I agree, sometimes the mv can distract from the song and sometimes end up hiding some sounds. On the other hand a performance can really bring out things you didn't initially hear in the song and make you appreciate it as well as the time the members spent on the choreography. I sometimes find myself being okay with a song then listening to it again sometime later and really liking it. Watching the choreography often makes me like the song more too, like in the case of verivery's photo, I initially didn't like it but after watching the dance practice it is now one of my favorite b-sides by them
