I've been into Seungyoun since his days in the kpop group Uniq and when I say I loved this, I fuckin loved this. His speciality is actually RnB as a soloist so I'm not too surprised you're unfamiliar with his stuff but I would absolutely love to see you do a listening party to the Equal Album if you have some time, it screams versatility.

He’s an R&B artist actually which I know you don’t necessarily love, but you should listen to Pool because I think that sound will be a little more up your alley. I have a tattoo inspired by Woodz’ song Different, it’s my only kpop related tattoo despite two sleeves - Seungyoun is talented, full stop.

Agreed, plus Equal is enough of a departure from Seungyoun’s regular style that PD might actually enjoy the album. Would love to see their opinion on Waikiki lol

Absolutely love everything he puts out and I can see the effect produce x 101 and X1 had on him too. This new album is surprising and GOOD. I hope you listen to his older stuff too 🙏🏼😊

Ah it's so good to see you react to this! I really love this song as well and the music video is really fun to watch. Seungyoun is super talented and his whole mini-album is really great. In terms of Uniq- they debuted in 2014 but haven't had a true comeback in South Korea since like 2015. They released a couple of singles in 2018, but due to some mismanagement on Yuehua's part and also China's ban on k-pop (bc Uniq promoted in both China and South Korea) they haven't been active as a group in a while. A couple of the other members are active in China currently (one in a c-pop group from idol producer (unine) and the other doing acting) but Seungyoun is the only member that's active in South Korea right now.

Update for UNIQ Members if anyone is interested: Sungjoo is in the Military Wenhan is Leader of UNINE Yixuan is Leader of New Storm Wang Yibo is currently one of the most Popular Chinese Actors and a professional Motorcycle Racer You obviously know about Seungyoun 😉 (UNIQ is still together though, their Contracts last till 2022!)

I mean look at how big Yibo is right now in China & Asia like damnnnnnnn.
