Grace shivered as a cold rush of air moved past her. The old Victorian house, which she had rented through Airbnb for the weekend, seemed to be full of surprises. Having traveled from out of town to attend her best friend's wedding, she had been captivated by the charm of the historic home. Little did she know the weekend would hold more excitement than she had bargained for.

On her first night in the house, Grace noticed a large, ornate mirror hanging on the wall across from her bed. The gilded frame seemed to hold secrets within it, as if it had witnessed countless stories over the years. The mirror fascinated her, but she couldn't shake off an inexplicable feeling of unease.

As she got ready for bed, Grace heard faint whispers emanating from the mirror. She strained her ears, attempting to discern the source of the sound, but it seemed to vanish as quickly as it had appeared. Dismissing it as her imagination, she crawled into bed and closed her eyes. It took a really long time for her to fall asleep, and when she did, she had a dreamless sleep.

The next day, Grace attended the wedding ceremony and reception, enjoying the celebration with her friends. She danced and laughed the night away, forgetting all about the strange occurrence the night before.

The warmth she had around others made her feel wonderful, and actively socializing with new acquaintances made her look forward to adding them all on LinkedIn and Facebook. And as the festivities came to an end, she returned to the Airbnb, exhausted and ready for a good night's sleep.

But while she prepared for bed, Grace felt the chill in the air once more. The whispers returned, this time louder and more insistent. Timidly, she approached the mirror, her heart pounding in her chest. Her reflection stared back at her, the soft light from the bedside lamp casting a warm glow on her face.

As she studied her reflection, Grace noticed a shadow behind her. It seemed to grow larger and darker, moving closer with each passing second. Before she could react, the shadow lunged at her, and she felt her entire body being pushed into the mirror. Grace gasped as an icy sensation enveloped her. She could feel a ghostly presence attempting to possess her, its malevolent energy trying to overtake her own. She groaned in pain, her vision blurring as she fought to maintain control.

And just when she thought she had pushed the ghost out of her, she felt her shivering hands suddenly become calm. Her body smirked and looked back into the mirror. “God, this body’s PERFECT! It’s been way too long since I’ve been able to breathe like this. I’ve never been a girl before, but I could get used to this.” Grace wanted to scream when she saw the ghost admiring her face’s reflection. But the more she yelled, the quieter her voice became until her soul became absorbed by the spirit.
