I think another reason they put emphasis on the book is because that is the only book the Mun Yeong’s father read to her, so almost like her father is protecting her finally. I love that they focus on the after math, because some dramas just show a happy ever after and to see that there is pain and heartache and growth afterwords is so fulfilling. I left this drama feeling satisfied with the ending.

Regarding your talk in the end, I have a similar concept of life. My life was not even close to as hard as yours must have been. But I also was close to taking my life once. I was able to stop myself while sitting there for 30 minutes or something. Sitting there helped me realize that this is my only chance for happiness and if I decide to end it right there I will never experience happiness again. So I stopped myself there and tried to change my life in the regard of how I view happiness. For me happiness became existence. I think it is kind of similar to your concept of happiness points because after having such a hard time as for an example you have, even a "normal" and "boring" life can be happiness in a way. I hope you know what I mean. I am not sure if I am able to convey my sentiment well, because I am generally bad at talking about my feelings and stuff and I am not a native English speaker but yeah.. Anyway, love you PD.

I never thought of the climax in that manner. The fact that ST had to be the one to take her down because he was impacted the most and he needed to take the step of justice and the fact that GT wanted to save MY's humanity, rather than stopping her from killing her mother. Such a new way to think about it for me Thank you PD for opening up to us. I always appreciate your open talks.
