Well, it's more of a sketch, but hey, I haven't posted any cheesecake in a while... and this sorta qualifies... :)

One of the many things keeping me occupied these days is setting up a laser engraver. Finally got it running, and tried several bits of artwork I had- mostly old sticker art and the like.

But the sticker art would only "raster" engrave, so I tried some line art so we could try to get it to "vector" engrave, which should be faster. Well, I'd just dumped my camera cards and had some pics of some recent book-sketches, so I took one, cleaned it up a bit, ran the TIF file through the vector conversion software, and tried to run it.

It ran just fine, just not in "vector" mode.

I'll have to play with it some more, and I should have more fun stuff to show off shortly. Just figured you'd all get a kick out of a little roundabout TWB cheesecake. :)

For those interested in the details, it's a typical Chinese "K40" laser engraver, running "K40 Whisperer" software, with a custom-built mesh table. For this image I had it on just 10% power, 100mm/sec, and that's heavy paper- actually the same stuff the TWB book covers are made from. It didn't burn through, it just burned off like the top layer. The darker patterns to the right scorched through to the other side of the paper, but this was really just a test.

Oh, and the line art?If I have a moment, I'll finish that up and post it as a proper drawing, too. :)

Nice, We've got an Epilog Mini 18 40watt here. I do like not having to use a chiller, but I do want to get a larger laser that the current smaller footprint 18 inch... Also have a 20 watt Fiber .. Laser are always fun!

"Yes, she's that hot. (Especially when the weather is warm; all that fur isn't just for looks!)"

Tawny-cake... Very nice. She's gorgeous. I look forward to seeing the regular images. Good seeing cheesecake of the ladies again, I hope you decide to put more up on a regular basis.

I don't think automated vectorizing works that well. Might have to trace the vector art over the pixel art. I've done that a few times before in Inkscape.

Engrave some grips or barrels?
