The walls of the room were lined with bookshelves, each shelf groaning under the weight of stories bound in leather and cloth. Sitting on the couch beside Jared, Leah's eyes roamed the room, taking in the photographs that peppered the walls, each frame capturing a moment frozen in time. They were of Ashleigh with her friends and family - they were of the current body Leah resided in.

Stealing the young woman's body would have been impossible without the man sitting beside her. Leah's cold feet were tucked under her, the warmth from the fire seeping into her bones. He reached for a throw that lay draped over the back of the couch, its colors a match for the liveliness of the fire.
