I'm glad that you talked about the difference of the context back then and now for the twist. I don't know if K.Will got criticism for this, but I do remember reading that he openly said he supports and doesn't discriminate any love and that was also pretty big. For the next Throwback Thursday I would love to see you talk about Baby i'm sorry by MYNAME. I was honestly shocked by how explicit that MV is and also how it was directed. I'd love to see you talk about it.

I was introduced to this MV through ReactotheK's channel... LOL... The Gatcha element really worked there.

On a similar note, I'd love for you to do Troublemaker songs! I remember thinking they were pretty sexual for the time, but Id love to hear your thoughts on it. For a couple more niche suggestions: Kim Jaejoong - Mine Vixx - GR8U Epik High - Fan

I remember thinking the first time I watched this " wow, he hates this girl". The longer the mv went on, I was like are they gonna spin this into him liking her? The part were his friend came and got him for the photo, I was like wait, does he like him? I was still surprised that they went in that direction though. I didn't understand the car situation either, but watching it this time I think I might. At the end you see his best friend in the car, so I think it was his best friend the whole time and the girl being there was only to fool the viewer. He's wearing the same suit too. Him reaching over would make more sense then. It could be also that there is no one in the car and he's driving back from the ceremony in anger. He's upset at her because he can't be with him, but his friend is at the end cause he still longs to be with him. He no longer hates her and maybe that's why he tries to lean over as a gesture to get closer to her because she's his best friend's wife. The gesture could also be a thing where he thinks life would be easier if he were straight. I don't know, just some thoughts I had this time.

Idk if this is a throwback throwback (forgot when these mvs came out), but what if you react to Ailee I Will Show You or Don't Touch Me?? Or Vixx Voodoo Doll 👀.... hehe! Or maybe Shinhwa This Love or Venus!

As much as the car scene obviously was largely to set up the plot twist, I think it could also be read as like, he’s been telling himself that he’s in love with her and that’s why he’s so upset about the whole situation, but now that he’s driving away from their wedding he finally admits that he’s in love with him instead. Which is why she disappears and then at the end it’s him instead, cause neither of them are actually there, it’s just to illustrate who he’s thinking about

For TBT, i would love to see you reacting to After School’s First Love :)

I remember this being such a huge deal at the time and honestly even for 2012 there weren't a lot of music videos that touched on the subject even in US pop although it would seem like the US was so far ahead so I feel like this was one of the first music videos period that I saw with this storyline. For sure under a 2021 microscope you see the side that could take it as a little bit manipulating the shock factor for attention but I also think there were some genuine conversations about LGBT representation that came out at least in the k-pop watching community at the time.

I love this song! And yes Seo In Guk is a really great actor... he blew my mind in “The smile has left your eyes”

I would love to see you react to any secret songs

I'd be interested to know whether in a podcast or a stream how you feel PD about the sudden popularity of BL (boys love) dramas in Korean media? It's by no means super mainstream but the fact that there have been a fair number of shows released in the last year or two backed by production houses and streaming services is pretty interesting and I'd love to get your take as a filmmaker and also if you watched any of them on the portrayal.

Meruka Hinaru

And also the quality from those released last/this year is really up there. And I also find the filming style really different from the mainstream dramas, and I'd love to hear PD's opinion on that aspect. For this purpose I'd recommend the one's on the lighter side such as Wish you and To my Star. Wish you is on Netflix and To my Star on Viki.

Abby Gora

I remember being so shook by this mv, and 2012 was....interesting for lgbt rep with for some reason specifically seo in guk? he starred in reply 1997 and hoya from infinite played a side character that had secret unrequited feelings for him for like. 15 years??? eunji from a pink was the main star of it...good drama about a girl who gets into college by editing out the sex scenes in her h.o.t. fanfiction and turning them into basketball scrimmages..................🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would love to see you react to some prime 2nd gen groups like 4minute, 2ne1, infinite, f(x), t-ara, or definitely some 2010s shinee!!! if you love early 2010s ballads you will certainly love beast (or b2st as they were known in the old days 🤣) , fiction and breath are their best songs by far. this is such a great series, i ❤️ u pd!!!!!!

ink

Youtube weird algorithm just got me to T-ara Day by Day, and I rushed here immediately after finishing the mv. I think that mv is worth a throwback, not just because of the hauntingly beautiful song, but also because of the cinematic mv, the storyline, the acting, and just, T-ara being T-ara
