Penelope had never looked better in her life. Now that she'd found a suitable host, she was eager to explore her brand-new city. After moving to Seattle, she didn't have a chance to really enjoy the local landmarks. She was a 70-year-old woman who mostly stayed in her apartment after retiring. She grew bored and miserable after nearly half a year of living in her new city.

But then, her beautiful neighbor moved in. Adeline was an incredibly loud and obnoxious 20-year-old who partied for days at a time. She was unbelievably rude, and whenever Penelope would ask her to tone things down, the young woman would cry to the apartment building's management team. Penelope didn't realize how much influence Adeline had until she learned that the young woman's father was the owner of the building.

Unfortunately for Adeline, Penelope was a retired witch who was growing tired of the young woman's antics. There weren't very many spells that she could do without getting into trouble, though. Magic was a taboo subject and could lead to discreet executions, so Penelope had to be careful. She briefly studied her spell book for anything she could do, and just as she was about to lose hope, she stumbled upon a body possession spell. It involved having a strand of Adeline and Penelope's hair placed inside of a cloth doll. Getting Adeline's blonde hair wasn't so hard since there were always strands of it stuck in the young woman's doormat, but there was one issue.

It would only work for a few hours, and the subject would feel groggy and out of sorts for a few days afterwards. However, there was a way to make it permanent, and that immediately caught Penelope's eye. By using the assistance of a willing third party, Penelope could permanently seal her soul upon possessing Adeline. The third party had to burn the doll, permanently leaving the witch's soul inside of her new vessel.

The major issue was finding a willing third party, but Penelope ended up seeing a blessing in disguise. Adeline's stepbrother, Thomas, was visiting for two weeks. He was a 19-year-old who wanted to get used to Seattle's surroundings. He was going to go to school in a few months, and staying with his stepsister was the most convenient way of getting used to the city. Obviously, Adeline was livid when her parents had him stay, but she took him in nonetheless. He ended up becoming great friends with his neighbors, and it didn't take long for him to start talking to Penelope.

The witch did everything to study his every desire. By using a discreet mind reading spell, she managed to discover that he had a massive crush on his stepsister. He knew it was wrong, but after Penelope showed him a few magic tricks, she ended up convincing him that she could possess Adeline's body. The thought of finally getting with his sister convinced Thomas to burn the doll once Penelope had possessed his stepsister's body.

This turned out to be a grave mistake, because Penelope ended up trapping his sister's spirit somewhere between this world and the afterlife. Now, as Penelope admired her gorgeous 20-year-old build and scanned the room with her flawless eyes, she could tell that Thomas was waiting for his reward. But with an evil smirk, she told him to get out. She had tricked Thomas into sealing her into her new body, and she didn't plan on doing anything to repay him for his services.
