No, no I will not be subjecting myself to decades old memes that only people with a birth year starting in 19 will understand. I will not lower myself to quoting boys with dehydrated noodle hair just to indicate that this year is almost halfway over. We have standards in this house and we shall sternly abide by them.

Now with that stiff upper lip firmly in place, let’s push this update down the hill.

Key information

Before we dip into current events, I do want to remind everyone that you can find ALL the information about this Patreon on this guide here: Onyrica’s Patreon Guide

This includes information such as how to use Starstickers and when availability opens, how the mentorship system works, which prints are eligible to purchase, how to join the Discord and more.

You can also find supporting information on the StarStickers guide (requires a login), as well as in the dedicated channels of the Discord (#StarStickers, #Mentorship,  #Announcements) and, of course, in the pinned post of this timeline and the bottom of every single one of these updates.

I do appreciate that this Patreon is quite involved by the virtue of having many different rewards and a unique points system, but this is why I’ve put all the information out there through every avenue possible. And failing that, the comments/my email/my DMs are always open for enquiries, so please don’t sit in the dark when in doubt- the light switches are all over the place!

StarStickers: Point Reset

As I have been announcing for over 3 months in my ongoing mission to balance things out for myself and existing patrons, the point reset on unpledged accounts has now been reinstated. This means the following:

Any account that’s been unpledged for 6 months or longer by May 4th will be automatically cleared from StarStickers and any accrued points will be reset.

This applies to any pledge deleted before December 2022. If a pledge was deleted afterwards, it’ll have the remaining time between deletion and 6 months before the reset applies.

Going forward, every account that deletes their pledge will have 6 months to repledge and keep their points.

If you are a former patron and wish to retain your points, please make sure you repledge before the 4th to avoid the reset, as this will happen automatically and cannot be undone.

If you are a current pledging patron this update does not affect you at all.

This information has been updated across all guides and systems. If you find anything that contradicts the information above please point it out to me asap so it can be rectified.

Patreon: Tier lock

All Patreon tiers remain capped and the numbers are continuously being revised/shrunk to make sure that I progress towards having a manageable workload. At the time of this post, these are all available slots:

  • Easy Tier: 1 slot
  • Intermediate Tier: 1 slot
  • Advanced Tier: 2 slots
  • Mentor Tier: 0 slots
  • Extreme Tier: 0 slots
  • Ultimate Tier: 0 slots

Please note that if your pledge is declined and unresolved within the month it still remains occupying a slot even though you’re not effectively a patron. If you no longer wish to be a patron please delete your pledge manually from your account page, as otherwise the slot will continue to be locked up and I’ll have to file a request to Patreon’s CS team.

Rewards: Illustrated and Merchandise

Illustrated rewards: availability will open between the 5th and 10th, as per protocol. Availability will still be very limited on account of the current intensity of my workload and delays affecting the existing backlog, so your patience at this time will be appreciated.

Merchandise rewards: four new prints have been added to the shop in both A4 and A5 sizes!

Additionally I’m making a new artbook, as the last one sold out. This one will be produced with much higher quality and it’ll feature a selection of my art so far, split by categories and styles.

That said, I am still torn between sizes as some people have expressed interest in an A4 book (standard paper size, 210 x 297 mm), and others would prefer A5 (half of that, 148.5 x 210 mm). So, to put it to the people: what would you prefer? Also, are there any particular pieces you’d like to see included?

Once they’re ready, the artbooks will be a StarStickers exclusive so please look forward to it!

General updates

As we’re all sick of hearing me talk about, the NDA show continues on. The crunch on that project has been intense and after I delivered on the April 6 deadline, I had to rest my hand for a week as I had some severe swelling going on around the knuckles.

Past that, I got a chance to push out some Patreon work, but I recently received a new set of deadlines, so my production might once again waver as I focus on that once more. If all goes well though, this whole project should be done by mid to late June and then I can go back to being in control of things. Ish.

Lastly, for those of you in the UK, I will be showing once more at the London MCM Comic Con at the end of this month. Thankfully much of the prep from last October will facilitate this one, but I suspect there will still be a few sleepless nights closer to the date as I bargain for my life against the printer.

So - once more, with feeling - thank you so much for sticking it out and being patient with me. It means more than you know in these extremely crunchy times.

And honestly? At the end of the day, if there’s someone out there who’s gonna draw your OCs…

I'm leaning towards a4 over a5 for the artbook, although I bend to the whim of the people (and the shippability of the goods)

Well, as for the artbook, I think that the A5 format will be perfect. And thanks for the nice update. And happy May!
