Hi my friends and supporters. I am in the middle of the scripting of one of my most complex accident investigations ever. The story about the faith of Air France flight 447 has a little bit of everything in it and a lot of some things.

I would love to hear what YOUR biggest un-answered questions are about this “Titanic of the skies”. Is there something you really don’t understand about it?

Obviously I’m asking those of you who have seen other documentaries about it. Those who haven’t, don’t worry. I will cover it in as much details as possible, just like I always do. But I want to make sure that I straighten out as many question marks as possible with this one.

Thank you all! 💕

Check out "risk-enginerring.org/concept/af447-rio-paris". Particularly the last half training philosophy. There are some really good references for good reading, this Accident aside. Said the results of the damages trail due out this coming April.

There were a number of human factors underlying this unnecessary disaster which would not have happened had the junior first officer done nothing except keep the aircraft level. The French investigators were under pressure from the pilots' union accusing them of whitewashing Airbus. Indeed the investigators deleted the captain saying he had only had an hour's sleep and 'it was not enough' from the transcript of the CVR, with it only become publicly known in the parallel judicial inquiry. The senior first officer, only on the flight to keep his license current, had become a pilot at Air France via a prestigious aviation college whereas the junior FO who stalled the aircraft had started off as cabin crew. The senior FO working in management was not liked by the junior FO. Furthermore, it is alleged that as cabin crew the junior FO did not have to take a certain aptitude/psychological? test before starting his training. Maybe you could look into that. There were other human factors. I can understand you finding this more difficult than you thought. In a way, it does not make sense with the captain not even noting the stall warnings.
