A bit of positive news for ya, PD - as of right now, VV's 1st day album sales is ‼️OVER 200,000‼️ They sold over SEVEN TIMES the amount of Assemble24 on the 1st day! This is also already their highest 1st Week sales ever as well! Granted, the bulk of the sales are from a special platform style album Modhaus came up with that's much cheaper and still contributed towards sales (another genius idea), but it still speaks to how much the fandom has grown from Girls Never Die!

After Ballad Unit, aka ARIA, we have the Performance Unit, aka Visionary Vision. Fellow WAV's correct me if I'm wrong. There was a Gravity too for these combination, BUT: - Lynn and Yubin were already selected by MODHAUS as members of VV. - We had to vote first for a leader (we could vote for Lynn or Yubin as well): Hyerin won. - Hyerin had to pick a member herself, she picked Naky. - The rest of the members were chosen by us: Xinyu, Nien, Kotone, Yooyeon, Yeonji, Kaede, Jiyeon, Sohyun. ALSO, these are not signal episodes, you gotta watch soon "Visionary Vision Summer Vacation", 3 episodes before their debut, these are a must, they are on their Youtube channel.

It's so nice to see them highlight the japanese members so much this comeback!! Kaede, Kotone and Lynn really killed it! Sohyun explained the concept that they're going for is basically to show that they're past the difficulties they faced as girls (in previous songs) and are on their way to become women, and they chose this really boyish/boygroup style MV and song to convey that (even going as far as cutting all their hairs short) breaking every stereotype people have about women and how girlgroups should look and how they should act. I think that's so incredible! Also tripleS just had their best 1st day sales yet, over 200k sales!! They're in big 4 territory now

Happy MODHAUS didn't just do what most kpop companies would do and highlight the already popular/longest running members (basically AAA) especially after GND when a huge chunk of people discovered who they were (and honestly, when you watch what's already been released it kinda seems like especially yooyeon is kind of relieved and more relaxed not having to shoulder the ENTIRE promotion load) Not to already jam up your TripleS queue but even on day 1 of this comeback looks like they were on Weekly Idol today (yesterday), have an upcoming Studio Choom, have already done the Clean Freak Brian episode (which I know your patrons have been hounding you about already), and already had a vacation type series on their channel.

I think only one other female idol has ever bodied a song and we all know it was Karina in Supernova (she literally says it). I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a female idol truly BODY a song like Kotone did tho.

I have to think Jaden Jeong knows that if this going to work that more than just 3-4 of the original members need traction as well. It's just surprising to see it actually being implemented. Even a Big 3 company will spend 7+ years and never highlight a member that didn't have popularity in the beginning. Think of all the "Justice for _____________" movements over the past 10 years

that being said though, I watched the showcase performance and man, Lynn and Nakyung just STAND OUT, I don't think they can even help it. Kotone and Kaede are incredible dancers but the camera just hunts for Nakyung and now, it seems, Lynn. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the upcoming dance videos and the Studio Choom video

I hope they continue this trend of having the member names show up when it’s their lines, in the subtitles. I believe they’d only done it for Aria and GLOW before so am happy to see it here too. Really helps people put names to faces AND voices.

KOTONE FINALLY GOT TO RAP, SHE"S BEEN WAITING FOR SO LOOOONG haha But seriously this blew my mind, props to MODHAUS and getting that BUDGET. Even the album continues the no-skip discography, it's so good! VV was voted on through gravity except Yubin and Lynn who were MODHAUS picks, we voted Hyerin in as leader, then she got to pick a member which was Naky, then the rest were voted on by WAVs. VV was introduced as the "performance/dance" unit, and majority of these members are the ones from the GND dance break, and the group that covered EXO's Call Me Baby with a few switches (No Dahyun but we got Yooyeon, Yeonji, Sohyun, and Jiyeon) and BOY do they dance in this... wait till you see the LIVE stage PD... 1st day already and the sales for this album beat their previous record, they definitely have reachd a bigger audience after GND. So proud of the girls, even in the recent Signal, seeing the other 12 members come and support the showcase just warms my heart, We Are One and Also Twenty-Four!!!! Their presence is getting stronger and stronger, all the expressions, but OMD KAEDE and KOTONE! Sohyun's voice hits like a truck (in a good way) Love how they utilize it and which parts she sings. Lynn probably BEEN WAITING to show us all her swag fr, killed that. I mean, Kaede killing it as usual, Yubin, Nien, Xinyu's voices really shined for me, but they all killed it! Proud of Hyerin as leader, and Yooyeon for holding it down! I know she was worried since she never really was considered in any "dance" line but hey, practice and hard work pays off. Also, I always thought Yeonji lowkey was a good dancer since her first signals, glad to see her growth constantly! I'm yapping, but my gosh did I LOVE this. I can't wait for you to hear the album!

ALSO, Kotone and Yeonji sharing the "Strong and Invincible" part has to be because they both made they're debut with EVOL, and they were the only two partnered up living along in Japan, I love how MODHAUS always hints at the wider tripleS real like lore haha

I'm paraphrasing a lot, but sohyun (the introspective artist that she is) spoke a lot about the albums concept on fromm and it truly shows how much depth she wanted to bring out in it! she said that if the previous songs (especially gnd) were showcasing the struggles of girlhood, hit the floor is them pushing past those to discover and embody who they are as women. all the members cut their hair into bobs/wolfcuts, and sohyun did this, but revealed at the showcase that she actually cut it shorter again, like rookie jeongyeon short (it looks amazing I can't wait for the live stages lol). she stated her reasoning that, even she likes her long hair, but she wanted to show that the actions and ways one expresses themselves has no bearing on their gender, that doing this concept does not mean they are boys, and she felt a hair cut is most noticeable to people. with short hair, she's still sohyun, a woman, expressing herself. she said that while the word "boyish" and comparisons to boy groups were used to explain the concept during voting + promotion, these were used just to make it easy to understand quickly. she said she wanted to break the prejudices that girls have to do certain things and act certain ways, and i think this truly comes across in the mv. much like their other songs, it is still about girlhood. they still act their age, having fun like teens and young girls should, just dressed differently with different music. i really appreciate the variety and it makes fans like me, who are genderqueer or even just not overtly feminine in their style, feel a lot more seen and secure! freaking loved this unit. absolutely not ready for the studio choom lol

my only wish is some members get a rest by being barred from units for a little while. yooyeon and kotone are also in triples hachi, the unit for japan promotions, and yooyeon said before the mv released that she's so busy she had to miss some practices and have the girls teach her what she missed. the girls have also repeatedly said this was the most difficult mv and era to prepare for in general, they've really emphasised this a lot. it's a style some of them have never tired and the choreo is very demanding, they had plenty of bruises from (spoiler) some of the flooreork. a pro of triples is you can rotate between members slowly, with no members appearing in more than one unit a year, and still have like 2-3 comebacks a year, like with love/evol. but with vv and hachi voting was more of a free for all and popularity contest (which is why non-dance line members such as yooyeon and xinyu are in this unit, but i do think they still added a lot to vv, xinyu's gp999 rapper side came out here). imo if mh doesn't put some sort of system in place to prevent this pattern, it'll be unsustainable for the health and time usage of plenty of members as well as unfair to those who don't get to shine. it also wouldn't be very "idol of all possibilities" of them lol. I'd love to see a 6-6-6-6 unit split or more 8 member units!

I wonder how PD feel for this comeback after already started watching signals. Im not sure on what members PD on now in the signals. Im sure PD feel proud of them like i did on my first come back lovelution. The girls were so shy and timid(not soomin) back then but now they emit sooo much aura and confidence.

Mangonim just dropped their Weekly Idol episode (on a side note....faster than Viki which is an ACTUAL streaming service....honestly, mangonim is putting kpop companies, YT channels and streamers to shame) and well worth it!!!!!

In all honesty, the only one that REALLY surprised me (just bc most of all the other members had had multiple comebacks) was jiyeon. Everyone knew from the get go that Lynn is a monster dancer so it's not like she was all THAT surprising but Jiyeon's verse in the back half of the bridge ACTUALLY surprised me bc it was so clear and high. Obviously everyone is aware of her body control and dance lines but even in Glow, chaewon and seoah really seemed to be the ones highlighted vocally. After watching the showcase, yeonji's dancing actually surprised me with how actually SMOOTH she is with her movements. It's weird bc in my mind she's in the maknae line and I'm ALWAYS surprised with how TALL she is in comparison to the others. She was just gliding across the dance floor in the showcase. Excited for the dance practice vid and the Studio Choom vid

Atmosphere VV ver. Is very different from the one in the LP though PD! I guess take my comment like this: If you want to see from the perspective of the fans who had Atmosphere for years on concerts before having it as an official b-side, watch the stage. But if you wanna tackle it as a new fan and appreciate the VV Ver. then be curious on how it sounded before, then do the LP first. Either way PD both versions are really insane and WAVs would love to see what you think of both versions
