I wanted to make a series of smaller paintings (9X6) watercolour and gouache paintings base on constellations as I have always had a mad love for artwork that shows space or stars. I LOVE constellations even if I totally can not ever find or see them in the sky. ( I blame the dreamworks animated Sinbad movie)

I'll paint the sky in watercolour and paint the figures in white gouache so they have that classic star chart art. HOPEFULLY the matte of the white gouache will be nice effect rather than jarring. If jarring I'll start over with white acrylic paint watered down for the same effect without matte.

First one I want to do... not shocking is Felis constellation which is a former one...
I don't care it's a cat and cats in space are my jam.

I also wanted to make Lynx and thinking of Vulpecula which would be a red fox with a goose in it's mouth. I'm not sure if I should make Vulpecula, but I like painting foxes but people can be off put by depictions of predators being.. well what they are.

I was debating on replacing it with either Canis Major, Lupus, one of the few lions or Monoceros (a unicron)

I'd love some feedback from you all of you. Basically I want to paint animals with stars.

I am really excited to see any of these completed. Constellations are one of my first loves. Corvus would be my suggestion! I think it'd be neat to see white to black somehow.

I think Vulpecula would be really neat... but I am a hunter and appreciate the predator/prey relationship.

Thanks, I don't mind it myself as it's nature to me. I just noticed in the past it can be troublesome at art shows. Plus space foxes are neat
