Los Angeles under lock down (Patreon)

This is really weird to say but Los Angeles is under lockdown and it’s NOT due to COVID-19.

If you’re unaware, the death of George Floyd has sparked numerous protests across the U.S. because of police brutality. LA has gotten pretty crazy as protestors have occupied and stopped/shut down actual freeways and things have been turning violent.

I just got a notification a few hours ago that ALL of Los Angeles is being placed on mandatory curfew from 8PM to 5:30AM.

Even going out today I had to encounter a lot of police as we’re fairly near the epicenter. And we’ve been hearing a lot of shouting, sirens, and pop/explosions/possible-gunfire and I also have a neighborhood app which has been going off like crazy. Based on what I saw from friends’ IGs, people are looking to amp up the protest tonight.

Just as a precaution, I won’t be going out to the office until either Monday or Tuesday (depending on the situation) which means videos may not be uploaded until late Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a few things like ROTK and some Hotel Del Luna on my portable drive but Kulture Study and other Patreon videos may be delayed a few days. I’ll be sure to upload them in bulk once we go back out.

This may all be my—holy crap we just heard another gunshot. Oh my god I’m live typing this, that’s two. I was gonna say that we may just be overreacting but I’m gonna try to play it safe. If the protests don’t accelerate in violence in tonight or tomorrow I may go to the office earlier.

So just a heads up! And if you live anywhere near a city where police brutality protests are increasing in violence; PLEASE stay inside and stay safe.
