“Do you see her?” Tianna asked.

“I’m still looking,” Robert said gently to his wife as he squinted. The sun shone brightly in the sky, casting a warm glow on the crowd of people gathered in the university's open-air auditorium. Robert stood among the proud parents, his eyes scanning the sea of graduating students, searching for his beloved daughter, Janae. He was proud of how far she had come, and he loved how she carried herself so confidently upon finding her in the crowd.

He remembered the countless struggles she had faced throughout her life, battling a severe personality disorder that had threatened to derail her dreams and aspirations. There had been times when he had feared that she would never be able to lead a normal life. 

But fate had intervened in the form of a miracle drug. It was a ground breaking treatment that had not only cured Janae of her mental illness but had also unlocked a world of possibilities for the young woman. With her newfound freedom, Janae had flourished, both academically and socially. 

She had managed to complete her degree in psychology in fewer than three years. Robert's heart swelled with pride as he watched Janae transform into a social butterfly, no longer the timid girl who had once shied away from social interactions. 

She had become a vibrant, outgoing young woman who embraced life with open arms, making friends and memories that would last a lifetime. He never approved of the boyfriends she would take home during winter or summer break, but he was happy that she was enjoying herself with other people.

Janae's newfound confidence had also manifested itself in her appearance too. She began to experiment with her wardrobe, trading in her conservative attire for more daring, revealing clothing. Robert, like any father, was somewhat uncomfortable with this change, but he knew that it was a sign of his daughter's growing self-assuredness. It wasn't just her style that had changed – Janae had also become a bundle of energy, always on the go, eager to experience everything life had to offer. 

And while Robert watched his daughter walk the stage, the wide grin on her face a testament to her triumph over adversity, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of pride and gratitude. While he may have had reservations about some aspects of her newfound wild side, he knew that she had become a better person thanks to her miracle medication.

The ceremony drew to a close, and Robert eagerly awaited his chance to embrace his daughter. Tianna rubbed his shoulder and pointed at a smiling face in the crowd. “There she is,” she whispered excitedly. Janae approached them both, her eyes glistening with tears of joy while her mother hugged her first. 

When Janae looked at Robert, it almost looked like she was going to cry. And as they wrapped their arms around each other, the world seemed to melt away for Robert, leaving only the love and bond between a father and his daughter. In that moment, he knew that he had fulfilled his role as a father.
