Jade was wearing a workout bodysuit, which hid little as she gaped at her reflection in the mirror, her clammy hands gripping the sink. Her abdomen had expanded into a rounded orb in the matter of seconds, sticking out so firmly and prominently that she looked as though she was somehow six months pregnant!

Her lips moved wordlessly. She shook her head, her hands sliding down to clutch the full, warm orb, which was still packed with so much tension that she found herself grimacing. What the hell was happening to her?

She felt a lurching. Jade groaned as she suffered a new surge of tension, her body arching by instinct, seeking relief. She whined as her belly pushed out, at least another inch. She yelped at the popping sensation of her inwards belly button being propelled outwards, now protruding like a fucking oven timer! Jade stumbled back against the wall, gasping for breath as she clutched her belly, as though to hold in anymore growths. She silently prayed for this ordeal to be over.

Her body was pouring sweat as she waited there, cursing and praying, desperately rubbing the swell with her palms. Moments passed, and her body remained calm.

“Hey, everything okay in there?” called Beth from the other side of the door.

Jade pushed herself off the wall. Her balance was awkward as she stepped forward, her bodysuit stretched tightly against the increased size of her body. She grunted as she awkwardly navigated her way to the door, unlocking it. She pulled it open to Beth, whose eyes immediately shot down to Jade’s stomach.

“Oh dear,” Beth breathed.

“I think it’s j-just some indigestion,” stammered Jade, not even convincing herself. She pushed past her friend to waddle into the main area. There, she found two dozen or so women staring at her.

“What the fuck,” Stacy mouthed.

The pregnant woman from earlier looked truly shocked. She was lightly cupping her own rounded belly, a queasy sight to Jade. So Jade wrenched her gaze away.

“It’s just an allergy,” Jade fumbled her way through another explanation. “I think it’s my new p-perfume. Just some swelling.”

The other women continued to gawk. The pilates instructor, not one for punctuality, strolled inside. She gasped and dropped her gear as she joined the others in staring at Jade.

“I’m gonna grab my allergy medicine from the car,” claimed Jade, her face hot. She waddled for the door, biting her lip as her belly gurgled, and just prayed that the growths didn’t start up again.

Jade didn’t trust herself to drive. She wasn’t even sure that she would fit behind the steering wheel of her small, economic car. She called a cab, and waited impatiently at the curb as the gurgling noises increased in frequency and intensity, soon accompanied by strange stirring sensations that made her dizzy to think about. But this couldn’t be what it looked like. It had to be some freak reaction or something. Jade breathed a sigh of relief when her cab finally arrived. The driver gave a dubious look as he rolled down his window.

“You're not in labor or something, are you, lady? I don’t need a mess in my car.”

“I’m not pregnant!” snapped Jade indignantly as she opened the back seat door and eased herself down with a grunt. She felt so awkward and heavy, her insides bloated and lurching. She sucked in long breaths of air as the car cruised along, the driver periodically throwing her nervous glances through the rearview mirror. Every bump in the road made her cry out, her loins seeming to spasm. It almost felt like something really was inside of her, biding its time for escape.

The pressure was creeping back in. Her belly felt as though it was throbbing. Jade was relieved when the cab finally stopped. When she struggled out of the car, she looked even bigger than before!

“Have a healthy baby,” said the driver before he sped off.

The nerve of that guy! Jade thought. She wasn’t pregnant. It was just a mix-up. She wasn’t even that big!

She whimpered as she finally staggered inside, her keys dropping from her hands as she clutched her tight belly. Her bodysuit strained to contain her.

Jack looked up at her in shock. He had been in the kitchen pouring a glass of milk.

Kathleen was wailing on the couch, inflating as usual. She looked like a damn woolly mammoth!

“Jack,” Jade sobbed, grunting as the pressure surged again. Her belly quivered as it inched outward, tears forming in her bodysuit to reveal her swollen, pressurized flesh. She was so tight, so full, and was only getting fuller!

“Jade!” said Jack as he hurried over to her. “Oh my god, you’re pregnant!” He held her in his arms, her belly pulsing as it pushed out between them, tearing through the jumpsuit in a formidable, expanding dome.
