And so it was decided that she'd never paint another au'ra scale again. @_@

The simplicity of this piece belies the sheer amount of effort that went into it. It's hard to explain where most of the time was sunk, because it mostly feels like it was stuff you'd only noticed if you looked up close. But that was the point of this piece - to weave in all this intricacy - in the scales, in the hair, in the weapons - into something that was very dynamic and harmonious at the same time.

Basically it was a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of how this turned out and it's probably one of my favourite pieces this year and as a whole.

(As I mentioned in the WIP, the title - Terpsichore - is, in Greek mythology, "one of the nine Muses and goddess of dance and chorus. She lends her name to the word "terpsichorean" which means "of or relating to dance". Terpsichore was also the name of the Dancer relic in FFXI and I loved that job/game/name, so it felt appropriate to use it here.)
