Dahyun and Jiwoo always stood out for vocals for me but this is really where more of the fandom got to see KAEDE destrooooooy the vocals. I remember you liked it in your initial reaction! (They’re basically prepping Kaede for main vocal for VV unit I think. In a recent performance in an MMA octagon lmao Kaede was covering the main parts pretty much) So for a refresh! Aria had a gravity BUT the voting was different - Dahyun was already a set member and leader obviously because she’s a vocal queen BUT to add the other 4 members for Aria OT16 had a live stream and they did a random draw (using their photocards hidden in a gatcha capsule) to form multiple random groups of 4. Then those groups were voted on, IIRC the chosen line up was Group D? And I think a lot of people knew right away that they would win cuz of wanting to hear more Jiwoo, Chaeyeon, Kaede vocals, and Nien got the opportunity to show more! Also would have been nice to see Mayu in Aria (there’s a signal where she’s singing door and imo it was good 😭 but she’s the leader of Hachi so hopefully we hear a lot more!) There was also a second gravity to choose the name for the vocal unit and Aria won! Also DON’T FORGET THE B-SIDE THAT CAME WITH THIS! You were saying how Door is very healing, I also think the same for “Farewell My First”. Don’t need a reaction but pls listen it for some good healing as well! Haha Also I know next week the schedule has Into Danger and Atmosphere then rereaction to GND but PLS if you can do tripleS GLOW’s single “Inner Dance” as well! A similar rollout to NXT but they got a little more tbh, the “MV” is listed as an official Reel video or something but it’s just a stylistic choice, they also have a performance video version!

Even if ballads aren’t someone’s things THIS is a ballad I would show someone bc I think it’s true to the genre without being generic, you get the different vocal moments from everyone’s unique color and the emotion doesn’t feel fake and it doesn’t feel like just showing off vocals, it feels true to the song and so genuine and justtt pop a little bit to get people who aren’t into ballads into this song

I remember seeing Kaede was in the group and being SO EXCITED bc before this she had parts in songs where I was noticed specifically HEY THATS DIFFICULT UR A GOOD SINGER ARENT U, like knowing she’s a main dancer deservedly but the short parts she got before definitely made me anticipate and hope for her vocal showcase in the future, Kaede is a very impressive performer

Apart from vocals, I was impressed with the potential for acting like Chaeyeon was SO COMPELLING and discovering what Kaede and Jiwoo could emotionally portray was such a welcomed surprise, I’d love to see more from everyone

Just to explain how Aria members were picked + other cool to know info. - The event (gravity) was introduced as a ballad subunit. - Dahyun was auto picked by Modhaus to be in the subunit guaranteed. Seen on SIGNAL #400, officially posted on YT as "GRAVITY is here to deliver fantastic music to everyone!: SIGNAL 231118" - 7 group combinations of random members through a live streamed lottery draw (balls randomly picked by Dahyun). Translated by YT channel mangonim as "[ENG SUB] TripleS Ballad DIMENSION LIVE 231121 (S1-S16)" - Fans voted on which one of those 7 random member groupings would be the ballad subunit Aria. - soloist HEIZE, wrote Aria's debut song's lyrics. - The single album has another song called "첫 이별 (Farewell My First)" - 03:29 Almost if not all their lives and variety translated by fans, all signals are translated by modhaus, they have almost 2k videos on their official channel now, not counting lives.

ARIA, also voted in a Gravity, except Dahyun she was chosen as a fixed member. Aria was born in OT16 era, there were 7 combinations of 4 girls picked randomly and Jiwoo - Chaeyeon - Kaede - Nien won and became as Aria. I definitely wanted Jiwoo to be in it (I also liked a combination with Jiwoo and Mayu in it). They were called Ballad Dimension, and the name was also part of a Gravity, Aria competed with other names such as Snow Angel. Sound of 5, etc. Now about vocals... vocal line in tripleS: Dahyun and Jiwoo, when NXT happened, add Shion to this line. Then Mayu. I recall PD said when watching Team B performing GND (in Jiwoo's part close to the end of the song), "who's that girl that covered Jiwoo's part in the song? tell me who that is", well that was Mayu, Mayu has an amazing voice, side note, she appeared with Naky in this video, I believe it's Raon's channel? sorry I don't know her u_u I'm not sure if this is a collab or cover, in Japanese, but Mayu's vocals here are amazing, also Naky of course! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4NaBYpOh9w Going back to vocals, Kaede is the main dancer that can easily be a main vocal, she is lately doing Dahyun high notes in performances of GND, maybe they are preparing Kaede to be the main vocalist of the new performance sub unit (to debut Oct 23rd) Visionary Vision? cause even though we have vocalists in Visionary Vision, i feel Kaede is the one that can reach higher notes easily. Chaeyeon, amazing vocalist too, very pretty voice. All of these girls (TripleS as a whole) are so talented. Like, Kaede and Nien are both most comfortable as dancers, but they have these amazing voices on them as well. I also always forget how good Jiwoo and Chaeyeon are because of the madness they pull of on badge war. Don't even get me started on Dahyun, there is a reason why that girl got an OST before her debut. What I also would really like to see in the future is a duet of Dahyun and Haseul, that would be fantastic. Quick little piece of information: Although Seoyeon was S1, she wasn't the first member of the group to be under MODHAUS. Sohyun was actually one of the first people to ever set foot in the MODHAUS building. That's also why people these days are saying Yooyeon is the official leader with Seoyeon as an unofficial co-leader (first member of the group), but they are being controlled by Sohyun (I could see a label doing this, appointing someone as the leader, but in fact letting another member really focus on steering the group into the right direction). Like, imagine BTS being lead by Namjoon and as a co-leader they appoint Jin (because he is the oldest), but in fact someone like Suga could focus on how the group sounds or is performing. I see this a lot with Main dancers taking the lead in dance practices (Sohyun is also one of their best dancers).

Kaede is SUCH a good singer and she's super stable singing live!! I've had my eyes on her since the Assemble album, her lines were one of my favorites, glad she had a chance like this to really show off!

To me, Kaede is a absolute ACE. in their song I looking forward to Kaede dance & voice the most. I hooked when she sang girl capitalism when she poured the ketchup part and her aura & dance on New Look. and Door Era just sold it for me. girl born different! also she sang Dahyun part for door at MMA cage "stage what ever that is" event, not the same power but she can do it.

it's not only the MMA event that kaede did main vocals. there were at least 2 more events after that. ie in the (edit: K-link festival) where they wore fusion hanboks, and kaede did the dahyun parts for rising, non scale, girls cap and GND all live! it was absolutely amazing
