Would people be interested in a Discord server? (Patreon)

Just been pondering the idea lately, I always thought it felt really egotistical and self centred to start my own discord server, but most people don't seem to share my opinions so I wanna know if it's something everyone would be interested in D:

I have no idea how I would run it, I just figured it'd be nice to have a server like that for everyone to talk and shitpost and stuff, and it'd probably help strengthen relations between me and all of you ( ' - ')b I'm on discord all day everyday anyways, is just an idea that I wanna get peoples opinions on for now, could be fun!

might be a good idea to practice your discord-skills IF you're afraid patreon will cause you trouble in the future (regarding the content of your work). Discord gets used not only to chat, but to share content patreon won't allow. From my personal point of a "customer's" view: It's really confusing trying to get used to the different ways that creators present their work. no names, wrong names, no folders, some animations can be found in their MEGA archive, some in their GOOGLE DRIVE archive, some on DISCORD and sometimes you even have to use RESILIO SYNC. Then you are never sure, if the creator himself has maybe missed something. So: As long as you keep your existing and new patreons INFORMED about where exactly to find what part of your work, it's always a good idea to offer customers more options (for example chatting with you via discord). Key element here remains the OVERVIEW so that your fans always are ORIENTED.

First, I hope surgery went well. And then, I agree with you. Having a Discord server is egotistical in mine opinion. And I don't really see the point of it. I mean, if you want to post content that Patreon don't allow you can just host it somewhere else and share the link. Also, I don't really like Discord. But if you create one, maybe I will take a look.
