So it’s been our first month with Drama Club and I’ll admit I severely underestimated how difficult it would be to balance two shows at once. With that said, I’m fairly confident I can still do two shows a month (unless it’s a film shooting month then we’ll stick to one), I just miscalculated how many days I’ll need to film.

With that said there won’t be new episodes of KILL IT or HOTEL DEL LUNA till next week. I have to travel to LA this weekend and THE ROSE video gave me trouble so it ate into my filming time.

But next week is a new month! And I intend to honor my promise of finishing both within the month so if you’re a SUMMER or above Patron who is not renewing their subscription, next SATURDAY I’ll be posting all of the KILL IT and HOTEL DEL LUNA episodes in one post. I’ll keep that post public for 24hrs so even your subscription expires you should be able to see it Saturday; just save all the links!

With that said, what’s the next K-Drama we should tackle in October? Leave suggestions in the comments!

I still think your life “He is Psychometric”. One of my favs

Sky castle or mr temporary both left me with so many emotions after every episode

Tyisha

Sky Castle so I can watch it

Harley

I feel like it would be cool to get your opinion on Sky Castle for a more serious one. But also if you want a more light hearted one I recommend Hello My Twenties

Amethyst FloverOrbit

Sky Castle is always good, Signal and Tunnel both deal with time travel and crime-solving in different and interesting ways. If you're more in a rom-com mood, I liked What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, and I don't normally like rom-coms (I'm more a crime/spy/action type person, like the aforementioned Signal and Tunnel and the currently showing Vagabond).

riverbandhope

I haven't watch dramas in years so I have no input in it >< but i will watch them so it feels like a viewing party for me xD

Search:WWW is a really great drama about 3 strong high powered women and their complicated relationships with each other. Coincidentally, the male lead in this drama is the lead in Kill It, he has a romance with the female lead, but I think the strongest storyline is still the 3 women's power struggle. *PSSST* Lee Da Hee is one of those women.. 👀

Oh! Any of the Reply series(1994, 1997, 1988) is amazing as well! They aren't interconnected but each series uses the same story motif. In the most basic way to describe it, it has a How I Met Your Mother feel to it. They all follow a group of friends in two different time periods of their lives. So it goes back and forth between the two times and you have to figure out what happened in the past that made their present how it is. If you wanted to stick to new-ish dramas, Reply 1988 was just 2 years ago.

W two worlds is an amazing drama

Doyoungismyult

ANGELS LAST MISSION: LOVE! I am OBSESSED WITH IT. Or please react to Mr Temporary. It is a phenomenal suspenseful drama

rockthekazb0t

I know Sky Castle was basically THE BIGGEST thing ever, but I just couldn't get into it. Signal, however, was amazing! Dark subject matter tho, fyi

Brittany Urbati

Hwayugi, Hwarang, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon are great.

Story wise some of the most interesting dramas I've watched were Mr.Sunshine and While You Were Sleeping. Both have amazing reviews- so if your looking for something more plot heavy like Hotel Del Luna id definitely say either of those. If you're looking for a Love Story I definitely have some good "slow-burn" or - IMO - realistic shows that I would recommend. One being Something In the Rain (Netflix) or One Spring Night (Netflix) (about a young single father - very rare but very good) both are such beautiful stories about Love, Breaking social norms, and following your heart. But if you want some good ole fashioned K-Drama - Romance Is A Bonus Book, Fight My Way, 100 Days My Prince, Weightlifting Fairy - theres hella lol. As for the ones Id like to see you watch the most? Def Mr.Sunshine and One Spring Night.

There are some great Netflix exclusives like Misaeng, Live, and Prison Playbook! And the Reply series is fantastic! 1988, personally, I think is the best one. The shows don't connect to each other story-wise, but some of the characters do pop in when the years overlap

anna

anna

I don't watch a lot of kdramas in general, but I loved Search: WWW

Jacob Peter Bankel

Never watched a K drama, but since IU has a comeback next month, it could make sense to see another show of hers, as I know she has done other than Hotel del Luna. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Daniela Hawkins

Abyss or he is psychometric please they are really good

Heather O

My personal recent favourites are Sky Castle and Angel's Last Mission: Love but Reply 1997 and Are You Human? are also really good, Seo Kang Joon's acting in Are You Human is phenomenal so I'd definitely recommend that one.

cherry m.

seconding everyone who has recommended sky castle!

School 2013 and The Village: Achiara’s Secret

Jacob Clifton

Be Melodramatic https://www.viki.com/tv/36634c-melo-is-my-nature its a recommendation from Itzy's Ryujin

Yarden00

Loona's Woomama series. Beware it is super cringey tho!

Jade

Sky Castle or Mr Sunshine! They're both on Netlix

M.C.

The Secret Life of My Secretary: A buisnessman develops facial blindness after an incident and requires the help of his secretary to keep it a secret. The Show can go from being serious and heartfelt to being kooky. The characters can be crazy but in a way that's entertaining and endearing. 32 episodes, around 30 minutes each ------------------------------------- Mr. Temporary: A lawyer takes on an attempted murder case of a female student by disgusting himself as a temporary teacher. I just finished the first episode and I like it. 16 episodes, about 1 hour each

Bethia Zhang

Signal and He Is Psychometric were really great.

Hanabicarat

Angel's last mission:love (i think u will like the female lead charatcer in this a lot) and sky castle.

royalsea

I highly recommend Come and hug me, I feel like it's such an underrated gem, so dark and beautiful. Also, I recommend Be Melodramatic, Search WWW, Goblin, A Korean Odyssey.

As far as television production goes, the two that stand out to me at this moment are Search:WWW - the way its filmed, plus it's so well written and directed, it's absolutely wonderful, and Bad Guys: Age of Evil - a crime drama that was also brilliantly filmed and well directed. I think you would have a lot of fun with these dramas on that level PD.

DavidEE

I recommend Memories of Albambra. I think it is one of the better kdramas I've ever seen when it comes to CGI work, the plot is also very unique and stands out from other kdramas.

Macie

My Mister (My Ahjussi) with IU in it is amazing! It has such a great story line. Hard to find somewhere to watch it though sadly :(

Anonymous

There’s already a bunch of suggestions but to reenforce a few that I’d love to see: Woomanna(Loona webdrama), Sky Castle, W Two Worlds, The Heirs

Macchiryto

Hey PD will we see you react to Jackson Wangs new mv next week as well?

Anonymous
