The light slowly faded away, and Evangeline found herself on the ground looking up at her own face. “Evangeline,” her lips whispered while she was shaken awake. “This isn’t good. This isn’t good at all.”

Evangeline sat up and groaned. The side of her head felt horrible, and when she looked down at herself, she realized that she was in Angie’s body. “Wait, is that what that dream was about? Was that part of the spell?” Evangeline stood up from the ground. “Where’s the spell book?”

Angie gave her a worried look. “You were reading the spell book before we both lost consciousness. It fell … and … Well.” Angie handed Evangeline the closed book. “Do you remember what spell you used?”

Evangeline’s heart dropped as she turned through the pages. She didn’t recognize any of the pages. Most of the book was in Latin, so it wasn’t like she could understand anything that she said. “You’re right, this isn’t good. Fuck … I can’t believe I dropped it. Should we try every spell one at a time?”

Angie frantically shook her head while she crossed her arms. She seemed to be having difficulties moving around in Evangeline’s shoes. She turned away from Evangeline and bent over to undo her high heels. She slipped her feet out of them, and Evangeline immediately noticed that her eyes were glued to her body. A rush of heat flowed through her, and she immediately felt a sense of desire. “Whoa…”

“What?” Angie asked.

Evangeline shook her head. “Sorry, I think I’m just getting used to your body. What do you think we should do?”

Angie gave her a worried look. But she didn’t seem overly worried about the book. She seemed more worried about what Evangeline was thinking. “We should see if there’s an address on the book. Most books have a copyright page or a printing information page in the glossary, right? Let’s start there.”

Evangeline studied Angie one final time before she agreed. She turned to the back of the book and found a local address. “Let’s go upstairs and get your computer booted up. We’ll look up at the address before we drive there.”
