentioned it but Stray Kids actually used a part of Mozart's song in their 1st kingdom performance. I think I remember umu from react to the k saying it was Mozart 40. So it ties together with their Wolfgang performance! Also love that they left a space for hyunjin when everybody was on top of the dancers' backs

Final Kingdom thoughts!:  Each group did a song very much in their own signature style & color, thus there were some I liked more than others.  I thought BtoB did the best job of capturing the feeling & mood of a finale.  My main criticism is of TBZ's performance - specifically their use of pre-filmed videos. I have to disagree w/ PD on this.  It's one thing to do that for an intro, as most groups have done over the 2 shows, but using them in the middle of the performance defeats the purpose of a LIVE performance in my view.  It's not cheating, because there's no rule against it, and it's not even unfair because anyone else could've done it.  Heck, if they'd done it during the No Limit round I'd be praising their creativity.  But, knowing what they're capable of, for a LIVE finale & in comparison to all the awesome effects they did LIVE for Checkmate, this felt like a cop-out. The song itself was great, though! I knew all the groups going in, so I didn't "discover" anyone, nor did I get emotionally attached to any particular group like I did to Oneus on RTK.  There were 4 groups I would've been glad to see win & one of them did, so I'm cool with the (not totally unexpected) result. All in all, I liked RTK better than Kingdom, maybe because it was all fresh to me so there were no expectations to live up to.  I also think those groups, perhaps because they were all comparatively less popular & recognized the opportunity for what it was, were more willing to step farther out of their comfort zones and experiment.  I think there was also more focus on making good SONGS to perform, rather than wild performances that needed songs.  Still, I'll miss it & having a regular Friday night engagement - at least until the next show rolls around. 😄

I saw SKZ winning and I'm ok with it. Some of their performances were not my style but they worked hard nonetheless. For the final round I was more impressed with Ateez's performance. It was so fun and I loved the song. I also liked the heads on the board and them going around playing. SKZ song was not my style. Mostly because it gives me EXO's Wolf flashbacks. I like most of the song until it starts saying "Wolfgang" and then I just get reminded of Wolf lol. The performance was ok but I think the theme alwas too repetitive throughout the competition. . The rest of the songs were ok but I thought The Boyz performance was not that impressive to me. Them using videos in the middle didn't feel as cool in my opinion. Everyone else did their thing live and they used a lot of prerecorded stuff. It just wasn't as cool 🤷🏼‍♀️. I think if they do another Kingdom they should pick groups with the same levels of Fandom. There was no secret SKZ had the biggest fandom and the way the voting was set up wasn't going to change things much. Maybe that way it could be a real competition. Fans most of the time will vote for their favorites no matter what. I sometimes voted for my favorite I sometimes didn't. SKZ was one of my faves coming in, but sometimes I liked other stages more and I didn't vote for them. not everyone will look at it objectively. The best way is to not put groups with such a big gap to compete against each other. Overall I'm glad all groups got exposure and all groups got many fans though. And congratulations to SKZ for their win! 🎉

Honestly before kingdom even started I didn’t care who won. I already knew all these groups, some more than others but I personally think any group deserved to win. I’m just glad that kingdom gave us good performances and interactions between groups and I hope they all left this experience with new friendships and more exposure to new fans.

I started watching the show for BTOB and Ateez. SF9 Round 1 snatched me already with Jealous. Then i checked their original song Now or Never, then all their MVs and yup, I've became a Fantasy. LOL

I told my friend after watching the Ateez performance, that they weren't trying to win anymore, and they decided to just enjoy themselves and I respect that.

I'm super late but the way I interpreted Ateez's performance was that they didn't care what the rankings said, in their hearts they won because of the experience they had so they threw a big party to celebrate that. I've watched Kingdom in its entirety 3 times now and I honestly still can't pick a winner. I feel like all 6 groups were amazing in their own ways. The first time I watched it I would have said Ateez but that's just because they were who I was watching it for. Now I watch it for every single one of them. Each time new members from each group catch my eye and I notice new things that I like about the performances. I truly believe this was a competition with 6 kings.

I love how in the SF9 performance, when they had the crown and checkboard, which can represent competition, he waves them away and took the jewel that represents their group. Plus, how the lyrics went along with that action.

I don't know if I'm the only one who had this feeling but during the last episodes I could feel The Boyz being exhausted. They don't even seem tired anymore but just exhausted. Like in the way they talk about the competition, they don't have the same energy. I felt so sorry for them but they did an amazing job in producing so many iconic stages, they set the bar too high in the beginning and their imagination seems to reach its limit. I hope they had some time to rest just after Kingdom, they truly deserved it.
