“No, we should be back in like two weeks,” Arianna laughed while she looked at Tatianna through her phone’s screen. Her sister was house sitting and looking after Arianna’s cat, but Tatianna clearly didn’t realize that she was going to be gone for so long. “Yeah, sorry, I’ll make it up to you. You said you were off for the summer, so it’s not like you have plans, right?”

“Uh, yeah, I have a life,” Tatianna said while rolling her eyes. “I don’t see why she drags you around. I thought you said you hated Laila.”

Arianna quickly looked around to make sure Laila wasn’t nearby. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw Laila near the ocean waters. She could see her friend was getting a little impatient, so she decided to end the call as soon as she could. “I don’t hate her. She’s actually really chill. I’ll actually introduce the both of you when we get back. I promise.”

“Yeah, whatever, I gue-” Arianna ended the call and walked back to Laila. She reached into her purse and pulled out the expensive camera Laila bought before they came to Italy. 

“Who was that?” Laila asked while she adjusted her bikini. She was getting ready to pose. “It’s nothing serious, right?”

“Nothing serious, sorry. Let’s get these pictures done, and I’ll get Tommy to edit them. But I really don’t think it’ll take that much longer. You look so perfect in that swimsuit.” Laila smiled at that, and Arianna quickly took a photo. “God damn, girl. One from the side - yeah, just like that!” Picture after picture, Arianna marveled at how much Laila had changed since they first met. Tatianna was right - Arianna had hated her roommate’s guts. Laila had been very reserved and avoided going out. 

The girl was cute, but her personality was dull. After volunteering her body to help seniors in need, Laila was confident and radiant. The transformation was remarkable, and Arianna couldn't be happier for her friend. Laila's personality began to blossom after the experience - she was more outgoing and happier, and soon enough, she began to amass an Instagram following.

Since then, Laila's modeling career had taken off, and she loved to bring Arianna along with her to new and exciting places. They had created so many memories together, and Arianna was grateful for the friendship they shared. Arianna smiled as she snapped another photo of Laila, soaking in the sun and the beauty of their surroundings. She was proud of her friend and all that she had accomplished. And she knew that with Laila by her side, there would be many more adventures to come.
